“I haven’t recruited a single prospect.” At first, Jon thought the recruiter was joking. Then he realized he wasn't. No sales pitch.... https://kentwayne.com/2026/08/10/i-havent-recruited-a-single-prospect/
On my creative process… I love writing for a lot of reasons, but one of them is the ability to do it without figuring everything out beforehand.... https://kentwayne.com/2026/08/09/on-my-creative-process-23/
“I haven’t recruited a single one.” Jon expected a sales pitch. Instead, he got a warning. The recruiter sitting across from him isn't trying to convince him to join. He's trying to convince him not to. And somehow... that's even more unsettling. 📖 The Unbound Realm — Chapter 1 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/yPNEwmNgoGk https://kentwayne.com/2026/08/08/i-havent-recruited-a-single-one/
“That’s your recruiting pitch?” Most recruiters try to convince you. Chris Atriya is trying to convince Jon to walk away. The strange part? Jon can't stop listening. 📖 The Unbound Realm – Chapter 1 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/s0EB0v6Daj0 https://kentwayne.com/2026/08/07/thats-your-recruiting-pitch/
A Quest into Mystery – The Unbound Realm Book 3 (Ebook) The final chapter of The Unbound Realm — where every path converges, every truth is tested, and the cost of the journey is finally revealed. Includes: • EPUB edition • PDF edition • Reading guide... https://kentwayne.com/product/a-quest-into-mystery-the-unbound-realm-book-3-ebook/
A zany and profane ad for my upcoming paperbacks for the Unbound Realm, soon available directly for purchase from King’s Entertainment “Look at this nerd!” A gym-bro, predictably named Tanner, shoves me while I’m walking toward the squat rack....
I expected advice. A sales pitch. A reason to sign up. Instead, he listened. Really listened. And after everything I told him... After all the questions... He looked me straight in the eye and said: "Then don't." I wasn't expecting that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXOkUThaNJk https://kentwayne.com/2026/08/05/i-expected-advice/
Musings Arguably, true abundance might be contentment--everything as is, without justification, categorization, or rationalization. Being in the present, in other words, and feeling the default wellbeing that comes with that state. On the other end of the spectrum, plenty of folks have had a glut of resources and time, and lived most of their lives in soul-grating shortage. Don't get me wrong, I love having money and time, but I think in terms of true abundance, they don't quite check all the necessary boxes.... https://kentwayne.com/2026/08/04/musings-1831/
“Looking for what?” It should have been a simple question. But the way he asked it made me stop.... https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7Z-l9xJirzE https://kentwayne.com/2026/08/03/looking-for-what/
On my creative process… I have faith in the abundance of creativity; there's always ideas out there, and even if they don't realize in the exact fashion I desired or envisioned, I will benefit from working with them and fleshing them out....
I expected a recruiter. Instead, I met Chris Atriya. There was something different about him. Not his uniform. Not his rank. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hbMr6Laaeek https://kentwayne.com/2026/08/01/i-expected-a-recruiter/
I came looking for answers. Instead, I found someone watching me. Not a recruiter chasing a quota. Not someone trying to sell me a future. Just a stranger standing quietly in a hallway. And somehow... I couldn't stop looking back. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/MKxZOeto7uE #booktok #fantasybooks #unboundrealm #kentwayne #fantasyreader #storytelling #bookreels #cinematic #fantasy #characterreveal

I thought maybe purpose was waiting behind one of those doors. Army. Air Force. Navy. The promises were different, but they all felt strangely familiar. Like I was searching for something I couldn't quite name. And whatever it was... I hadn't found it yet. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/as-nFOlae2k

Everyone else seemed to know where they belonged. I wasn't so sure. Sometimes I felt like an alien pretending to be human. And every once in a while... someone would understand exactly what I meant. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XSOd_jVjjtI
On my creative process… I believe we're creative by default, and that our free will lies in where we focus--on whether or not we use creativity to evoke an atmosphere of inevitability, perpetuity, hopelessness, etc. etc. Or we can focus on an influx of energy and possibility, of self-expression and inspiration.
