My beautiful niece once again wrapped in things I've made. Proud aunt! She's really surprised by nap time...
Frohe Weihnachten from the Spurlocks! Got this Christmas Pyramid and carved nativity from Germany. Oh the pain to get that thing home was worth it! My Nana had a pyramid and I couldn't resist!
"Ich bin ein Berliner" -JFK, 1963. To say "I'm from Berlin (or of Berlin)" is "Ich bin Berliner." But the president wanted to say he stands with Berliners during the Cold War so his wording was actually correct to covey his meaning. A "Berliner" is pictured here. "I am a Jelly Donut." This bakery actually has this phrase on their advertisements. #JFK #Germanpuns
Really though, I don't think I'll ever get over how cool these Weihnachtsmarkte are. And I love how they're all in the town centers so you get to see the amazing chrurches! Osnabruek, Germany.
Found a call bridge today with love locks on them. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_lock Cool buildings and seal on the floor. I think it's a dedication to the original mall. Shaun das Schaf! He's my favorite Wallace and Grommit character. He must have his own show or something. And finally, inexpensive Brie. Heaven.
Found some love locks on a bridge today. How romantic!
Outside and inside St. Bonifatius Church; boats on the canal.
Remember when I said they allowed dogs in the mall? This one has her derpy little tongue out!
City Hall, another cool building. Church number two, Reformed church and three, Lutheran. "Isst das einen katze?"
Lingen, Germany. Today I saw some pretty cool buildings. St. Bonifatius Church was built in 1833. Then there's a badass playground. Delicious latte and croissant and finally Haus Hellmann built in 1641, not in traditional Dutch style but Osnabruek style. Words in Latin, Lower German an Standard German. (Note I'm not this smart I got the facts from a tourist brochure!)
I'm in love...

Peacock Hamlet confronted by father’s ghost.
SHUT UP. EVERYTHING IS HAMLET.
*resists urge to direct all-peacock productions of various Shakespeare plays*
Peacock Hamlet suspicious of Peacock Ophelia’s motives.
Peacock Polonius is sick and tired of Peacock Hamlet’s shit
Peacockcrantz and Guildenpeacock are not on Fortunes cap the very button, but neither are they the soles of her shoes. In fact, they are peacocks.
Love some Hamlet.
"I will do it! I will take the ring to Mordor!" [via]
Hahaha love it!
Found the Christmas Market!
Made it to Germany and I have the change to prove it! No interesting pictures yet...
