everytime i voice out or tell myself why im mad or why im upset, it turns into series of comments of "what if im overreacting" "what if im being too sensitive" "what if im being too selfish and just think of myself" "what if im being inconsiderate"

i gaslight myself. i learnt to gaslight myself. and it fucking stayed in me. and i dont know where i got. i dont know who/what made me think like that. i hate it.

anyway, anyone feel me? we dont deserve this. we dont deserve to be misunderstood by our very own self.

don’t do anything for social media. don’t let it affect your media consumption too much. or how you spend your time. or how you see yourself. don’t watch a tv show you won’t enjoy just to post about it, don’t buy a pair of jeans you don’t really like because it’s a trend, don’t become a spokesperson for ideologies you haven’t truly read and thought about first yourself. operate as though you don’t have a social media whenever you’re not using social media. this is what stops it from seeping over the borders of the time you give it into the rest of your life. let your real life influence what you choose to do with your time more.

Today, the African American community lost a great man, Michael K. Williams. Michael struggled with substance abuse and addiction most of his life, like many vulnerable Black people in this country. He spoke openly about this during his life growing up in NYC. Please consider donating to fundraisers and campaigns supporting Black people dealing with substance abuse. We don’t deserve to be alone in this struggle, and neither did Michael.

You can also consider donating to VOCAL-NY, which is a grassroots organization in New York that directly supports poor Black people, people with HIV/AIDS, those dealing with substance abuse & addiction, the incarcerated, and people dealing with homelessness.
