what do you like the most about your CL Reflection?

I like a lot of the parts of Content Learning reflection. I really liked how this helped me reflect on what we have covered over the course. Sometimes it is hard to fully comprehend how much you have learned during a semester, so doing this reflection has helped me tangibly put into words what I have learned.

The CL reflection was a great tool to look back and see all the things we learned. It helped me identify my strengths, and also the places where I need improvement.

what are you most proud of with your writing process?

I am not sure if there is one specific thing about my writing process that I am most proud of, but I am proud of how it has developed this semester. I feel that I have seen significant growth during this class. I have given more thought about my audience, how their knowledge will develop from my content, and how I can improve on those. I also feel that improving and thinking about new things, it has strengthened my process. My brainstorming, research, writing, and revision have all seen great improvements.

I also have noticed significant growth in my writing skills after taking this class. It made me more aware of making sure that whatever I am writing should have a purpose. Once the purpose is identified, it is easy to identify the audience and strategies that should be incorporated.

Original Content Writing #3 - Week 15

What are you most proud of with your writing process?

I don't even know what my writing process is to begin with. Also, I don't remember how I write until I start actually doing it. So in conclusion, my most proud part of the writing process is the fact that I've gotten this far in life while winging it.

This is too real. I felt this on a whole different level. I learned that my writing process is a little frantic, but I always end up making a point.

what are you most proud of with your writing process?

I am most proud of my design project. I think my writing skills improved as the course continued throughout the semester. Once I was accustomed to what was expected, the writing became easier as well.

what do you like most about your learning? 

I like most about learning new concepts and ideas that I had not learned before. The vocabulary terms used within this course like discourse community, and information architecture are terms I had not heard before. I liked learning what they mean and being able to apply them to our different projects.

what do you like the most about your CL Reflection?

I enjoy that the CL reflection invites us to reflect on our past work and analyze what we completed this semester. This is vital for future situations where we are applying for jobs and may need to connect what we know with things we learned in college. The reflection will help us deepen our knowledge of the pieces by recognizing the strengths and weaknesses within them.

what questions do you have about web writing that will help you after you finish this course? 

How can I use hashtags and keywords to improve my website's visibility? Do you think design and writing go hand and hand with each other, especially in web writing? Is it important to have elements of design within our web writing for future careers? @npfannen

This is my cancellation post. Does it sound like we are sad that we are canceling the show, Let's all come together at this time of sadness to share some of our favorite moments from the show? or does it sound cheesy in a way that I should rewrite it?

share an example of your favorite television show or movie - how does that show/movie help you work through this project and understand angry fandom?

One of my favorite shows ever is FRIENDS. That show has 10 seasons and continuously flows throughout the lives of the six main characters. If they had just canceled that show right after Ross and Rachel started dating or many of the other big plots, then I would have been upset to see what their "endgame" is. I like how the show all left the characters with their individual happy endings. If it did not end like that, I would simply be heartbroken over the fact that I do not know what happens to them.

share an example of your experience as a fan of a show that was cancelled. help us feel the feels

When I was in high school, I started a show called "Spinning Out." It is about a figure skater struggling with her bipolar disorder, and it was canceled after one season!! The show ends on a cliffhanger and when they announced that they were not renewing for the season, I was devastated. They could not have ended on a worse note. I cannot remember exactly what the ending episode was about but I DO know it was a cliffhanger and something that definitely needed a part two. to this day, I am not sure why it was cancelled but it was a good watch until it was only just one season.

what assignment questions do you have that will help you complete and revise successfully?

write a style rule for creating a TikTok video, how does this help attract followers? 

TikTok videos should be short and to the point. They do have a 10-minute video option but in reality who is actually viewing 10-minute videos on TikTok. Videos should stick to the typical genre you are writing for because this will stimulate the audience to want to come back and view more videos. TikTok also typically has trending sounds and hashtags that content creators use to ensure their content is engaging people.

explain the appeal of long youtube videos (10+ minutes), why do viewers watch? How do the creators make choices to engage the audience?

I used to love watching YouTube when I was younger. I think what keeps people engaged is the user themself. Obviously, people go back because they like the content, but it is truly the person's personality that connects the audience to the content they are viewing. The longer video also eliminates the need to make two parts and lets the audience watch the whole thing without having to go to another one.

write  a style rule for writing a short tumblr post - based on what you know so far, what is a key rule for getting notices? 

When writing on Tumblr, it is vital to include maybe a gif or picture to capture the audience's attention. Once the post is created, it is also important to include hashtags and any usernames that will draw people in if you are trying to reach a certain audience.

This is the first page of my "How To Write Guide," I am going to continue to use this color palette and background for my next couple of pages which will feature the tips I offer to the content creators.

how did content creation go for you? What did you learn that will help you write about your tips & tricks?

Content creation is hard! I respect those who do it because you have to stay committed to finishing the video. I noticed that I would start a video and make an introduction. But then halfway through my makeup routine, I realized I forgot to hit record again and you can not continue a video with so many steps already completed. It is also hard to figure out, what you want to talk about within the video while you are getting ready.
