Usually, Tom wouldn’t ever be the one to initiate conversation with someone in public, whether or not he knew them. He wasn’t good at talking to people. But today, when the normally cozy coffee shop was about three times as full as it normally was and seating was exceptionally limited, he gathered up enough courage to pipe up to the person standing a few feet away. “Hey - um, you can sit here. If you want.” He nodded towards the empty seat across from his at his table. “I’m, uh - I’m almost done, anyways, I won’t be in your hair too long.”
Ketevan turned when she heard someone address her. “Oh, thanks,” she replied with a small smile, before walking over to to take a seat opposite the man. “This place is a lot more crowded than I thought,” Keti remarked. “Or maybe it’s just bad timing.”
