Why I Stopped Comparing Myself to Others
We all do it-scroll through social media, see someone else's life, and suddenly feel like we're falling behind. I used to compare everything: how I looked, how fast others achieved things, or how happy their lives seemed. It drained me.
One day, after spending hours comparing my day to someone else's highlight reel, I asked myself: "Does this make me better, or bitter?" That one question made me step back and reflect.
I realized that comparison steals joy. Everyone's path is different. Just because someone reaches a goal faster doesn't mean I've failed. Life isn't a race-it's a personal journey.
Now, I try to focus on progress, not perfection. I celebrate small wins. I remind myself that the only person I need to be better than is the person I was yesterday. And honestly? It feels so much lighter this way.
