đđęđľđ ⤠Welcome to the Spilled Ink Library and Iâm your Head Librarian đşđđ˘đđ. As of 2025, I have been writing for 20 years in various fandoms and formats. My stories will center black characters in the fandoms I enjoy with parings I want to see more of. In the past few years I have slacked in my writing and personally dumbed it down so I could crank out ideas faster-never giving the ideas a chance to form and grow organically. This new blog revival is my chance to change things and go back to writing in a way I am proud of and proud to share.Â

đ°đ˛đŞđŞđđŻđś: kori and randy marry. he sees what she is capable of after challenging her.
đ đĽđđđąđ˘đŻ đŤđŹđąđ˘đ°/đ´đđŻđŤđŚđŤđ¤đ°: im not the happiest with this chapter, so I may do a refresh, but I do like what I put in it. this is my first witch character in a while and I plan to play around with her abilities. no chapter warnings for this one. it's rather tame. more of an introduction to a little backstory & a little witch/vamp lore.
They stood shoulder to shoulder. At least they were supposed to. Randy was tall and loomed over her by at least one and a half feet. He was easily 6â5 to her 5â1.Â
Before them was her mother and Randyâs vampire Council. âIs the girl aware that this marriage is only undone by death?âÂ
Kori bit her bottom lip a tad too hard and she felt Randy stiffen beside her. She tasted metallic soon after. His senses were sensitive, heighten, and he could hear the blood pumping through her veins.Â
âShe does.âÂ
Her face wetted. Tears slowly slid down her brown skin as whatever conversation happened between her mother and them.
All of this was against her will. Her coven had betrayed her and her family, casting them out before they could prove their innocence. The other eight families had shunned them. They were on their own and in their world that was a death sentence.Â
She stood there silent as her last act of defiance. She had nothing left once she married Randal. The life she thought she was going to have vanished with each word spoken be the vampiric officiant. Every now and then Randy would speak and his Council would bend and listen. Her mother would spare her a glance but Kori was too hurt to care about the sympathetic expression. A decision had been made for the safety of their coven but her own mother had kept the details a secret. Â
Kori watched as a gold platter was carried into the room. Her skin chilled.Â
"Blood sharing will seal this union."Â
Kori's head flew between her mother and Randy. Both were unphased. This clearly had been discussed in her absence.Â
"Is this necessary?" Kori whispered.Â
"Randy agreed to helping under very strict conditions."Â
"And you negotiated my blood?"Â
"Our innocence replies on your blood, Kori," her mother replied tightly. "I know I have asked you to sacrifice a lot, but you are saving our Coven."Â Â
She felt no elation from the knowledge. As selfish as it was, she was only thinking of what she was losing. Guided over to the table, Marie took and extended her daughter's hand.Â
The officiant was becoming fatigued. "Randy and Kori will use the blade to cut their flesh. They will share their blood by joining hands. The marriage and subsequent agreement will then become established."Â
A sheet of parchment was slid on the table between the two. There was a pen, but she noticed it was inkless.Â
"I've already read it," Marie says. "No need to worry. You are protected."Â
"Of course," Randy says, glancing down at his new soon to be wife. "Listen to your mother."Â
Randy cut his palm first. Dark crimson blood flooded his hand before he clenched it shut. He spun the blade around, presenting it to her handle first. Marie reached for it and he moved it out of the way.Â
"She does it herself." He commands, blue eyes landing on Kori's apprehensive expression.Â
The young witches hand curled around the gold plated handle. The knife was heavy, painted at the tip and dripped with Randy's blood. Kori looked around. She knew there was no escape. She could run but either her mother or Randy would stop her. If she did managed to get out, the other 8 families hunting for them would find her and she'd have no protection.Â
"Any day now,' the Council sneers.Â
Randy shoots them a look.Â
Kori pressed the tip of the blade into her palm. The skin burned as it gave way to the pressure and sharp blade. Her blood ran and dropped to the floor in a river of crimson. Randy grabbed her hand with his cut one. Kori winced as their cuts met, skin rubbing against each other as their blood drips, not joined, into a bowl held out to them.Â
His grip is strong, but not tight. While she expected rough and calloused hands, his were smoothed, blemish free. The myth that vampires were perfect had been a ruse they used to have people join their ranks and willingly turn.Â
Kori barely registered the vows and said 'I do' when asked. The blood they had collected in the bowl was used to fill the pen. The marriage certificate was signed in blood and Kori's stomach churned in response to the unnatural methods. She opened her hand to see a healed palm. Brown eyes sought Randy who was staring at her. When Randy released her hand she cradled it to her chest after pulling a small handkerchief from her dress pocket.Â
"I wish to speak to my wife alone."Â
Randy waited until he could no longer hear their voices in the halls. Kori was rubbing her hands together, eyes on everything but him.Â
"Wife."Â
She winced, hard.Â
"We will consummate in three days."Â
It wasn't a conversation he wanted her mother to hear. The intricate details of their intimate life were off limits.Â
It had been discussed and among his species consummating was just as important as blood sharing. Many thought they were undead creatures of the night, not a sophisticated system of laws and hierarchy. He, in fact, was also still a man.Â
"Why three days,' she replied softly. "Why do you get to pick that?"Â
"Any longer and it will not happen. If it does not happen then part of the agreement is not upheld, which gives me the right to not uphold my end. You know what comes with marriage, Kori." He explains.Â
"Three days is soon." She folded her arms across her chest.Â
He would rather deal with a screaming newborn than tears. "Don't you think about crying." He snaps.Â
If she wasn't angry she was now. "Who are you talking to?"Â
There was the bite. "You."Â
He closed the already small distance between them quickly. He grabbed her hips, pushing her backwards until she was pressed against the furthest wall of the room, lifted a few inches off the floor and held effortlessly in his strong grasp. With no where to put her hands, they landed on his arms and slid to his shoulders. Kori pushed against him, unable to stop him from leaning forward so he could whisper in her ear.Â
"Put me down." Kori's word came out as a hiss between her clenched teeth.Â
"Make me." He dares.Â
He lifted her higher and she dug her nails into his shoulders. Her fingertips grew warm and his shirt began to sizzle. She pressed harder, hoping to touch skin with the heat she radiated into her palms. She wanted to burn him. Her years of studying had prepared her for a moment like this, however, she had hoped the circumstances were different. Kori knew he was goading her.Â
Kori draws her leg back, swinging it forward until her knee bent and slammed into Randy's side. Her body dropped suddenly. Randy caught her with a grunt, pulling her into his chest before she could fall to the floor. His clothes smelled like smoke and his once blue eyes were blacked over. She knew if he opened his mouth, long fangs would have slid down from his gums. Righting herself, Kori pushed back from him.Â
"Three days." He repeated. "You will be brought to my bed in three days, but by then you will want it."Â
"You wish." Kori yelled, his words angering her further. The heat in her palm had bloomed and flames licked the air around her fingertips.Â
Witches were his natural adversary. He'd slain many in his time, but he'd never seen this type of magic before. The curiosity must have shown on his face because Kori straighted her posture.Â
"Not many of us learn elemental magic. It's dangerous unless you are taught Kin magic." She strengthened the flames. "That's only reserved for Sacred Nine's eldest."Â
She left out what she really was and why she knew her family was innocent.Â
Randy walked the length of the room, following her at a distance as she walked around.Â
"You are a Queen here." He says. "Do not abuse your very minimum power."Â It was no threat and Randy was not threatened. "Your magic is not forbidden, but violence will be met in turn with violence."Â
"Is that a threat?" Kori asked.Â
Randy sighed, willing his own irritation to dissipate. His eyes returned to their blue hue and his shoulders relaxed.Â
"This arrangement is not meant to threaten you. It's for you and your coven's protection." He held his hands up then pointed to hers. "Put out the flames, Kori."Â
He knew she could protect herself now and liked cornered prey only made them hotter, the red flames turned white. The temperature in the room warmed and he felt his body begin to sweat. Cursed by the sun, the heat was becoming unbearable. it felt like being in the sun.
"Kori,' he growled. "Put out the heat."Â
It took several minutes but she cooled herself. The high emotions was one thing. It felt good. The come down was harder, draining. She'd never pushed her flames that hot.Â
She was just so angry.Â
When she calmed down she left the room they had gotten married in and followed the sounds and halls back towards the courtyard. There was a car waiting and her mother was standing at the backdoor while her bag was loaded.Â
Kori lifted the skirts of her dress, boots thudding against the graveled driveway.Â
"Where are you going?"Â
Marie could smell the magic on her child. Taking her hands, she brought Kori closer. "It's not safe for us to be in the same place. I'm going to put some distance between us and the Sacred Nine."Â
"I can't,' she says, flustered. "You can't leave me here with him."Â
"You will be fine, Kori." She sighs. "I have to. They are looking for the two of us. Let me protect you this way." She asks. "You have already done so much for us."Â
She allowed herself to cry this time. Shoulder shaking sobs she hid in her mother's embrace. They hadn't had a moment of peace since fleeing the Compound. She had few belongings from her room there. Her friendships were over, many choosing to side against them over fabricated information.Â
"I can come with you." She pleads. "I can help you. We can find out who did this."Â
Marie shakes her head and looked over Kori's shoulder as Randy approached. He seemed to glide across the gravel and stood just a few feet away, watching.Â
"You can't, baby,' Marie replies hopelessly. "This is the safest place for you."Â
She wiped Kori's face of her tears.Â
They both knew tonight had been rushed. Their time together controlled by time they didn't have. Marie hadn't wanted this for Kori, but they cover knew she was the strongest of them and needed to be protected.Â
"Let your mother figure this out."Â
Kori watched her climb into the car, the engine purred to life and moved back out of the courtyard. She watched the tail lights disappear before her shoulders slumped and her body began to slide to the ground. Her head grew light as she realized she was passing out. Overwhelmed with emotions and magic from tonight, Kori gave into her body giving out.Â
He came up behind her, catching her before she landed on her back. Randy hooked his arms under her legs and back, hoisting her up easily. She was still hot to the touch. He carried her inside, down the inner corridors of the mansion. Her room was a few doors from his, close enough he could reach it but she had privacy.Â
He'd let her get the rest she needed. Marie had told them they were on there until for a week, choosing to get her by foot. They arranged the marriage in secret, letters sent by his own couriers. As soon as the arrived in the area he had them shadowed. From the moment they crossed the state line, he was watching them.
Randy was going to hold up his end of the agreement, but he was going to make sure Kori's time here wasn't in vain.
Lord knows I donât support Joe anymore but idk. I feel like destroying your family, ruining 12 years of marriage, potentially breaking your wifeâs trust in men and probably making her question her self-worth and stepping on her self-esteem, giving your son the worst example possible, all of this over your colleagueâs pussy is genuinely worse.
Thatâs your opinion. However what Jey is doing does not affect me. His choices affect his family. So it canât be worse. The actions of that fecal fungus and his supporters affect everyone. Putting cheating over pedophilia (heâs done more obviously) is odd to me but again. Itâs your opinion.
When it comes to morality, it is. Just bc it doesnât concern you doesn't mean itâs not worse. Itâs the same as saying that somehow an abuser of any kind canât be worse than a trump supporter because it doesnât affect you. But itâs a matter of perspective ig, and honestly Iâm not gonna argue over politics here. Also. How come you read what I said and concluded that I think cheating is worse than pedophilia in general like there arenât nuances to this debate?đ I donât expect you to agree with me but donât go around twisting my words
I said they werenât the same. I consider what trump supporters worse than cheating. Iâm comparing cheating and trump supporters. I think trump supports are worse.
Im able to recognize cheating is wrong but morally a trump support is worse. In this particular situation TO ME. Iâm speaking on cheating. No abuse. Because thatâs an entirely different situation.
You said â. I feel like destroying your family, ruining 12 years of marriage, potentially breaking your wifeâs trust in men and probably making her question her self-worth and stepping on her self-esteem, giving your son the worst example possible, all of this over your colleagueâs pussy is genuinely worse.â
That why I said itâs your opinion. I didnât twist your words. Those are your words.
We can discuss nuances. But my original sentence was very specific. And tied to two people based on comments Iâve been seeing.

.đđđđđśđđ âś Kori use to belong to the Sacred 9, a coven of nine families of witches whose blood went back centuries. She was among one of the most powerful families, the Laveaus. When they are accused and convicted of a heinous betrayal, Kori and her family are shunned from the Sacred 9 and cast out on their own. Kori's mother, Marie, secures protection from a coven of vampires and their leader, Randal Orton.Â
Randal, though he prefers Randy, is known country wide for his ruthlessness. He's no nonsense, mean, and very few survive after getting on his bad side. When Marie makes him an offer he agrees, seeing it as beneficial to him. The only caveat is it has to be signed in blood and blood must be shared, because to him, words are meaningless without action.
Kori loathes vampires. Everything about them go against the laws of nature so her marriage to one sends her into a spiral of anger, resentment, and petty witch behaviors. However, upon the consummation of her 'marriage' to Randy, their shared connects leads her to understanding the man beneath the fangs.     Â
When the unexpected happens, the other eight families realize in order for their lie to remain the truth, Kori and her family must die. Randy then realizes his enemy, long sought after, is closer than he thought.Â
