This blog is an rp blog for a world of ocs! I won't spoil too much of their world here but I will say a few things. It also comes out with the stories these OCs are in and those will be marked.
This takes place in a mash up of all religions (think Doctor who style) though mostly Greek. It's not at all truthful to stories from religions, mostly using them as inspiration.
You're also welcome (and highly encouraged) to flood my ask box! I accept all questions, including 18+, though when I reply it will be marked as such. Also, unless stated otherwise, the characters will be the ones speaking!
No homophobia, transphobia or anything of the type towards any of the characters because some are LGBTQ. Just don't be an asshole. Other than that, happy asking and Hell says hi!
To talk to a character, simply say who you're talking to in my ask box and the character will be ready and waiting!
Cast what music do you know /including that asshole I think dalos/
Typhon:
"Well, I'm not a big music person. Mercury says I remind him of a lounge singer with my voice so I know the songs Love Potion #9 and Sway. Quite good music, but personally, I have enough in my head, I don’t need music too."
Mercury:
"Punk. We Don't Have To Dance is a good one. I like Boys Feel Sad Too when I need something quieter. But my party music is a beast all of its own."
Dante:
"I don't get much time to listen to music. But when I do get music, I listen to The Hunting Song, though I kinda like The Dismemberment Song and Hell And You, even if I'm not much of a romantic."
Nedrigo:
"Well, I like alot of jazz. It's good for studying if you can't focus and i like saxophones. Nothing really in particular, just some tunes."
Dolos: (Bonus)
"Great Balls Of Fire, it's quite a nice song, even if, like my bastard brother, I don't listen to much music."
"I can only assume this is talking about my reveal so I'll use this space to address to admit it. Yes, I love Mercury. I've seen hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of souls and only has Mercury left me absolutely smitten. I've protected him since the day I let myself realize I liked him, and I do. I adore him."
[Typhoom. are you okay. We have never see you so sad]
Typhon:
"He'll be fine, Asker. Mercury’s wound is already starting to heal. It's just... since we came back to life, Mercury went from being burnt alive to Dolos slicing him. He's been in alot of pain and that is the cause of my lament. It'll pass, Asker. Mercury always makes sure of that."
Typhon's abrupt entrance into a room sets off a series of intense and chaotic events. Typhon, followed by Dante and Nedrigo, witnesses Dolos attacking Mercury with a dagger, leaving him gravely injured. In the chaos, Typhon decides to leave with Mercury to ensure his safety, while Dante and Nedrigo are left to deal with Dolos. Despite feeling abandoned and betrayed by Typhon, Dante manages to incapacitate Dolos and escapes with Nedrigo to a mansion. At the mansion, Dante frantically searches for Typhon, ultimately finding him with the wounded Mercury.
Typhon pushed through a door, causing it to slam open. Dante stood behind him, trying to wrap his head around everything that had just happened with Nedrigo close behind, looking at Angus, who was making his way out. With another door portal, the room on the other side had Dolos and Mercury. It was a small office room, reds and blacks decorating it with flicks of mahogany. Though a new red added to the collection.
As Typhon slammed through the door, the sound of cutting flesh shot out. A large slash came across Mercury’s chest from a dagger in a hand belonging to none other than Dolos. Mercury fell back, catching himself against the desk behind him, grabbing for the wound.
Typhon burst in the room at the sight, Nedrigo running toward Dolos. Dante on the other hand, tried to run to Mercury but before he could. Dolos grabbed the nape of Dante's neck, pulling him back.
Horror flashed in Typhon's eyes, darting from Dante and Mercury. After a deep breath, Typhon spat out, "I'm sorry. I need to get him somewhere safe," and burst out of the room, using a door portal.
Dante looked behind his shoulder, at Dolos. Nedrigo tried to break free from his grasp, kicking and yelling but for Dante, things were silent. Time seemed like it froze and not a single thought crossed his mind. Dolos said something with a smug grin on his face, but Dante couldn't hear it, nor did he care. Everything felt so slow. Nedrigo's voice didn't carry to his ears, neither did. No distant noise from outside the wall, no crackling of candles, nothing. All that existed in the world was Dante and the hand on the back of his throat. Typhon had left him to die.
Then suddenly, all at once, time came crashing back. Dante ripped sleeping darts out of his bag, the same ones he used for Cadm and dug three into Dolos' neck.
The next thing Dante knew, Dolos was laying on the ground, unconscious.
"Typhon," Nedrigo panted, "he just left."
"He left us to die! I shouldn't have been able to do that! He was a god! We can't kill him, but apparently we can knock him out? That was my only hope."
Dolos stirred in his unconscious state.
"Shit, let's get out of here before he wakes up."
Nedrigo started to walk out but Dante took off running. He sprinted as fast as he could, barely letting Nedrigo keep up with him at all. His legs could barely carry him at the speed he was going, pushing past people, dodging and shoving like a snake until he found the limousine. Dante scrambled and gave the driver, who was surprisingly still in the driver seat, the paper Typhon had given him and shoved through the door into the car.
Nedrigo caught up a few seconds later, panting as he did but Dante was sitting at the back, gripping his shoulders with his head ducked.
"He just left us, Ned. He just left. He didn’t even give me one of his weapons or something, he just left. If it's us or Mercury, he chooses Mercury," Dante was barely talking to Nedrigo, more talking to himself. "And I was starting to think he cared for me!" Dante burst out, he looked up at Nedrigo, a mix of hurt and anger drawn across his face.
"He still might," Nedrigo searched for a way to help as the driver took off. "Mercury was hurt. He needed to-"
"He could have taken us too!"
Nedrigo stuttered, trying to help but not knowing how. "Well, Dolos had us. Mercury would probably have died if he tried to get us too. Maybe he was confident in you enough to leave."
Dante just grumbled, "Bullshit," and watched the buildings go by.
Eventually, the car stopped inside the iron wrought gates of a huge mansion. It was incredible, with a long courtyard full of flourishing plants, which didn't seem all that common from the sights Dante had seen in Hell. The building itself was massive, nearly castle-like, with towers and spires, gargoyles built into overhangs.
Despite the spectacle, Dante raced inside, Nedrigo sticking behind to look at the place. There was no doubt that Typhon wasn't in there.
Dante opened every door he could find on the first floor, which seemed to be made of recreational areas; bars, billiards room, living rooms, staff bedrooms for the workers around the mansion. But he never found Typhon. Then, he ran up a flight of stairs: nothing. Storage and a massive gym. Another flight, more bedrooms for staff and small activity rooms. One last flight.
Dante found himself in a hallway, kicking in each door, despite most not even being locked. There were a few empty guest bedrooms, though, when he reached the end of the hall, Dante kicked the door in one last time.
Mercury was laid out on the bed, asleep, with Typhon sitting next to him, one hand holding Mercury’s, the other around his cheek. He looked lost and his eyes kept tracing back to the wound dug into Mercury’s chest, hopelessly.
Dante had fought in a war, he knew the look of someone seeing a lover hurt. He knew what the sorrow looked like but Typhon's was mixed with regret.
"The healing will fix this, I know it will," Typhon mumbled to himself quietly and brushed Mercury’s hair away from his eyes. Typhon leaned forward and kissed Mercury’s forehead, standing up. "I love you. Rest for me."
Certain things started to piece together for Dante. They'd never left each other's side and no employer would care so deeply for just an employee. Typhon's choice to bring Mercury to life with him wasn't born out of a want for protection, but one born out of love.
But once Typhon had stood up, he turned around to see Dante in the doorway.
Dante was confused and shocked but he felt a small amount of pity. He'd seen the same look in Typhon's eyes in people who watched their lover die in front of them. The look was pained but no tears were in Typhon's eyes. Mercury wasn't dead, and was expected to heal fast because of Typhon turning him into a demon, but Typhon still worried. If he were to die, he'd die slowly and Typhon's eyes knew that, even if it wasn't likely. He knew that his death would be a painful one.
Typhon looked at Dante, unmoving, like a deer in headlights. "Let's talk downstairs."
Hello everyone. Sorry for the lack of Red Light updates recently. Finals and burnout dragged me to Hell so I've been trying to escape since then.
Jokes aside, episode 17 is coming out right now and has a big reveal. It's a bit shorter than the others since the burnout is still kinda there but it's a new episode.
Typhoon you're so confident that you have a girlfriend then what does she look like
Typhon:
"I assume you're another assuming I'm dating Mercury? To clear the air on that, first and foremost, I do not like men. I've never found myself attracted to one, though especially not Mercury. As much as I enjoy his company, I'd drive myself insane dating him. I can only handle such energy for so long before he becomes tiring. Though, to answer your question, Asker, she's rather tall, especially for a succubus who tend to be smaller. A brunette, I've always had an appreciation of brown hair. Small pokey horns and very round eyes. Satisfy you, asker?"
Typhoon sir is that you I must say it has been awhile I know it has been a long time since my military service but I still remember when you and mercury would come down and play poker with us soldiers how have you been sir
Typhon:
"Ah, yes. A soldier of mine. I was waiting until one of you showed up here. Mercury and I have been fine, things have been complicated but nothing more. I'm sure if you're on this page, you know that."
Dante and Nedrigo exit a casino and wander through Hell's busy, vibrant streets. They encounter various demons, distinguishable by their animal traits. Intrigued, Dante enters a smoke shop and buys a "Sloth extract" cigarette, learning about different extracts and their effects. After lighting the cigarette using his newfound Devil powers, Dante continues exploring until he and Nedrigo are suddenly captured and restrained by Angus Morales, a henchman of Dolos. Angus explains Dolos's grudge against Typhon, linked to a past betrayal involving Mercury. Typhon arrives, overpowers Angus, and rescues Dante and Nedrigo, revealing his ability to use doors as portals within his domain. The situation is dire as Dolos is now alone with Mercury.
Dante and Nedrigo had awkwardly left through the casino door, admiring everything around him. People around them were made to look their best. Beautiful clothing, makeup to cover each blemish, not a single thing out of place. Amazing spectacles of light and smells filled the streets with the promise of profits.
Dante was supposed to head straight to the limousine, look nowhere else, but he started making his way down the street. Nedrigo laughed as Dante made his way further and further.
"Typhon's gonna kill you," Nedrigo laughed, peering into a storefront. Sweet smells of perfume clashing with woody cologne as they pushed through crowds of demons.
"*Typhon* would walk around too."
Dante kept walking. Some demons, it was easy to tell where they came from. Scantily clad demons: clearly from Lust. Though, some were harder to tell. Some paraded peacock tails, Pride, Lust? Both worked. Eyes peaked from the shadows as they both watched, dismissed as nothing more than a Hell staple.
The first store Dante pushed his way into was a smoke shop. Beautiful displays of cigars were next to stacks of cigarettes, some blue, some purple, though most were yellow. Dante peaked at the table for the purple label. "Lust extract" then the yellow one; "Greed Extract". Then the last being "Sloth extract", the blue one. Every color packed nicely into a small cigarette of their own.
Dante peered over the counter at a shopkeep, a man with oak colored hair that dropped to the side, fuzzy but taken care of. "What are these?"
"Extract?" The man spoke as though Dante were an alien, clearly, extract wasn't something uncommon. "Um, Sloth chills you out and Lust gets you in the mood. Greed makes people feel lucky in the casinos and makes you better at pickpocketing, at least that's what people say. You just smoke it, then you get the effects."
Dante turned the Sloth cigarette over in his hands a few times, then slid a few gold pieces over. Surprisingly, Hell used the same currency. The man took the gold, dropping them below the counter, somewhere unseen.
"How do you trust that, Dante? Oh, yes. Let me walk down to a place made to trick people and just start smoking. Genius," Nedrigo laughed as Dante checked his pockets for a lighter, only to roll his eyes and come up empty handed, staring to move towards the door.
Dante focused on his fingertips. He'd melted metal all the way back in Apollo's cage, surely it could light a cigarette. But as Dante focused, a small thought pushed forward. Fire, heat. Hell. Dante melted metal and could heat up his hands because of Typhon. Typhon's blood. He had Devil blood. He was no longer an elf. He was a Devil.
With a big pop of a flame, the cigarette was lit. Blue smoke came out in small little whisps after Dante had pulled his hand away. He'd have another question when he returned to Typhon.
"I can't trust anything here, so I'll do anything because there's no base line of trust so everything can be trusted," Dante took a puff from the cigarette, blowing it towards Nedrigo.
Nedrigo was too far for the smoke to reach it, though they'd made it to the street by now. "That makes no sense."
"You know what makes no sense, these people. This place looks like a zoo! Fuck it, I'll just start asking people what everyone is."
Much to Nedrigo's dismay, Dante reached out and grabbed a random man. The person he grabbed had brown scruffy hair with curled horns sprouting from the top of head. Sprouting from his back was a small fawn tail with white speckles in the fur of his tail.
As Dante grabbed his shoulder, the man turned and stopped walking. The person walking next to him stopped as well. A man with wings gilded in gold stopped as well, shifting his weight onto one leg.
"Question, new to Hell, um," Dante glanced between the two, taking note of their animal features. "Why does everyone have animal pieces?"
"Some people get these when they die," the man started talking, clearly not happy that he was talking to strangers. "They represent their ring. This whore is a bird," he gestured beside him to a man with wings perched on his back. "He's from Lust. I, myself, am from Pride. Which tends to have forest animals. Now, if you don't mind, we have places to be."
As the two left, Dante started walking again, Nedrigo close in tow. They gazed into storefronts, restaurants, even the occasional drug shop, but mostly, Dante looked into the casinos. They were spectacular. Beautiful lights and even better exteriors, each with their own allure.
Having enough sightseeing, Dante pushed inside one. A dark purple casino with flicks of lavender, called the Shattering Heart's Casino. There were a few silhouettes painted onto the walls, most a circle with a wavy swipe in the middle, spawning a laugh from Nedrigo.
"Lust," Nedrigo pointed at a circle on the wall. "That's the symbol for Lust. I only know that because a dude painted it on his door one time. He was a whore, but I think that was obvious."
Dante headed towards it, trying to get a better look, but as he did, he felt something yank him towards a door. A hand ran over his mouth ad he grabbed for Nedrigo.
What felt like seconds later, Dante came to. Nedrigo was across from him with fabric stopping him from speaking. Around their wrists were cuffs, metal and strong. Whoever had them chained meant business.
A few moments of groggy breaths later, the man himself walked out. He had dirty blond hair and sleazy eyes, nearly blocked out by cigarette smoke. Still a bit hazy, Dante looked at him. Tucked into his fedora was two small bull horns. Dolos. That was one of his men.
Dante yelled, surprisingly he didn't have the fabric in his mouth, "What the fuck is going on?"
With a grin, the man answered, "So you both are vocal? Your little buddy here would shut up, so I gagged him. Be happy it was fabric."
"Who the fuck are you?" Dante, fruitlessly tried to heat up his palms to melt the metal like he'd done to Apollo, but all he got was warm hands.
"Angus Morales, always nice to meet Dolos's family," Angus stepped closer, almost in a laugh. "I'm Dolos's favorite of his workers. I'm not supposed to collect, usually I get his girls ready to rent, but I'm sure he'd love to see you two thrown into cages. He excused himself from his meeting with your dad and sent his boys his little bull. He doesn't like you, or your dad."
"I could tell! Why do they even hate each other?" Dante yelled, trying to get him caught up in a story while he found a way to escape.
"Well, when your daddy was still a womanizer," Dante scoffed at how Angus referred to Typhon, "Mercury was working for Dolos. But Mercury went to work for Typhon in some big political movement. Plus, Typhon got to rule Hell and Dolos was left to the scraps. Sure, Dolos was dead when Typhon took over-"
"Dead?"
Suddenly, things started falling into place. Typhon had mentioned his brother dying and Dolos was his brother. Dolos was the one they'd killed and if Typhon and Mercury could come to life, so could he.
"Things in the Morningstar family-" Angus was cut off by the sound of a door opening. Typhon was there, in the doorway. He looked around for half a second before he lunged forward, slamming Angus into the ground with his hand.
Dante starred as Typhon picked up Angus by his throat and slammed him against the wall.
"Dolos-" Angus squeaked out, only for Typhon to pluck a dagger from his pocket and bring it towards his face.
Typhon drew a line from Angus's ear to his eye, slowly. "Tell me what he wants or I'll reteach Hell why I'm in charge."
"He- he-" Angus stuttered as Typhon threw Angus's head up, exposing his throat to Typhon where he rested his knife.
"Talk faster," Typhon turned the knife to the side, making Angus feel the cold metal.
"I don't know! He says he want you out, he says he's going to take *all of you*."
Typhon grit his teeth, clearly thinking. Suddenly, he slammed Angus into the ground, kicking him towards the wall. As soon as Angus fell, he uncuffed Nedrigo and Dante, pulling them out of the room.
"That bastard.." Nedrigo's voice trailed off as he removed the fabric.
"Typhon, what's wrong? How did you know we were here?" Dante scrambled to his feet, following Typhon out and trying to keep up with him.
Typhon was walking quicker than usual, clearly upset as he pushed through the door. "Hell is my domain. I can use doors as portals."
"Then what's wrong?" Dante looked back to Nedrigo, who was behind them.
Dante and Nedrigo find themselves in the Capitol with Typhon, who informs them they're leaving for a destination unknown. They are taken to Hell in a luxurious limousine, where Typhon reveals his status as a Devil and former god. They arrive in the city of Greed and meet Dolos, Typhon's brother, who taunts them before Typhon abruptly ends the meeting. Typhon gives Dante an address and symbol, instructing them to leave with his driver.
Things were a bit awkward around the Capitol. Dante filled Nedrigo in on the little knowledge he'd been given while they waited for whatever Typhon had planned.
"So, he basically just showed up and now you're working for him?" Nedrigo was sitting on, what used to be, Nolan's bed while Dante laid in his own, tossing a ball up in the air.
"I mean, basically. I was kinda just wandering and then boom, father."
The room felt so much more empty without more people in it. Sure, the bunker wasn't full. It never was since there was nearly thirty beds, having one stacked on another, but it felt more lonely.
Suddenly, the Hellish Raven appeared at the foot of Dante's bed. Nedrigo cocked his head for a few seconds, talking before the bird spoke.
"Isn't that a messenger? We learned about them-" Nedrigo was cut off by Typhon speaking.
"Good, you're awake. Come outside and bring your stuff. Pack as though you're taking a vacation, if you haven't already, and hurry," With the final word, the Raven disappeared.
Dante groaned, tossing the ball he was messing with into his open suitcase. Something about vacationing with Typhon didn't sit right. He knew, of course, that this wasn't a vacation but the mention of one was enough to make Dante uneasy, especially after Typhon had dodged so many questions yesterday.
After grabbing their suitcases, which were never unpacked after coming home from the school, Nedrigo and Dante headed outside. Parked in front of the Capitol building was a long, black limousine with the sigil for Greed covering the rims of the tires. Cars, while existing, weren't incredibly commonplace and cars to this caliber were one in a million. The limousine had blacked out windows with paint that matched the darkness. No light dared to shine on the exterior with the only bright color being the golden symbol of Greed. Two circles, one inside the other with three even smaller circles in a triangle on the second smallest segment.
"Why the fuck are we using horses when we have this?" Dante yelled, walking faster towards the limousine.
Mercury popped open one of the doors, poking his head out from inside the limo. His curl of hair covered the base of his new horns like grass at the base of a tree. "We were waiting for you. Come inside. We have a game going, I've promised not to cheat."
Nedrigo pointed to the symbol on the wheel's rim. "Greed, right? It was mentioned like once in school. I could be wrong. But I think it's one of the sins."
"It is," Typhon's voice came from inside the limousine. "You'll figure out why very soon. Just get in the car."
Dante made his way in, Nedrigo following behind him. Inside was Typhon and Mercury, sat next to each other, playing cards. The seats were long black couches on either side of the walls with a loveseat at the end where Typhon and Mercury were playing their game. Embedded into the middle of the long couches was what seemed to be a cooler with a black lid over it. It was magnificent.
"Come play," Mercury gestured for them both to join the game, setting out two more decks.
As Dante and Nedrigo sat on the edges of the couches closest to the loveseat, the car started driving. There was a wall separating the driver seat from everyone, so Nedrigo and Dante flinched, though Typhon and Mercury seemed like nothing had even happened.
About halfway through another round of blackjack, Dante spoke, "So, where are we going? And since you can't dodge the question if you're stuck with us, you're going to answer my questions."
"Our home." Mercury shuffled his cards around, setting a jack into the discard pile. "We have someone to talk to. You'll meet him when we get there, unfortunately."
"Unfortunately?" Nedrigo's turn was next, pulling a six of hearts from the deck, adding to a four of clubs and an eight of diamonds. He'd never played before, so he had just assumed he was winning.
"We hate him," Typhon and Mercury spoke in unison, both nearly in a hiss.
"However," Typhon continued as he pulled a two of clubs, adding to his combined nineteen. "He owes me a favor and we'd both play much nicer if we didn't owe each other anything."
"What a bitch," Mercury grumbled as he looked at Typhon, grinning. "Hey, you got twenty-one. Don't hide it."
"How did you see that? His cards were hidden!" Nedrigo set his cards onto his legs, assuming the game was over.
"I'm a gambler and Typhon gave me magic. I see your cards. It's not like it does me much good in blackjack, but it's fun to see."
"You guys are having a lot of conversation and not answering a lot of questions," Dante grumbled, setting a collective eighteen onto the table. "Typhon, you had a wife? That's what the school said."
Typhon scoffed and Mercury burst out laughing. "I wouldn't call it much of a marriage," As Mercury collected the cards, shuffling them back into the deck, Typhon glanced out the window, they were headed somewhere Dante had never been, "And to add, you've never asked about her. It was a political marriage. I appeared at dinners and when I was needed, then the rest of the time, I was home. I was just getting soldiers for when I killed Linus. When I no longer needed the king's men, I left and never saw her again."
"Typhon didn't like her. She started telling his *secrets*," Mercury laughed as he set out new decks for everyone. "Typhon had other partners during the time he was *married*-"
Typhon cut him off, "Dante does not need to know that part."
"Awh. Come on. I could tell him about your-"
"No."
Mercury kept talking, despite Typhon's protests. "-teenage years. Typhon was real friendly with the women when he was younger."
"You'll be the death of me, Mercury," sighed Typhon, much to Dante's disgust.
Over the next few hours, they all talked, most jokes made by Mercury were at Typhon's expense. Eventually, Dante had fallen asleep with his head against the back of the seat, looking straight into the roof. Nedrigo followed suit, clearly not used to long rides.
Though, in the middle of Nedrigo's deep sleep, he was startled awake. It felt as though he'd fallen ever so slightly. Nedrigo jolted forward, looking at his surroundings. Mercury and Typhon had fallen asleep as well, though it looked much lighter. Mercury had his back to Typhon's side, using him as a back rest. Typhon slept like Dante, though he seemed much more used to sleeping in the limousine and had somehow found a pillow to put under his head.
Nedrigo turned to look outside, hopefully recognizing his surroundings. Though when he looked outside, all he saw was glowing off in the distance. There laid a very, very bright city, despite it being night time by now.
A few hours later, Dante woke up, Nedrigo following suit after going back to bed. The smell of cigarettes poked into the limousine from an open door. Stood in the doorway, Mercury was talking to Typhon. Dante moved over, stretching as he poked his head out the door. Around him was beautiful. The streets were full of glistening lights, only being out-shined by the sun. The road was like a labyrinth lined with casinos, various hotels, and massive restaurants, each casino door wide open, welcoming new demons to their games of chance. The streets are alive with demons milling from casino to casino. Each one having a different pair of horns atop their head, some reminiscent of Typhon's own.
"Welcome, boys, to our home. The Greed ring of Hell," Typhon gestured down the streets, happy to be home while Mercury was trying to run off to a casino.
"Hell?" Dante screamed. "What are-"
"The ruler of Hell, Dante, in the undead flesh. This is where I was born, this is where I will most likely die for the final time-"
"I fucking hate you. Any more secrets you'd like me to fucking know?" Dante was pissed. Sure, the city around him seemed like his paradise but everything Typhon did only brought more questions.
"Hm, well, first. We are not fawns, we're Devils, which are different from demons. The title, Ruler of Hell is passed down. My *father* had it before me. Only people with the Morningstar bloodline can be in charge. However, there are seven smaller sins-"
Nedrigo cut Typhon off, "The deadly sins!'
"I wouldn't consider Sloth to be deadly, he's more annoying than a real threat. Anyways," Typhon continued. "Those smaller sins work for me. They rule each ring under me. I am essentially their supervisor, as well as taking care of Limbo, the place where souls wait to be sorted, and Violence, Hell's jail. Questions?"
"How the fuck are we in Hell?" Dante yelled, again. At least this time Typhon waited for questions. "And back in the school, you were talking about some god shit, what's with that?"
Typhon gave a small wince, covered by Mercury trying not to laugh. "Aw, yes. Godlyhood. When I was born I was a god-"
Dante tried to cut Typhon off with even more questions, but Typhon just spoke assertively over him.
"However," continued Typhon, "when I killed Linus, the higher gods stripped me of my godhood. They ripped away my ability to access my godly magic and shortened my lifespan to that of a normal Devil's. The goddess responsible for taking it goes by the name Asara. Before you ask, you are not a god. I'm not quite sure when you were born, however, I'm very aware that it didn't happen while I was a god."
Dante spent a few seconds just blinking, staring at Typhon before Mercury butted in.
"That was before me, too. I knew him a few years after it happened. Dunno, maybe you weren't as much of a drunk back then," Mercury laughed, still gazing around him at his home, longing to go into a casino.
"I met Mercury in a bar, if you didn't know. Regardless-"
Nedrigo cut Typhon off. "How did I go from being at a school, to being with an ex-god, who's supposed to be dead mind you, to being in Hell."
"Welcome to my world," Dante rolled his eyes, frustrated with nearly everything around him.
"Enough talking. We have a purpose for being here. Follow me," Typhon started to walk away, only to be stopped by Mercury tugging on his jacket sleeve.
"We should stall longer. He sucks, I don't want to talk to-"
Dante cut off Mercury. He was starting to get a bit fed up with everything and this was all a lot to process. "Mercury, I thought you were Typhon's slave when we met. I assumed he would have killed you for just stopping him from doing what he wants," Dante bit his sentences out. It was all too much to process and he wasn't going to be nice about it.
Typhon and Mercury looked genuinely bewildered. Nedrigo, on the other hand, was trying to hold back a chuckle. Mercury just awkwardly held onto Typhon's jacket sleeve, trying to think of a response.
All Dante got in return was Typhon assertively saying, "You thought wrong."
Typhon kept walking, talking to Mercury as he did, nearly dragging him. The group made their way towards a beautiful casino. Mixes of reds and blacks were laced with gold, brandished off with the words "Royal Hearts Casino". The doors were tall and red with golden handles with flares at either end. Even despite the casino's beauty, Typhon and Mercury both scoffed. The interior was impossibly bright, with red and black flooring in the style of a roulette machine on each of its three floors being seperated by nothing more than a step and a rail differentiating between a lounging area with pool tables and the floor with slots and poker tables, each bustling with demons. Placed in the middle of the highest is a massive slot machine, large enough for the poker chip's cage to be under it. The entire room can see the result of the spin, though it has a bigger payout should Lady Luck be in your favor. Creatures that looked like humanoid snakes played games with creatures who looked almost deer like, though they were certainly not fawns. There were high rollers in suits with ram horns playing games felines that looked like they'd just stepped off a sport's field. It was the most varied location Dante had ever seen.
Nedrigo and Dante were baffled as they looked around the casino, searching for anyone that looked *normal*, yet all they saw were either animal related or demonic. The most common were aquatic creatures, though demonic creatures followed closely behind.
At the back of the casino, lied a small ring where what looked like a dog, though bigger with sharper teeth, fighting another of its kind. Hellhounds.
Typhon and Mercury kept walking, past all the glitz and glamor, talking and laughing about something Dante and Nedrigo couldn't hear. In their walk, they made their way towards another red door with golden handles placed at the back of the casino. Dante was nearly too caught up in looking at the beautiful bar display to realized, Typhon and Mercury had slipped into another room.
Nedrigo dragged Dante into the room. The man on the other side of the door has two bull horns sprouting out the front of his head almost completely hidden under a black fedora. Peeking out from under his horns was two pointed ears and black wavy hair that reached down to his shoulders. The man was dressed in a fine red blazer atop a vest with a swirling orange pattern covering a white dress shirt with the top two buttons unpinned holding a black tie. The man also was mostly clean-shaven beside a black goatee.
"Dolos," Typhon spoke, Mercury standing with his shoulder behind Typhon's.
"Awh, welcome back, Typhon. What, you couldn't even last a few days up on the surface? And I thought you were pathetic- why are there more people in my meeting room?" Dolos responded, looking over Typhon's shoulder at Nedrigo and Dante.
Mercury whispered behind him, "Let Typhon do the talking."
"That is my son," Typhon pointed behind him at Dante, then at Nedrigo. "That is a friend of his."
"So you kept a little brat? You mean to say you marched down back to Hell after returning from such a long break, leaving me to rule Hell while you had your little party on the surface and you didn't even introduce me to my nephew?" Dolos laughed and stood up, his grin snide and pointed.
"Don't pretend to care. You've slaughtered more children than I have. I came here with a-"
Dante screamed out, "Nephew?"
Mercury glared behind him at Dante as Typhon spoke. "Dolos Morningstar, my bastard brother. Regardless, Dante, let me finish. We will discuss this at home," Dante grumbled something under his breath while Typhon continued. "My newfound parenthood does nothing in the context of our arrangement. A simple need of protection in the interest of Axom’s slaughter does not concern whether or not I have a child."
"You waltz down here with the spawn of an elf, pathetic Typhon, I didn't know you slept with elves too. You're clearly Hell's favorite vamp. What, you don't even have the decency to bring hooch?"
"When using your men, my alcohol supply isn't my first concern," Typhon shot back before Dolos interrupted.
"Really? Usually when men are-"
Typhon tilted his head and a small red light appeared in his palm. Suddenly Dolos's sentence was replaced by a laugh.
"Oh, Typhon. Crawling back are you? Send the little ones out. I don't want to watch my words. Have fun, little dewdropper, Hell will eat you alive." Dolos gestured for Dante and Nedrigo to leave, Typhon scribbled something on a paper he'd snatched from Dolos's desk and handed it to Dante.
"I'll tell them you're coming." The paper had an address and a symbol scrawled across it. "Have my driver take you back."
Seriously Typhon you say you're not single but we haven't seen your girlfriend
Typhon:
"When I came back to life, did you see her follow me? No. We are physically separated at the moment and at this time, I can't exactly go find her. Yes, I have a girlfriend. You'll most likely see her eventually. Hold onto your horses, you're in for a wild ride."
"Of course it is funny to call him gay, but when you get down to it, no. Typhon, by law, is not allowed to be gay. He's one of the very few people who isn't allowed to, and he is happy with that. He gets hit on by men all the time and if he were gay, he'd do something other than ignore them. While Typhon supports gay people, he's not one himself."
Ooc: I am working it on. At the moment I have a second project going on involving Dante so writing has been a bit slow. I'm sorry to everyone reading, I am doing my best. Happy reading
"I do! A bit odd though. I have a tail, which is new. Same thing with my horns. Typhon laughs when he sees I ripped a shirt. He had to teach me to get one on without damage. Overall, its nice. I am now able to hit Typhon with my hands full, it is a new weapon."
