All Hail New Era

New Era, huh? What's good in there? Is it great? There is so many great things in New Era University that doesn't know by many people and students and these things are really great and cool, but enough for that, now I tell you some of the great and cool things that New Era University has aside from what is really known as Disciplined School.

In New Era, we don't just study, we study while having fun. New Era has many activities each year and it is always fun. One of this activities is the NEU fair, that alwayd anticipated by the students each year. In this activity there is, talent competetion, beauty contest, and of course skills challenge. Wait there's more, because of the booth's by the club's, the students of the whole university can participate in the fair, and those booth's are not just only booth's they are full of suprises. Lastly, don't forget to take pictures and indulge with the happy experiences.

This things are just some of the some things that a Eranian is so proud of. That's why, All Hail New Era.

Eranian

How’s and what is life when you are living on a dorm? My friends ask me, living on a dorm is just only a part of my life. What is my real life is being and Eranian, and being Eranian is not just about studying and living on a dorm. The true essence of being a Eranian are living holistically in all kinds of living; living for study, living for yourself, and of course the most important is living for god.

 I woke up in morning usually 9:00 am, I will now wash my face and brush my teeth and take breakfast, I eat breakfast at outside of the compound of LIG our dorm, after that I will go back to my room to rest and do my assignments if there are assignments or projects, around 10 o’clock I will now take bath, after taking bath I’m going to gym to have light to normal cardio and weight training, I’m going outside of the compound at back side of the condominium to eat at Nanay’s eatery and take rest. Around 12:30 o’clock I will now go back to my room and get ready to school. 1:00 o’clock or 1:15 o’clock I will go to school. At Thursdays and Sundays I usually go for worship services and times are 7:00 pm for Thursday and 10:00 am for Sundays.

 My life is simple, as an Eranian I always balance my living with all the things that I encounter and do. This is my daily routine.

My pets

As a person I am really a pet lover, I have 4 dogs and 1 cat, they are very lively and happy, I always take care of them, I’m the one who always groom them and fed them. I was really close to them whenever I got home coming from different places they always warmly welcome me.

 Jake was my first dog he is the leader of the pack, he is the very meticulous in food and very brave, he also doesn’t want flies fly on him specially on me, he was the very disciplined in all my pets since he was the first, he is also very tolerant and have a long patience with my other two dogs. Second Jana, Jana was a female dog, a small dog actually but not a size of Chihuahua, she is timid when she is only alone but a mischievous dog when my two young dogs around, her bones was also soft. Since they are both born on the same month the thirds are Jazz and Jordan, First Jazz, Jazz was the very mean dog within all of my dogs he doesn’t want Jordan to come to our main house and he just want only Jordan to stay on the kennel, see how mean, but Jazz was very lovely dog and protective dog and of course mischievous. Next Jordan, Jordan was very mischievous dog in all of my dogs, he just want always to play, run , eat and of course have a playmate and that was Jazz the mean, but Jordan is quite disciplined specially when I’m feeding him, If I don’t say “eat” he will not eat. Lastly My cat, my cat was just neutral among all of them, but sometimes quite annoying, Jade is his name, Jade always want to eat, even he just only done eating he wants again to eat. Jade always sleep by my side, he sleeps between my legs, even sometimes my legs are mounted on him he just doesn’t care about it but what he really does is continuing to sleep between my legs. These are the characteristics of my favorite pets, they are common but my love for them is real and their love for me is unconditionally and that is why I love them.

Jake was a Dalmatian-Labrador bred, and the others are Aspin (Asong pinoy) and Jade was a common domestic cat. Lastly my pets are part of my life because I am part of their life, that was why I always love and take care of them.

506

A place where dreams are takes place, a place where happiness lies, a place where friendships are made, and a place where knowledge and wisdom rises. Now I will tell you how I go to this place.

First, I will go down from my room and building, after that I will take this invention that can lift persons up and down, of course I’m going down, after I get down, I will now walk reaching the building and go through the shortcut that I always take when I going to 506, after that I’m still walking, now reaching for the gate, after the gate there are vehicles that have three tires on irregular positon yet maintaining the balance of it and gave the passengers a nice condition when riding on it, of course I’m going to ride on those to reach my destination, as a ride one of those know I will tell these commands, “school just only in the gate”. Now the vehicle start roaming, as I sit on the chair of the vehicles and saw the view and the daily lives of different persons I just started to always feel calm and collected. In the gate of the paradise there are guardians that are protecting the paradise and of course also the people on the paradise, but you cannot go to paradise without having a key and of course if you don’t meet up the appropriated rules when going to the paradise, one of its rules is you must wear your key always. Now that I have my key and I met up the appropriated rules, I will now walk to the lines that have the locks, I will now put my key to that thing and go to the paradise, after I got in I will now walk to reach the main building of the paradise, now that I am now on the main building I will now go down because it is my way going through to 506, since I’m on my way to 506 I will walk on the left pathway and go straight and turn right and turn left again until I see our building gate. Now that I’m on our gate the guardian will just let me through because I was clear on the main gate.  Now I will now take the left side and take its stairs until to the top because 506 were on the top. While in the top I will now walk at the left side and reaches my room 506.

506 is my room in New Era University. What I told on the second paragraph is how I always go to my room daily. This is the place where I learned and the place where my dreams start to be a reality and not a just dream, and of course this place is where I found my precious friends. 506

Beat the Heat

Beat the Heat

 As summer season is coming in Philippines, let’s now highlight the classic dessert of our country that we always crave when it’s too hot. Halo-halo, our dessert that always keeps our body and tongue satisfied when it’s too hot because of the blazing sun. Now I’m going to feature the Halo-halo of Nanay, she’s not really my mother but we call her Nanay, Nanay’s Halo-halo is one of the best and now I will tell you why her Halo-halo is one of the best.

 We all know what Halo-halo is, Halo-halo is a dessert that composes of red beans, sweetened banana, different kinds of jelly, jack fruit, pearls, evaporated milk, sugar, sweet yam, leche flan, and of course crushed ice. Nanay’s Halo-halo doesn’t only have all these in her Halo-halo she also add another ingredient and it is sweet potato, curios? Sweet potato because of its different kind of sweetness that has bitter aftertaste that is not too bland and too sweet, this kind of taste makes Nanay’s Halo-halo very nice and as a result you could not resist the taste and it makes you eat more without being too tired with the sweetness.

 Fun fact before I end this blog, Nanay’s Halo-halo recipe is unique but she doesn’t even know why her Halo-halo is unique, she doesn’t even know the purpose of the sweet potatoes on her Halo-halo and I find it great. She just served with smile and happiness, in the end what matter the most when it comes to food, is when the person that serving you is happy and have a smile on their face.

 MY BLISSFUL JOURNEY

Cold winds, warm water, cloudy sky, clear water, happy faces in the dusk place. These are the things that I experienced and saw throughout this unforgettable travel that I take.  

This travel takes place when we, my friends go to a hot spring, a very nice hot spring, as I told on my introduction that was the happenings on my place that I go to . When we go to that hot spring that place is a calm and peaceful place, plus the weather on that day that was very cloudy and dark that makes you more relax and relieved. The water that came from the mountains was very warm and clear it relax your tired muscles and exhausted mind when you go to the pools, plus no need to worry about opening your eyes under water because the water is all natural, it doesn't have a chlorine that is needed for sanitation. As me and my friends indulge in that very nice pool and weather we could not help ourselves to have a smile throughout our faces, and also from our hearts.

This unforgettable travel that I did will always be on my memories, because of the nice things and great feelings that I have when I have these kind of travel. Travels will always be worth it specially when you have your friend going to that place.

Sensei

What you plant is what you harvest, this kind of saying that comes from bible is basically true. Why? Because that is reality. If you plant knowledge you will gain knowledge but is not just about planting, it is also about nurturing those knowledge, it is about how those knowledge will be used for. Sensei is the ones that nurture those knowledge and make it sure that this knowledge will be used for the right things.

 We have these sensei’s in our hearts and life that taught us how you should live life, how we should start thinking right, how we should act right, we always have those sensei’s that teaches that things in ourselves. We feel amazed and grateful  that their teachings are embedded in our hearts that lead us to be a better persons.

I have these sensei’s that taught me the values of life, he taught me everything, that I should not always let things happen on their own accord, that I must learned to act and not just let the fate do everything, that I must think right,  that I must respect those persons who are in me, that I must learn to learn.  

Those teachings is what makes me a better version of my self, thanks to those knowledge that are implanted to me and nurtured time by time of that sensei, He always make sure that I’m gonna be better and used his teachings for right and for not wrong.  Future can differ from what you plant, but a person’s heart always needs a nurturing hands.

Growing Utopia

A place where you start having friends, sharing your joy. A place when you just playing. A place where you and your friends belong.  A place where your adventures starts and takes place. A place that your eyes would always remember.

Our barangay is nice and steady, it is growing not just economically but also socially, our generation that experience a nice childhood through out our barangay is lucky but we want the next generation also to have a great childhood, that’s  why now the barangay officials working hard to improve the barangay in terms of security, cleanliness, and also unity of each one. Now the barangay is continuing striving for the better sake of the barangay, these next children’s that will create, dream, work, for their dreams in our barangay would have better inspiration in achieving their dreams because our barangay mold these children’s to be better persons just like ours their predecessors.

Hopes, dreams, achievements everything that child gets the barangay sees it all, the barangay is the place where talents and efforts are born, for their dreams. Those children’s dreams is what makes our barangay a growing utopia.

Simple Essential’s

Nutritious yet Delicious, this is what a Pinakbet is, pinakbet is a food that usually a Filipino family  dine in their homes, because you can cook pinakbet really fast and you can save up time, this food is a Ilocano dish, so this time I would tell you how to cook it, in a smooth way.

 Pinakbet is a dish composed mainly of vegetables, like , string beans , eggplant, bitter curd, squash, and many other more. You could add a small quantity of pork to add a meaty taste to the vegetables. First prepare the ingredients, prepare the utensils. Second wash the ingredients, after that start chopping the onions, garlic. Third heat the pan, and put a oil, when it is ready start sauteing, add first the pork then when the pork is have brownish color add the vegetables, mix it thoroughly  then add soy sauce and small quantity of salt and vinegar for better taste.

 See it ’s easy ,now it ‘s your time to try cooking pinakbet, so you have now a simple dish yet delicious and nutritious and also a time time saver if you are a busy person.

Blood or Faith?

What matter the most? Is it your kin or your God? Can you gave up the all the things you can inherit from your parents? Can you defy your parents and go for your faith? Lastly would you able to have no regret on choosing your faith rather than your blood?

My grandparents came from a economic stable families, specially my grandmother, they are not rich in money but in land, My grandfather is a middle classman, so their living is stable even though it is still hard. When My grandparents married each other their early married life was okay for them and their both families but when my grandparents started to go for their faith, they are going to be part of Church of Christ  (Iglesia ni Cristo), things started to stirred up.

Problems, adversities, and many other more come to our grandparents, but they faced it along with their fate in God, they put their trust and faith to God that’s why they able to face those adversities. One of those adversities was, My Grandparents would not be the children of their parent, (My Great Grandparents) and they would not inherit anything from them.

That was a very heavy burden and problem for my Grandparents, because having a inheritance form your parents back in the day was very important because of the hard life back in the day and it is also part of the tradition that is a must. Guess what? My Grandparents did not take any care for this but instead they put their trust and faith to God more and they work hard to buy a land and a house that they would gave to their children’s. More importantly our grandparents gave us what is more important to inherit, Faith in God. In true  God.  They put their faith in God that’s why they able to battle those adversities even though they are forsaken by their parents.

Kin is kin, but when God test your faith for him and guide you towards him, kin would always be kin, but more importantly God will always be God and you must obey him. As my Grandparents sow the seeds of their faith we the grandchildren’s become the fruits of that faith as time goes by those fruit will create seeds that will continue the faith that our grandparents sow for us.
