the amount of time it took for me to realize i’m allowed to live a small life just for me and to love and care for my friends and family etc. but also just like. live my own life FOR ME and feel good about it because i am enjoying it regardless of how ‘successful’ or ‘accomplished’ i become was honestly worth the result….i recommend wasting less time than i did if at all possible because enjoying life and feeling good about yourself is a helluva drug !!

to clarify this is also like. not to say i don’t think i’m fucking amazing and super intelligent and mega talented and COULD achieve basically anything i really desperately wanted to but rather that i also can be satisfied just knowing that is the case, and using that knowledge to delight in things i choose and enjoy, as opposed to beating myself up and down trying to deliver some unknowable Thing of value to the world at large
