Loud, proud, cripple punk butch dyke. I love my girlfriend, I hate bigots. Mostly cpunk/butch punk posting, but I do dabble in the occasional fandom posting. Yes, I am a communist. Currently on T and it’s the best decision of my life. I love mutuals, and my DMs are always open!!

Review for Stone Butch Blues I posted on Goodreads:
If I could pick a book that held my heart and caressed my soul, to the point that each person that read it would see me for how I am, it would be Stone Butch Blues. Where do I start?
It’s a beautifully harrowing story about a butch in 20th century America. A butch who started male hormones to survive in a world, which would time and time again, try to kill her in the most brutal and violent ways imaginable. The descriptions of sex is both horrifying (when the topic is rape) and ethereal (when the topic is love). The most horrific part is, this fictional story was inspired by elder butches everywhere.
One of the most stunning examples of trans4trans love I have ever seen (reminding me of my beautiful girlfriend and I). Discussing topics of butchfemme, of butch4butch, of the effects of second wave feminism on gender non-conforming women and genderqueers.
This book made me feel like I am beautiful. It made me see myself in the light I see other trans people in. It made me see myself as a lesbian, as a trans man, as a beautiful mosaic of all my experiences in one. It contextualizes why the lesbian and trans communities are the way they are. Our history was robbed from us, and Leslie Feinberg has a way of giving us glimpses of who we are.
For a book so full of homophobia, transphobia, police brutality, rape, and the very real lives queer people faced in history, it has so much hope stitched into every page. I find myself reaching for it whenever I need a reminder of who I want to be, and who I can become.
As someone of many words (dare I say, too many) I find myself at a loss for explaining the worth of this book. The concept of being speechless is both exciting and nerve-wracking (Is there much of a difference?). I could analyze this book for the rest of my life, write pages upon pages of its themes and meanings, list off dozens of quotes and excerpts, and not even display a fraction of the importance of, and my love for, Stone Butch Blues.
"disability isn't a social construct because I'd still be dis-" Hey maybe before you poo-poo the entire foundation of critical disability studies learn the difference between "socially constructed" and "not real". You can't pride yourself on being "pro Disabled" and not have any actual interest in Disabled theory or liberation.
