Dua Wenut! ☥🌙🐇✨🌿
A cozy, early morning devotional doodle while offering green tea. One of my main deities, although I especially associate her with this time of year. 💜
Hail Anpu, great gatekeeper of the Duat.
Beautiful dog-faced god, indiscriminate judge to all.
He who dwells in the middle sky,
And rules over the western mountains.
DUA SUTEKH!!!
When the moon was fire and blood and the air was pungent and still and we waited for the storm.

Carved talisman of Anubis and Hecate
Egyptian board game of hounds and jackals
The board features 58 holes along its edge, used for placing game pieces (either hounds or jackals). Some of these holes have hieroglyphs next to them, such as 𓄤 nfr - good and 𓍶 šn - protection, with the latter being the goal and lines connecting them. It is thought that the game would be played like Chutes and Ladders today, with two players moving their pieces according to the rolled number to reach the end.
Found in Thebes during the Carnarvon/Carter excavations in 1910
Dated to the Middle Kingdom (12th dynasty, ca. 1814–1805 BCE)

Disabled people are more likely to be poor than able-bodied people for obvious reasons, such as being unable to work, and marginalized people being more likely to be disabled due to systemic discrimination like environmental racism and colonialism (something a lot of white Western disabled people don't like acknowledging, I've noticed), but one day, people are going to have to grapple with how since anyone can be disabled, there is a loud minority of privileged disabled whites who will argue that having twelve lanes of car traffic is disability rights bc all disabled people drive cars (nevermind that disabled people are less likely to be able to drive or have money for cars, or considering who is going to end up living next to that traffic and breathing all that car exhaust) and that capitalism is better for disabled people bc of this red scare fantasy that the revolution means burning down hospitals and medicine factories for no reason and shooting any survivors bc they can't work - what do you mean, from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs??
