In real life, hacking gear is very mundane. In the post-scarcity future of LANCER, however, I see no reason why incredibly cool custom rigs should not be available - especially to mech pilots such as Torvrak, already modified to be able to interface with machines.

However, I don’t believe that things would have changed such that hackers wouldn’t be doing it in their underwear.

I lost my favourite tote bag in Aldi - it was a bright turquoise little bag that I'd picked up at a conference in my early twenties, I'd used it heavily and it was still going strong, and I took the big shopping bags to Aldi in it, took them out to pack, and then left the blue bag on the floor. Whoops. Realised on the bus and had to give myself a stern talking to that it was not worth exhausting myself to go back for.

Anyway I also hate all the other tote bags we have, at least for everyday use - they're all the wrong size or their handles are wrong, because the only right thing is the thing I've been using for years. So I made myself a new one, the way I like it.

Last year I got a nice t-shirt in a charity shop for dirt cheap that was the perfect fit and a great colour, and paired wonderfully with my wedding skirt. I wore it to work a lot.

Anyway, one day I wore it (and the skirt!) to work and this happened to it:

Printer inkcident! My skirt was also affected, but as it was a dark colour and a woven the stain lifted out of it so easily. The t-shirt, however, was another matter. I did try. Briefly. Photo taken mid-attempt.

Then I went. Okay this is an art project now. And gave up.

So I tie-dyed it.

The ink is still visible and does not blend in perfectly with the tie-dye, which means there's only one solution: do it again lol.

But that's a project for later.

If I was a musician my current schtick would be pop of the sort that's usually about the narrator's trials and travails of love, but it's actually about the narrator's weird/stupid/amazing coworkers.

Angsty breakup song? No. Angsty quitting-my-job song. Heady first love? No. Admiring the person training you. Romantic betrayal? No. Shitty gaslighty manager.

The worldbuilding for this series of pics is completely incoherent. Anyway, here’s Esaci and Ortica (who, it should be noted, is also trans, insomuch as she chose her own gender.)

Esaci is giving a speech, which means that Ortica is using the mic. It’s important to me that Esaci’s voice matters, as broken and strange as it is; they are after all the Voice of the Earth.

Decided to give Esaci a break from being the speaker, ended up with Esca Kathonios, quickly realised that the Anglerfish - in canon a combo biotech research consortium full of mad scientists, union, gang, and charity - Will be offering free top, bottom, and vers surgery, ended up here.

For a one-shot character, Matĕj gets a lot of post-game love. Anyway, this time they're in a dress. And unlike some people they WERE prepared for the rain they just hate wearing the stupid plastic rain cape hood.
