When reflecting upon my writing process and many of the materials and resources we've discussed throughout this course, I am most proud of my updated revision process. Before enrolling in this class, I believed that the revision process was one final read through and check of your essay. However, I realize now that it is much more extensive. The feedback element is also much larger than I previously thought. When asking for feedback on an essay, it is essential to first provide readers with a strong essay, then give readers clear and direct questions on specific elements you would like critiqued and looked over. Then, once readers have provided some feedback, the writer may sort through it and add things in to strengthen their essay. Revising is also much deeper than just grammar and spell checks. It entails the overall flow of your essay, the tone set for the audience, an audience analysis, multimodal elements, and much more. All these things together help to improve a writers revision and writing process.
