Hello👋

Please take a moment to read my story.

I am Heba Al-Dahdouh. I currently live in the completely destroyed city of Gaza. Since the war on Gaza began on 7/1/2024, my family- my father Nasif, my mother Asmaa, and my siblings Khaled, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Malak-have been living in constant fear, crying, and suffering due to shrapnel, shells, and bullets.

We have no food, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools, no homes, no cleaning supplies, and no clothes. My school has been bombed, and my brother Khaled's university is now rubble, depriving us all of education. The war has forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents unsuitable for living, especially in winter.

Every day we live death, terror, and panic a thousand times because of the ongoing bombardment of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the start of the war, we sought refuge at my aunt's house, . Imagine: we have survived imminent death more than 20 times and have been displaced among shelters more than 13 times. My siblings and I have suffered from many illnesses due to malnutrition, and we need medication continuously.

I don’t understand why people get angry at Squirrelflight for not telling Brambleclaw the kits weren’t his when ultimately it was LEAFPOOL’S DECISION. And she didn’t want to tell him, for kind of obvious reasons given the fact that she saw him training in cat hell with his father who famously executed half-Clan cats. Sure he went against his father by killing Hawkfrost and saving Firestar but she still didn’t really trust him.

Lying about the kits being his is shitty but so is immediately disowning the children you raised to adults lmao.

the way this person just misunderstood this entire situation. brambleclaw with tigerstar and hawkfrost was a case of mental manipulation and he didn’t OWE squilf the truth, squilf owed him the truth because THEY WERE MATES.

This isn’t a black and white situation — should she of lied about the kits heritage? No, but you also need to consider the social climate she was in at the time.

Not only were they halfclan, they were a medicine cat’s kits. It was still very recent in the clans memory that cats were being executed for being half-clan, not to mention one of the leaders complicit in the executions was still around and in charge. She was friends with Feathertail and Stormfur, two of the cats that almost got executed. Even when the truth was revealed leafpool was still demoted and punishe. What would of happened if they were still kits? I think in that situation lying about the three’s parentage is the much lesser evil versus the potential that the kits could potentially get exiled or worse.

Could she be certain something terrible like that was going to happen? No — but the potential was still there. Also im pretty sure even the three were recognising he was being extraordinarily spiteful about what happened. He’s allowed to be upset but the issue is he was excessively so.
