So, I had this dream that we found a lost version of a popular Mozart song where one note was different. It turned into this large controversy. Some wanted us to play the note, some were scared of the note. Some people were actually saying "I read the way the note sounded and it music shouldn't be played that way." And "There was a reason he changed the note before releasing the song." And others were like "Well, let's just see. You know? Maybe it'll sound better." 

It's turned into this huge us vs them battle. Some for playing the new note, some against. I was, not that it really matters, for playing the note. And in the middle of an argument with someone, the person said to me "of course you're for the note. You're a democrat."

And I realized, mid-dream, what in the fuck is actually wrong with politics. 

We're all over here fighting about a song neither of us has heard. We all have ALL these opinions about shit that doesn't actually effect us. And the possibility of something we may never even experience. When real shit is happening right next to us and we turn our head and yell about fucking 3rd trimester abortion like it’s the most important thing.
