Wow?? This is my first opinion post so take it or leave it; I donāt mind either way.
I. URL / icon
I canāt quite tell if your url is supposed to be a variant on the wordĀ āhipstersā or if itās your own thing, but it doesnāt really matter either way!! It looks good and itās memorable, which is what matters. Personally Iām not a fan of the hqĀ ending for rpgs, but it is a new thing, and at least itās better than having nothing there!I think your icon might be a vinyl record? The longer I stare at it, the harder it is to tell that it says hiPstvrs and not hiDstvrs, but I donāt think anyoneās going to be staring at it for as long as Iāve been doing. Every time I go to write part of this response I see it.
II. Index / Sidebar / Posts
The header is loud enough to draw interest, but not loud enough to turn me away, which is definitely a good thing. I like that the background has straight lines while the letters are curved, since it displays a lot of contrast. The colours are all dichromatic (on the grey and pink scale), but I think it works well, especially since that seems to be a continuous theme the further down I scroll.Left-hand sidebars often work best, so Iām glad to see youāve implemented one! Iām also glad that it (and the nav bar) are sticky, so thereās no chance of accidentally scrolling past important information. Bless you for having a music link without an auto player; those things scare the crapĀ out of me, and that link is a nice way to go around it. Iād suggest having some sort of mini-plot on your sidebar, though, because I still have no idea what your rp is about.Also, a personal suggestion: I like that you have a mobile nav button, but it doesnāt need to be on your desktop version. You can subvert this by going into your code and replacing {Description} with {text:Desc}, then going into your meta tags and (under the one for text:Header Title). There, just add Ā When you go back into your customisation screen, you can scroll down and find theĀ āDescā box; add your description there withoutĀ the mobile nav link. Sure, youāll have two description boxes (one for mobile & one for desktop), but itāll be a little neater and a lot more visually appealing.As I move on to the posts, Iām starting to get a little tired of the squiggly words; the admin signatures are especially hard on my eyes, given that theyāre black on a white background with intenseĀ rippling in each letter. Iām not sure you need mascot faces as icons in your signature, but if you want that, go for it! Itās a nice touch I havenāt seen before. Iām glad to see that youāre pushing for PoC fcs!!
III. FAQ / Ask Page
I donāt know if youāve been on this page a lot, but you canāt see the full sidebar here. Try and go into your code to change this - underĀ ābody {ā you can addĀ āmin-height:1200px;ā and thatāll fix this on any page that doesnāt have enough content info!
IV. Navigation
Ooh, a trailer! I see Iāve found your plot too, haha. The trailer was fun to watch, but again with the squiggly words. (I promise I wonāt mention this again; Iām sure you know how I feel about them by now.) Only now am I starting to get a sense of what this RP is about - Iād suggest either adding that one-line summary at the end of your plot to your sidebar or using it to replace that section right above your mobile nav button. With your plot, I get the feeling that everyoneĀ works at Saturn Records, doing either the same or similar things. That limits the sorts of characters youāll get, but Iām sure youāve planned for that.Rules - I love your last one. This has been an issue in nearly every roleplay Iāve seen, and this is the first time Iāve read a rule about it.Nav links - you donāt seem to have any banned fcs, which Iām hesitant about. My suggestion is maybe banning all faceclaims under a certain age (ex. 18, when they reach adulthood, although that would remove Lucky Blue Smith). You also lack a taken fc list, and though you have a character list, most people are far too lazy to search it (even with the miraculous ctrl+f) to be sure the fc they desire is available. Iām appreciative of your guide to the 70ā²s, though!Your tags are easy enough to see and remember. Memorability is always prime when it comes to a roleplay.
V. Application
Simple and concise. Maybe add a spot for the gender of the character, since sometimes people who donāt identify withĀ the gender binary use binary pronouns (ex. a demiboy who uses masculine pronouns).Ā
VI. Conclusion & Extras
This isnāt a roleplay I myself would go for, but it seems to be well put together! To increase popularity, maybe use the ānew rpā / ānew rpgā and āoriginal rpā / āoriginal rpgā tags. Iām sorry this got so long, and I wish you luck!
