hi! i'm an undergraduate student studying data analytics and sociology, and i'm hoping to do computational social science as my future career!

right now (summer 2026) i'm working under a researcher studying mathematical oncology :)

summer 2026 courses: urban sociology and intro to programming

current GPA: 3.92/4.0

academic goals: keep GPA >3.0 (pref >3.7), turn assignments in 48+ hours before due date

I had a meeting with my supervisor this morning to discuss my program plan. I like her and the department seems like it’ll be a good fit!! I’m gonna do some research ahead of time on the subject of my first course so I can be ready when classes start. :)

love writing scientific notes in the margins of my notes and exercise sheets, such as "oh my god I'm so cooked", "fuck fuck fuck fuck", "?? what the hell???", "pls kill me", "I hate math", "who the fuck invented this shit", and, during an especially ingenious moment, "FUCK!!!" in all caps

holy. freaking. cow. i havent been this busy since middle school (for some reason 7th grade was the literal busiest and worst year school wise, so much stuff to do). i spent like 5 hours working on my research project (including an hour meeting), i had a doctors appointment, studied for like 4 hours (well. 30/10 pomodoros) doing my programming homework. i woke up at 5:40 to start my work stuff and its currently almost 8;40.

i am going to shower and then sleep until 6am, at which point i will continue to study for my programming quiz tomorrow. wish me luck im genuinely in range of failing this course 💀. if i fail i can retake it but ughh that would be a pain. and unfortunately the threshold for passing is an ≥83 for this class, if it was a 70% i'd be fine. hopefully i pass.

4/29/2026: Feeling a bit down as the semester ends. I think, moving away, being alone again -- it's terrifying to me. It always works out in the end, which is what I'm trying to keep in mind. Somedays I feel like I've never aged past 13, and every instance of guilt and loneliness creeps up on me.

the way programming will give you impostor's syndrome no matter how hard you fight against it

you do something four different times in four different ways that for some reason are all returning error but then, when you at last give up, you try running the exact same thing again the next day, just in case, and it works

Also when you do give up, carry on about your day as normal and all of a sudden the solution will come to you at the most random moment... like some sort of revelation while grocery shopping

actually i dont want a mansion and a fancy car. i dont want a high up role for a big company. i dont want a fancy life.

i want to see my friends all the time. i want to grow herbs and use them when im cooking. i want to be able to buy bandaids that are nice and stay on. i want to have some animals that i take care of, who love me dearly. i want a 2 bedroom apartment, clean and warm. i want a small life, quiet and calm.

jul 18 | saturday

pretty productive for a saturday. i spent most of the day chilling, but i managed to get about 2 hours of work and course stuff done. i am running my cells through the code pipeline one of the grad students wrote and im actually getting clear images so far, but i have yet to run the images through the analytical scenarios to see the change. i also spent a solid chunk coding, just practice today. saw bestie <3 and we watching howls moving castle, which is a favorite of mine!

tomorrow is mostly going to be week prep... i have some emails to write, organizing and cleaning to do, and i think if i make everything set up nicely this week should run smoothly, though i will be in the trenches (programming exam next week 😵‍💫). im hoping to add in some book binding and crafting time + continue playing Apico, i want more solitary bee species. i will also be getting ready for the presentation my group will be doing for work (presenting our findings on the cell development) in early august... a busy few weeks but i feel it will fly by.

ill set some goals tomorrow to outline my next few weeks. for now, good night :)

july 16 2026 | thursday

havent posted in a bit on my studyblr due to my workload. ive just been exhausted and any time that i can get to myself ive been trying not to think about work academics and other important stuff! ive also been getting really anxious so i have been working on regulating myself better. i have a lot of things on my plate right now so its just been balancing everything.

i have my computer science exam in 2 weeks, medical procedure immediately after my exam (so excited!! /gen i might feel better!!), then im moving, followed immediately by a research conference im presenting at (all of that is in the span of 1 week btw. its A Lot)! please let me pass my CS class aaaa. i need an 83 but it is a really hard class condensed into 7 weeks instead of 15.

but after all that i have some downtime to prep for STUDY ABROAD !!!!! im so psyched ive never left the usa and its so wild that i get to spend a full semester experiencing new things and augh im just so hyped!!!

god keeps trying to nerf me and give me new problems. he is scared of how many times i've picked myself back up and how I will keep throwing myself at my goals until they've finished no matter what. he thinks a new problem will stop me. foolish man

mmm i like watching different kinds of planning and organizing youtube videos and i enjoy them but god damn the titles can piss me off!!! "why X never works! try Y instead" and in reality its "X didn't work for me, this is what i do instead" ... like timeblocking. just saw a video "why timeblocking doesn't work for ADHD" actually its not the adhd its the personal preference
