OMG HEHVHSHVJSIJF I just feel like what Wesker feels about Chris can’t be labeled (despite him saying he despises Chris) because there are so many instances that he contradicts himself. Especially that scene where he holds Chris at gunpoint but he doesn’t even have his finger on the trigger. Also, Sheva was the only one in his line of sight in the ending but his last word was still Chris’ name?? Not to mention him saying their fates ‘are forever intertwined’ in TUC. I think in some truly messed up, twisted, fucked way, Wesker does care oh some level in his own way (obviously not in the traditional sense because Wesker is Wesker but I don’t know how else to word it.)

This part is where I get more into conspiracy territory/where I’m most likely reaching but I also think Wesker may (key word may) have wanted Chris to join him, actually. He deliberately goes out of his way in RE1 to make sure Chris stays alive, he’s unnaturally obsessed with always keeping track of where Chris is and what he’s doing, and in the ending of re5, he only starts going after the helicopter with Uroboros once Chris is in there. I just woke up so this yap isn’t as long as it could be BUT that’s sort of the gist of what I feel.
