i have learnt the few extra basics of using keybinds and to use of snips to poly models
i have managed to make a chair and duplicate each one and tried to add some detail by using the object mode

i have learned a lot on maya for the past few weeks, i am still a newbie and unexperienced with technology!
i can now view around using orthographic and perceptive perfectly
i know how to use poly modeling and sculpting
i even learned myself how to use construction aids such as free image plane etc
throughout all these sessions i finally know how to use the channel box correctly and match each model

Ryan's outer world:
the target audience will be people similar with kimani tariq kamiru-white
genre: RPG first person shooter
Platform: Destroyed earth because of ryan
mood board: Photoshop
storyboard: Once a upon a time a person called ryan took over the world and still some survivors out here to survive
The games i would love to play are FPS(First person shooter), TPS(Third person shooter) and action roleplay
I want to brainstorm some ideas which are making First person shooter while in a RPG game
why do I want to make this game?
I have been a fan of shooter for decades and also i come across RPG so I want to combine them togethor for more fun
Challenges i got to face:
Unreal engine i am still new to technology so it would take a very long time to master it to fully use unreal
i can try to make these ideas in to a game if i knew enough
yea
54:39 textures
i always wanted to know how to add textures to specific objects to make it look more realistic looking and extra work done
you have to grab it on google and save it on folders on the This PC then drag it to unreal
Do i feel it will be easy to find resources to help me learn how to create a game?
no it would be much harder because i don't know how to code yet and no experience with gamemaker
Tool Spotlight: Autodesk Maya
What it’s used for: Maya is a powerhouse for 3D modeling, animation, rigging, and rendering. It’s widely used in game development to create characters, environments, and cinematic sequences.
Example in games: Maya was used extensively in Final Fantasy XVI to animate complex characters and environments Autodesk InspirationTuts.
Game that likely used it: Overwatch by Blizzard Entertainment and Final Fantasy XVI by Square Enix both leveraged Maya for animation and asset creation Autodesk.
Why I’d like to use it: Maya’s animation and rigging tools are top-tier. If you’re serious about character animation or cinematic storytelling in games, Maya gives you the control and polish needed to bring your vision to life. The learning curve is steep, but the payoff is huge.
Tool Spotlight: Substance Painter
What it’s used for: Substance Painter is a 3D texturing tool that lets artists paint directly onto models using physically based rendering (PBR). It’s ideal for creating realistic materials and textures.
Example in games: Used in Unreal Engine 5 projects to texture characters and props with smart materials and procedural effects GP 3darchitettura.com.
Game that likely used it: Destiny 2 and The Witcher 3 likely used Substance Painter for their richly detailed environments and gear 3darchitettura.com.
Why I’d like to use it: Substance Painter makes texturing intuitive and powerful. The ability to see real-time feedback and use smart masks for wear and tear is a game-changer. It’s perfect for stylized or hyper-realistic art styles.
Tool Spotlight: SpeedTree
What it’s used for: SpeedTree is used to model and animate vegetation — trees, bushes, grass — with procedural generation and wind simulation. It’s essential for creating lush, dynamic environments.
Example in games: SpeedTree was used in Destiny 2 to generate immersive forests and alien landscapes SpeedTree.
Game that likely used it: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Avatar (game and film) used SpeedTree to create their iconic foliage Wikipedia GameDesigning.org.
Why I’d like to use it: Vegetation can make or break immersion. SpeedTree’s procedural tools save time and deliver stunning results. I’d love to use it for building atmospheric worlds — whether it’s a haunted forest or a vibrant jungle.
Let me know if you’d like these formatted for Tumblr with hashtags and captions, or if you want to add more tools to the series!
