Birthday
This is actually the first time I am excited and looking forward to my birthday. A simple, no frills celebration. Lunch at Manang's in ADMU, dinner at Balducci, desserts at Bar Dolci. Then, the following day, roadtrip to Tagaytay to eat at our fave Korean restaurant. Yum! The fact that Case is coming home early early in the morning also helps! :) ,,,,,
Cars and Songs
I will deny if anyone asks, but I do miss the thrill of speeding through a highway with a convoy of nice sports cars. The sudden reminiscent was triggered when Angel requested to follow me in Twitter. I recall going to a racetrack and shotgun riding in a modified Honda EG. I don't want to remember who I'm with but the cars and the thrill and the speed, I just miss. The last time I had a run was last November (if I remember correctly) with Case in Taytay. I had a good time but the driving is still different. The driving of someone who went to school versus normal fast driving is very very different. Not to mention, it's quite dangerous if Case drives ala race car driver because he never really had any experience. And of course, I wouldn't want him to get into any trouble and I don't want him to get hurt too. I love him and I worry about him and I'm too scared to lose him. Nonetheless, if someone experienced will drive us round a racetrack, I'd be excited for that. Btw, brother's wedding turned out nicely. Didn't expect him to cry but he did! Boys in our family are such crybabies! LOL. I loved the fact that their wedding singer is Johnoy Danao and the ambient music was acoustic. I loved that the songs chosen were more modern, and the less cheesy type. He played Coldplay, 311, Robbie Williams, etc. Certainly very much like my taste. ,,, Danao
British Taste
It's nice to see Kate Middleton wearing British designers most, if not all, of the time. She is a good ambassador for the British brands and England in general. It's good that she takes advantage of the fact that media always notices her clothes, and with this, she wears British designers almost always. It's good that she helps these designers be up to par with French and Italian designers. I also commend for her style and stylist, making sure that only praises are met when she is seen wearing these British labels. I can only hear good words about her clothes, so that must mean that the styling is up to a tee.
Just Sayin'
I have the most wonderful, amazing, awesomest boyfriend in the whole wide world. Such a sweet, supportive, dedicated young man. Yes there are times when I feel really ignored, but that annoyance couldn't last an entire day even if I wanted to. I've tried to ignore and be irritated by him, but after an hour tops, I have to talk to him already. I just can't stand not talking to him. He's very very sweet in taking care of me. He cooks me my favorite dishes and gives me soup when I'm sick. He treats me every time we go out so I can save mine for personal (and his gifts) uses. He loves me despite me having irrational logic (eh?) at times. He shows his affection when he teases me, even when he knows I hate it and am such a sore loser. He supports me with all my endeavors and encourages me to pursue my hobbies. All these he does for me and I love him very dearly. I am a very lucky girl. I have the best friend and person by my side and I love him. Just sayin'. ,,
Christmas Wishlist 3!
Scarf. I would wish for the LV leopard print scarf in blue. But when I asked the price, the lady assistant blurted out a whopping P71,000. It was so soooooft and so cute and chic I just want that blue leopard print scarf on my own! The fact that it is limited edition also added to the weight. Other than that, a really nice scarf/shawl would do. I gave my boss a Forever 21 scarf that was deep ocean blue with some shimmering multicolor strips. She loved it and I loved it and wanted it too! Secretly I wanted to take it back as a gift to myself. Haha but I would really want a scarf with a striking character that would pop when I wear something simple.

I find it amazing and clever for the Kardashians to be able to reap millions of dollars in the Hollywood business even if without talent. Let's face it, whether we like it or not, it was pretty smart of them to be able to capitalize on nothing. What is even more amazing is that they seem to be staying. Well, maybe they got famous because of a scandal. But they were being smart to use it and make money out of it. Look at Kim; she now does endorsements, appearances, and whatnot that give her her paychecks. I think we should give them some credit too. I mean, any normal person would actually spend money to make a scandal go away. No normal person can sustain a lavish lifestyle out of a scandal. Not even the Hilton heiress remained in the limelight. Just saying.
Holiday Wishlist part 2
Nikkor 50mm, 12-24mm or 18-55mm Lenses. Of course, preferably a 50mm f/1.8 (f/1.4 or f/1.2 if you're being generous) or a 12-24mm f/4 (Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 if you're on a budget). I have been meaning to get one of these so I can take Rosso out more, but I couldn't seem to find the right time for it. Somehow there's always something that I prioritize more than these (i.e. my bag and Case's birthday gift). Somehow, all the other things I buy are more important than these lenses. But how I really wish to get a hold on a 50mm or an UWA. My pictures will be pretty awesome once I have these! 50mm is the perfect lens for portraits, without being too bulky or heavy. UWA lens is for scenic photos. While UWA may be a lot heavier than the kit lens, it is the best though when it comes to landscape photography. The UWA allows you to have a wider reach, making it easy to get those panoramas. Lastly, I would want to replace my super heavy and useless 18-105mm with an 18-55mm. It's very bitin in terms of doing a zoom job and very heavy for a kit lens. Frankly, I've used my D40 a lot more because it was so much easier to carry around compared to the D90. D40's kit lens is also more suitable for me as I already have a 70-300mm telephoto lens. The 18-105mm is heavy (yes, I cannot stress it more) plus the 70-105mm range overlaps. I'd rather miss the 55-70mm range and switch between 18-55mm and 70-300mm lenses when the picture dictates it. Up to this day, I miss having an 18-55mm lens. It may be just a kit, but a very powerful and practical kit at that.
Exotic Shorthair Cat. After how many years of getting used to Medy (Case's Persian), I also want one of my own! I'm quite nervous to have one though, having all the responsibility of grooming and taking care of a cat. And I don't want just any cat; I want a very docile, short-haired, lazy-ass Garfield type of cat. I don't want a playful cat; I just want a companion or a thing I can pet to calm myself. It was very therapeutic when I pet the very mellow Medy. I'd want a dark solid-colored cat, either a black or a blue one. I'd wish for a white one but it's too high of a maintenance. Grey is cute too or something very similar to Medy. Persians are cute with their big round eyes but are a handful to take care of because they tend to mat and have hairballs then vomit. Thus, exotic shorthair cat is the solution! They have all the characteristics of a timid Persian (maybe just a tad more playful) without the long long hair. Easy to maintain!
All I Want for Christmas...
Well, I think it's a bit late to post a Christmas Wishlist for 2011 and I think no one will give me these anyways. Nonetheless, a wishlist is a wishlist. A girl can dream, right?
WORLD MAP. With cork board and clear/frosted pushpins! I want a world map as big as possible, big enough to post on my room's red red wall. Of course it has to have a cork board and pushpins, so I can mark all the places I've visited (and cork board so I don't destroy the room wall with the pushpins). It has always been a dream of mine to be able to pin down all the places I've been to and all the places I plan to visit. I've seen a version of it in a movie (I forgot which), and I instantly fell in love with the idea. I know I haven't been to many places, but the visiting the world is definitely the goal. Now, I kinda have an idea of how I would like mine to look like: world map against a giant cork board with 4-5 inches border. I plan to print and post pictures from my trip around the border! Won't that be cool? Polaroid-effect pictures are ideal, but the normal ones should do just as fine. The important thing is that I took the pictures with Rosso [my D90 which I hardly use :( sniff]. Too bad all my photos were with the old laptop that got stolen and I have no back-up of the photos. BOO! I have to start creating new photos, and that would mean more traveling! I have to go around the country or the world as much as possible to take back all the lost photos!
HK OR BORA TRIP. I am still debating whether to push through with HK or simply go to Bora for a beach vacation come March for my birth. Another option is to simply go out of town (drivable place) and cook a meal for my blockmates. I really really want to go to HK because I haven't visited since first grade(?). I also want to go to Boracay just because it's beach. And everyone keeps coming back to Boracay! The only thing hindering me from booking a flight is the budget. I was such a spender this 2011 (Puerto Princesa, Coron, Mulberry Alexa) and I intend to save every penny in 2012. I already have a booked flight to Bangkok for Cambodia next year and I don't really want to spend so much anymore. Basically this is a cost issue. So if anyone is willing to sponsor my trip (even if it's just flight or accommodation), that would be really great!

Well, those are all the things I can think of wanting for this Christmas. Aside from my usual dreams of a Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Giuseppe Zanotti, Brian Atwood, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Patek Philippe, Elie Saab, Mulberry, Jimmy Choo, etc., those are some things on my wishlist. The luxury itiems are way too much and I don't think I'll be able to accept those from anyone even if they're gifts! I'll just save and buy them myself. That way, it will be more gratifying.

Who is too excited to use her Moleskine Peanuts 2012 Planner? ME! I've been filling it up with as much notes and "plans" as I could! I'm too excited for it! Oh, and Case is gonna use the Starbucks 2012 Planner, which I have collected. In fairness, the coupons that come with the planner offer more drink promos than the previous years. It comes with a bookmark and a burlap pouch, which I intend to get from Case to use as my toiletry bag. Heehee :D Peanuts,,, Planner
Cambodia 2012
I'm not sure if I've blogged about this... but I am finally going to CAMBODIA next year!! ANGKOR WAT BE READY FOR ME! It will be a short trip, since I wasn't able to properly count the number of days needed. And it was done in such a haste I would be able to book a cheaper flight to REP if I booked a MNL-KUL flight. Oh wells. Malaysia is one of the least priority in my list and I would really rather go back to BKK than go to KUL. I miss Bangkok! BANGKOK Since the first and last time we toured BKK, there was political unrest. Road blocks were prominent and we really couldn't tour the shopping malls, temples, red light districts (anything inside Bangkok, really). What we did was tour around Pattaya instead. It was nice to see the garden, the animals, and so on, but I really wanted to visit Mr. Reclining Buddha, the floating market, and the Grand Palace. So now that I have a second chance, I will do all those! It will be crammed in one and a half day but what the heck! I can do it! It will be a whole day for the temples and floating market (hopefully), and shopping towards the evening. If time and shows permit, we'll try to catch a drag show too. Then the next day, we'll waste time doing a half-day cooking class! The same day with the cooking class, we'll fly to Siem Reap in the early evening! Then...it's... SIEM REAP We'll be arriving evening just in time to check-in and grab some dinner. Lights out will have to be early so we can prepare for the early land transfer to Angkor Archaeological Park! As I've read around online, we have to be there by 5am to catch the sunrise in Angkor Wat! That means we have to get up by 3am, get ready, grab some breakfast and leave by 4am! It's gonna be one heck of a hot day there! But all for the sake of beautiful pictures. I do hope I can get a bunch of good ones! I need to start again on my photos! After a full day in the park, we head back to Siem Reap for dinner and drinks. The next day will be allotted for some more sight-seeing around the city like landmine museum or the silk store. I would definitely want to try the fish massage though! Seems cool and a nice way to exfoliate dead skin cells. Haha! OKAY I AM OVERLY EXCITED FOR THIS TRIP! It's a year away and I've already come up with a tentative itinerary! LOL ,,
Cooking Spree
I've been doing some cooking since last weekend. Last week was the Creamed Corn, which I super love in my own way. It's not perfect but anything with heavy cream is gooooooood! Today, my brother handed me down the job of cooking dinner tonight because he had to leave for a bit. Ugh! So far, it's going great as I don't cook per se. It's more of a directing the help do what not and stuff. I just take a look and oversee if things are going the way they are. I just do the mixing and making timpla of the sauces or marinade or whatever. So far so good! So tonight, dinner is:- Mashed Potatoes with cream, cheese, and chives- Baked Prawns in garlic cheese butter- Lamb Chops- Polunchay (veggie)- Balsamic Mushrooms- Fish Fillet with Bacon I guess that's it! Facebook has become boring! Either that or I haven't had any adventures to share or upload in Facebook. I should take more pictures. I should go out more. Where to go? Any suggestions? On the bright side, adventure is sure for August 2012! Boyfriend and I are going to Bangkok-Cambodia! I am crossing my fingers for a drop in BKK-REP flights. Right now flights are crazy expensive as Bangkok Airways monopolizes the BKK-REP route. I knew I should have done my homework first and figure out which country has the cheapest route to REP. Oh wells. I don't mind staying in Bangkok, I'm just not sure if Case wouldn't mind. I do miss their food that's why I opted for BKK instead of SGN. I've been to SGN twice and I absolutely have no plans of going there for the third time! I might as well move to SGN if that's the case. Haha So, if any one knows a cheap way of traveling from Bangkok to Siem Reap (airplanes, please), then do message me! Thanks in advance!:) IN OTHER NEWS,My AODP-mates are planning on a Bora 2012. I am inclined and both of us are game, but, is it worth sacrificing my long awaited dream of going to HK? Case wants to go to HK, so do I. I'm just not sure if I can afford both, since we are expecting expenses for the Cambodia trip. I'm once again torn. :| Bora or HK? Bora? HK? Both? :| ,,,,,
Alone Time
It's nice to know that despite being together for 2++ years and in constant communication ever since, our email letters proves to get longer as each day passes while he's in US. It amazes me that after all these times, we still have quite a lot to talk about. I think the undivided attention we give to each response also attributes to its length. There's just so much to talk about all of a sudden! I love it. Haha Hopefully it stays the same when he gets back. We get to have full on conversations in person too. Maybe more alone dates outside and not just staying at home. TV and Internet is too much distraction! There are always shows to watch and Facebook to check out. Added to that is the recent phenomenon of deal sites! I must remember to have more lunch dates and dinner dates. , time,,
Love Letters
Bf and I are exchanging email letters while he's in the US. Since weekend is over and work has begun for both of us, emails are our only way of communication. YM and Facebook video chat (which btw works really well!) aren't options anymore because they are blocked by our office network! I also tried the meebo thing but I couldn't ping it. I think it's because I don't have enough access to ping. I couldn't ping even yahoo.com. Anyway, he sent me quite a long message about the things he did and how his day went. And I replied back with an even longer email! I didn't think we'd have such a lengthy exchange! Rarely do I compose email of such length. It would probably fit an entire 8.5" by 11" paper, Arial, 10, single spaced. It's amazing! Haha It's nice to know that we can write such long letters. It means we still have a lot of things to talk about!

I just found out yesterday night that Mulberry bags comes in a paper bag and a dust bag only. They don't have boxes! I've read about it in the Shipping and Delivery section of their website and wasn't ready to accept it. Only when I looked around a certain bag forum did I confirm it. Oh shucks. So I guess that paper bag really is going home with Case!
Oh! Today we had lunch at Gloria Maris for Vanessa (Erwin's little sister) because she passed the board exams. She's now Vanessa Co, M.D.! But GP only, she'll take internal medicine and will have residency in National Kidney Institute. Food was different; they served Native Chicken Soup, some hot taro salad and Fried Lapu-lapu in hotpot with veggies. Then the rest were normal dishes like cold cuts, steamed shrimps, fried pigeon, steamed crab, and hot taro soup as dessert.
Fitting went okay. Dennis Martin (the designer) already finished sewing the gown with just final detailing to add! The design didn't stand out as much as I'd hope but it still works. Ahya has pictures of it in his iPad, take a look at them when you get back. :) I asked him to lengthen the bottom by 1 inch because the dress won't be floor-length if I wear the Aldo strappy shoes. The blue isn't as sharp or as bright as I thought. It's a pale blue kind. Anyway, we'll just have to see the final result! The flower girls' dresses are top part white and skirt portion blue. Very winter-y themed. The mommies are yellow shades though. Too sudden a brightness for the entourage. The ninangs are also in the shade of blue. Hahaha
Anyway, that's for today. Oh and I dropped by Starbucks Banawe for a drink on the way home at around 5pm and mehn was it full! Like 5 people in front of me in line and a full house with no vacant seats! I tried the Cranberry White Mocha frap (no whip) and yes it's a lot yummier than the iced one! Must be the coffee-base they use. Coffee is more pronounced in the frap compared to the iced drink. Although I might have to try the iced drink again to be sure. Maybe I was just surprised with the taste the first time I tried it. In any case, I have around 7 more times to try it! Haha
Oh and I started watching Once Upon A Time. It's the series about fairy tale characters stuck in the real world. It stars House girl and Ginnifer Goodwin. So far, it's dark and gloomy and serious. 2 episodes in and so far so good! :)

Traveling Pants
I am so tempted to book a cheap flight to anywhere just so I am sure that I'll travel over the next few months. CebuPac has cheap flights to Ho Chi Minh and Brunei at P888 while they have flights to Bangkok at P1,488.
While I really want it to be HK, I couldn't wait any longer! We plan to go there on my birthday weekend next year, but it seems like no airlines are offering promos to HK! It sucks. Maybe we have to wait a little longer? Maybe mid-November? I sure hope so.
I also need someone to go with me! Since my parents won't let me travel with bf alone, we need other people to come with us. Anyone who's game? Just let me know!
