One of the best things about Agatha All Along is that, if you put the magic aside, each of the coven members' individual struggles all stem from very normal human issues:

Billy misses his brother, but he's also struggling to figure out who he is and what he's supposed to be

Agatha's still haunted by the loss of her son and her mother's abusive behaviour, along with the consequences of years of being told that she's a terrible person often enough that she began to believe it and behaved accordingly

Jen is struggling to recover from a violent encounter with a man who made her feel weak and powerless; even now that she's got her life back on track, the impact of that is still felt every day

Alice is trying to process her complicated feelings towards her late mother, whom she felt prioritised her career over Alice herself, while also feeling like a failure in her own life

Lilia has never fit in, and she's searching for a sense of belonging that she lost long ago after losing her friends/family to illness

Rio regrets prioritising her job in a way that led to the breakdown of her relationship

Even Sharon is struggling after losing her husband

Like, it sounds a bit backwards that a show about witches and cosmic entities has some of the most realistic characters I've seen in a long time, but that's because they're all grounded in problems and feelings that we can all relate to in some way, and I think that's fucking masterful characterisation

Kele Okereke, Everything you wanted, The Boxer (2010)

Basking in his newfound buffness, Kele showed his lighter side by gracing the cover of Attitude in a colourful 80s inspired B-boy spread. The cover is a departure from the solemn demeanour and [alluring] sentimentality we’ve come to know him for; it marks the beginning of his solo career, a new image and the electro experimentation he presents on his debut album. Nonetheless, he salvages this solemnity on the more introspective lyrics, allowing for bittersweet quivers on tracks like ‘All the things I could never say’, ‘Everything you wanted’ and the inspirational dance anthem, ‘Rise’.

Kele is currently on a tour that takes him across Europe, North America and Australia. The second single off his album is ’Everything You Wanted.’
