Twitter account is back online

Hello, folks. The TWITTER ACCOUNT which I had opened about ten days ago and had been shut down (due to Pixiv’s auto-post feature being suspiciously bot-like, I assume) shortly thereafter is once again up and running, if you care to take a look at it.

Due to the protracted lockdown it’s not yet entirely updated content-wise, but I’ll bring it up to speed over the next couple days.

Hello again.

Given the nature of our current situation, I figured I owe it to my few active followers to reward their loyalty by not leaving anyone out in the cold on this latest request binge. Especially as there was just one single request left out of the original five-spot arrangement!

I honestly know absolutely nothing about this character aside from the fact that she’s sort of the proto-Lalonde, so here’s a quick pin-up I whipped up after a trip to the Earthbound wiki and a cursory Google image search.

Okay, so.

As most of you should know by now, Tumblr is nuking all visual NSFW content on December 17th. Its algorithms have already flagged most of my posts, which means they will likely be deleted entirely after that date. I will upload a couple more posts in the meantime, but past that point this blog will be officially defunct.

This is obviously a blow, though in no way as hard as what users losing tens of thousands of followers and a direct source of income are going to endure. My own personal use of this platform was always pretty limited: I never used Tumblr to make friends, post memes, or vent about my many neuroses. I pretty much never reblogged anything. This space was just a public sketchbook with an appealingly simple posting mechanic, and the convenient option to receive asks in complete anonymity.

If you care to keep following my sparse updates, I have gradually been uploading a selection of my accumulated portfolio (both SFW and NSFW) to a PIXIV PAGE, despite the platform’s posting interface and tagging system being a giant kick in the groin.

I had also opened a Twitter account set up to automatically bounce all my Pixiv posts, but it was shut down after a bare 48 hours of activity, so fuck ‘em. Sorry, folks. I’ll reconsider and give it a second try if enough of you ask for it (which is unlikely, given the audience participation I get on average), but for the time being it’s not a priority.

As far as other platforms go, like many others I’ll be keeping a hopeful eye on Pillowfort as the situation develops. Given my increasing lack of options I will also give Patreon some more thought, but I honestly don’t think that’s a viable model for someone with such an inconsistent posting schedule.

It’s been fun, you guys. Thanks a bunch for liking my stuff.

Long-time followers may also recognise this as yet another brief stop in my never-ending journey in search of a way to render Rose’s hairstyle that doesn’t make me want to punch myself.

[Uncle Kenji’s OCD Request Fill-athon - Post 1 of 5]

So, I recently passed 500 followers (raking in those big numbers) and it just occurred to me that December 5 will mark this blog’s 5th anniversary.

In that spirit, I’ve decided to make OCD my bitch. I will accordingly take 5 follower requests, which I will fill and post at 5-day intervals starting with this one today.

Now I’m not necessarily expecting asks to come pouring in, but if you want to give it a go and make my life a little easier as you do it, please submit your request with your actual account. This way I’ll be able to avoid filling five requests from the same person, and when the time comes to post the result I will just edit the screenshot (as I did in this case) so that it looks anonymous anyway.

So I just found out that some people (greedy people, that is) just expect to have a birthday every single year, like it’s nobody’s business. Among those people, apparently, stands my good pal over at @aspaceformyheart, who will never live down this appalling outburst of entitlement.

Unfortunately, due to a quite stunning number of unforeseen circumstances, I wasn’t quite able to produce something specific for the occasion (or any other occasion, for that matter), so he and you alike will have to wait a few days longer for that. In the meantime, have a quick warm-up sketch to pass the time.

A completely reimagined and upgraded version of my original Roboradia design, less cluttered and more futuristic. In this version, the upper and lower body are disconnected as Aradia’s psychic ghost is supposed to move them around telekinetically anyway.

Side-note regarding Aradia’s boobs. It’s always sort of been my head-canon that she was the tallest and most physically developed of the Beta troll girls, since it’s stated in the comic that rustbloods have very limited lifespans. It’s my assumption that they have to reach maturity fairly early, especially if they’re expected to spend most of their brief lives providing manual labour in farms and whatnot. I tend to draw Feferi as the smallest and most childish-looking of the bunch for the same reason, because of the fuchsia royals’ incredible lifespan and because I enjoy the idea of everyone else having to defer to this tiny child empress.

I also enjoy the idea that Equius is obsessed with udders and milk, and that my head-canon Aradia’s bust size played a STRONG role in his infatuation towards her.

This was to be one of four commissions originally meant to accompany a piece of smut fanfic by Kakomo. It wasn’t a good moment for me (is it ever?) and the whole thing got derailed pretty hard.
