Ellouisa always prided herself on being able to keep her club as scandal-less as possible before its closing time — and after, just for safety measures. With the right attitude, right warnings on every corner of the club, and right employees, the chances of encountering nasty situations in her club was two out of ten every week. It was a blessing to have patrons who were more than willing to school newcomers on what and what was not allowed in the club, but instances wherein patrons were scarce and newcomers were abundant simply cannot be avoided.
Just her luck — sarcasm noted — the night seemed like one of those nights, and Ellouisa sighed in exasperation as she watched a man approach a clearly inebriated lady. He’d been bothering said woman for a few minutes now and, really, she’d sent one of her staff to give him a warning, even letting her bouncer tag along for added intimidation, but it seemed like whatever liquor he consumed was keeping him from thinking like a decent human being.
With an indignant huff, she dropped the notepad held in her hand and marched towards the corner of the club, one which was near the hallway leading to the restrooms. The thing about being small was that people oftentimes miss your arrival until you actually let your presence known by being a little too forceful about it — and that, Ellouisa did.
“Excuse me, sir,” she interrupted as she inserted herself between the strangers, one hand firmly planted on her hips, the other moving behind to hold onto the woman’s wrist, and eyes narrowed at the man’s reddened face. “I don’t know if you’re not capable of understanding the English language or you’re just simply that much of a dumbass not to understand what no means, but you really need to leave my girl alone—” she paused for a while — just a really short while — and hoped that she wasn’t committing any sort of crime by adding such possessiveness in the way she’d addressed the girl. Then again, it was up to the man to assume whether or not it was in a romantic context. “People who are two or three or whatever decades younger than you are a lot more capable of understanding what that particular word means — you should be ashamed. And—!” She raised a hand, finger defiantly pressing against the man’s chest. “Before you start blabbering shit, I am the owner of the club—” she simply felt the need to add that for her own safety. “—and I have every right to kick you out of my club, so that’s exactly what I’m doing. Ciao.”
Another huff, and then she was heading to the other side of the room where some booths were unoccupied. She sat the woman down on the cushioned seat, only letting go of her hand once she was sure that the dumbass was out of the club, courtesy of her ever so reliable bouncer. Turning to the woman, she sighed softly and clasped her hands behind the small of her back, the adrenaline rush from the previous confrontation now fading and replaced by concern and a tad bit of bashfulness. “Are you okay? Would you like some water? Uh — you know, I think it’s best if you take some time to sober up a little bit before leaving… anyway, the man’s gone for good. I’ll make sure that someone’s going to watch over you outside while catching a cab or… entering your car,” she coughed to clear her throat. “Or something.”
As someone who had always been able to handle her alcohol, or at least trained herself too, Kelsey found herself in a happy state of inebriation. She had lost her friends but with good music and a large crowd, the brunette had started to make new ones. They were all dancing as Kelsey broke away, heat blowing up in her head as the alcohol, music and stuffiness combined to make her body scream LEAVE. Listening to what her head was saying, she grabbed her things as someone behind her grabbed something they weren’t meant to. “Yo, buddy keep your hands to yourself—” Wobbling herself around to look at the persistent, tall man she crossed her arms and stomped on top of his foot. It seemed to only encourage him though and before she knew it, Kelsey was half a second from pushing him to the ground and twisting his arm almost to breaking point.
Sucking in a preparatory breath, the brunette cracked her neck and then was interrupted by a shorter woman. Coming to her defence, Kelsey calmed down and crossed her arms again as the older male seemed shocked. Waving him goodbye with a small smile, Kelsey wasn’t completely listening when the woman asked her a question. “Huh?” She responded, watching to make sure he was gone completely. “Oh, no it’s fine—” Kelsey was just hot, too warm. “I just need some fresh air. That’s where I was going before he put those sausages all over my ass...” She grumbled, “Thanks though, for saving my ass. I hate people that don’t take the hint. You also saved me from possibly breaking his arm, which is good for everyone.”
