Hey your cakes are amazing I really like how well covered they are with perfect sharp edges. I would love to cover my cakes like that one day :) maybe you could share some tips ;) I would be extremely grateful. X
Thank you!! Biggest tip I can give is to watch Jessica Harris' craftsy class clean & simple cake design. It covers everything & changed my caking world forever :) I use ganache instead of buttercream to achieve those razor sharp edges :) thanks for the message! kez* x
Fred the Zebra with his Sidekick Terrance the Meerkat! Last weekend I had the most amazing weekend learning how to make this Zebra Cake!! yes - he is actual cake! Â Margie Carter came over to NZ to teach this class & I was fortunate enough to be able to go! Â It was incredible - I learned so many new techniques, I Â had never worked with modelling chocolate before, Iâve never made a 3D structured cake, never airbrushed or used armature wire! Â Now of course I can say that I have done all those things! :) There are loads of photoâs.... to show all the different angles! can you tell Iâm super proud!?? ;) kez*Â
Rainbow Cake Topper!!

Kailahâs 21st Cake This was my first time making edible sequins & ranunculus! So I was pretty happy at the end to see it all came together! Not without itâs issues!!! Pretty 70th Cake for Raewyn!! This was for my friends mumâs 70th - I just wanted to make something beautiful for her. Â Love a lustre finished cake, so went with that with the royal icing dots & some roses & petuniaâs on top :) kez*Â
Pohutakawa, Fern & Swirls Wedding Cake Love the black swirls on the white fondant with this cake! The pohutakawa flowers are not entirely edible, but considering I didnât think I could actually make them - Iâm stoked with how they turned out! Thanks so much to Pauline Nunnâs & Clare from Clares Cake Design - they both helped guide me with making the flowers! :) YAY!

Scott Pilgram Cake for my husbandâs birthday :) One of my manâs fave movies is Scott Pilgrim vs the World :) I wanted to have so much more on this cake - but it just wasnât working. So we have one of many favourite quotes.... âall our shows are secret showsâ around the sides of the cake there are a few of Scottâs t-shirts! What you canât see photographed is two signs saying... Monster of a 1st Birthday!! This cute as green-crazy eyed-monster was for Royalâs 1st birthday!! He was so much fun to make! Something different for me & I enjoyed every minute! Ombre Beaded Wedding Cake This cake is stunning - and although it looks simple, it took a freaking LONG time to create! I completely underestimated the amount of time those beads would take to create, it was around 15 hours on the beads alone!! But it was SO worth it! one of my most stunning cakes :) I feel proud that I can say that! :) 12âł, 10âł, 8âł & 6âł tiers - 2 x Chocolate 2 x White Chocolate Vanilla  :) kez*
