Kolam Atuk (Grandpa’s fish pond)

Me: Waaaan….! Angah poie main kek kolam yo.

(Me: Grandma, I am going to the fish pond for a while)

Wan: Jangan lamo-lamo, dogheh naik, ni dah potang dah ni, kojap laie nak Megherib.

(Wan: Don’t be long, its late evening already, soon its going to be dusk)

Me: Okie, Angah tughun dongan Abang Ajoy ni, nak mancing jap.

(Me: Okay, I am going with Ajoy. We are going to fish some fishes)

Ajoy: Angah kang lopeh dapek talapia ni kito buek ikan bakar malam ni yo.

(Ajoy: Angah, tonight, lets make some grilled fishes given that we got some Talapias (baca:a type of river fish)) 

Me: Siap! Jangan lupo amik air kelapo, Ajoy!

(Me: Alright! Don’t forget to take the coconut drink along)

Man, I miss kampung alot! This dialogue happened when I was a young boy, playing with my cousin, Ajoy.
