First Hour Of That Experiment Is Over now and the results are in... attaching hashtags that revolve around wealth don't exactly result in more engagement... maybe it does really come down to the quality of the content you post... either that or I'm posting at the wrong times and targeting the wrong demographic. I'll dive deeper into instagram metrics tomorrow sometime to try and get a better feel for how to organically grow this page. I think this can be a fun little project. (at Buffalo, New York)

Boring post for tonight but I want to experiment with hashtags a bit. My hypothesis is that if I tag things like "car" and "luxury" then this post will receive more engagement that if I tagged it using things like "hardwork" " effort" etc... that's because people are more focused on the rewards than the tasks... more focused on the events than process... hardwork is a process... effort is a process... but people want to believe in the illusion of effortless wealth... that only happens if you're born into the lucky sperm club, but even then, you're only living off of the rewards of your ancestors' hard work and effort. Effort is underrated. All this buzz about bitcoin lately has me thinkin'... the price is increasing by the second which is luring all these people who literally think that bitcoin is a "company like snapchat"... that is a fundamental flaw and massive misunderstanding of what bitcoin and other distributed ledgers are and what their true value proposition is. Therefore I think there will be a dramatic price correction for bitcoin. . . While we're on the topic, companies and exchanges like coinbase are poised to profit the most from the surge of dumb money. Coinbase is selling picks amd shovels. . . During the California goldrush, people from all over quit their jobs and rushed out west to hit it big... they didn't find gold as the vast majority of them were too late... but the guys who sold them picks and shovels made a killing. The shovel salesman focuses on the Need of the consumer and/or operational utility of the shovel whereas the gold rushers focused on their greed and ambition only to buy into a false illusion of "get rich quick". No doubt people are getting rich from bitcoin, but those are the people who fell in love with the idea of an open and distributed ledger who bought back in 2011 to 2016. The people who are just now taking notice (consumers), sure, they may see an uptick in their holdings, but when all the early adopters take their profits and sit on cash, the consumers will see a drop and won't know when to get out and they'll go bust because they are investing based off of zeitgeist and not their own intellectual expertise. . . #bitcoin #cryptocurrencies (at Buffalo, New York)

NEVER BE SATISFIED. . . . In 9th grade I had a football coach who would constantly say this. It stuck with me, not only because he was the best football coach I had but because it can be applied to so many things. Never be satisfied with how much money you have saved up - always work for more; never be satisfied with how much you've learned or progressed - keep learning; never be satisfied with the depth of your personal relationships - there's always another bridge you can build with someone, always another little something you can do to make her feel special. I understand that to some, this may come off as insane because some of you may be comfortable with where you're at in Life, that's good, I'm happy for you, but the world still needs people with a chip on their shoulder, it still needs people who have lived the shit that are willing to do whatever it takes to get above it... and truthfully, I think if your childhood or upbringing was comfortable, you're definitely more likely to settle into a comfortable life. . . For instance, Sammy Glick, the infamous lead character in Budd Schulberg's book, "What Makes Sammy Run?" Was born into an uncomfortable existence. Had he not been born into abject poverty but grew up on the upper east side he would have never developed the grit, the tenacity, the extreme work ethic required to achieve such accomplishments as he did. Sammy developed a hatred and disgust for his circumstances that drove him, internally, to out work everyone. . . . . As an aside, coach P was the best coach because he focused on developing skills, espoused beliefs on mental toughness, and assigned roster places based on merit alone - not favoritism. All other football coaches were petty bastards that didn't know anything about leadership. Novak Djokovic has a truly remarkable life story. Born in Belgrade in 1987, he grew up sleeping in bomb shelters as the Yugoslav wars that raged on from 1991 through 2001 destroyed every thing around him. Early on in his childhood, he experienced the extreme disasters that war brought to a nations people... no schooling, no firm economic structure, rapid uptick in crime... just a complete shitshow... and let's not forget the genocide too. Through all of this, Novak's mother and father struggled to bring stability to their household and provide for their children in the way they so wanted to. When it came time for Novak to compete overseas in America, his father risked his life to take out a loan from ruthless loan sharks who threatened to kidnap and kill him. At one time, his father was chased through the streets of Belgrade by car and narrowly escaped punishment for missing a loan payment. Throughout all of the struggles in his Life, Novak doesn't seem to Harbor any resentment and, in fact, appreciates all of his experiences growing up. He believes they made him a stronger, more resilient man. Hearing his story, told by him the other day on a podcast made me tear up. At the end of the podcast, Lewis Howes asked him, what 3 things do you want to share and he said "live freely, breathe deeply, and love fully". (at Buffalo, New York)

Time will tell. I was up till 3:45am reading last night... good books will do that to you. With an incredibly deceptive title like "The Millionaire Fastlane" I was expecting a bunch of bullshit, but since the book was highly recommended by Lewis howes, I gave it a chance. Despite the gimmicky and get-rich-quick-schemey title, this book is a real eye opener. I wish I could share with you what MJ DeMarco had to day about time and money because it's very insightful. I'll try to update this post later with an excerpt when I get home. (at Buffalo, New York)

Each day I get more and more hyped on this project. Mgk and XA have been favorites of mine for a long time and to see them now collaborating on a project involving one of my favorite actors and an amazing director/writer in David Ayer is true magic. Love all of this!
