FIRST UNITARIAN CHURCH of ROCHESTER
Louis I. Kahn
Arguably the king of brick architects Louis Kahn's church in New York state displays his characteristic play with light and shadow on the back drop of some sweet ass brick. Bricklove times a million.

Louis Kahn - Talks to a Brick
Because they love bricks and we love them.

STRUCTURAL OSCILLATIONS
by Gramazio & Kohler
This week at bricklove we decided it's time for a pot noodle. That dirty pleasure of peeking into the unnerving, yet strangely enticing, world of wavy brick research. Brick traditionalists look away now.
Built as the Swiss contribution to the 2008 Venice Biennale this alluring brick installation melts its way through the plan forming a free standing wave you can't help but want to stroke.
What's more is the entire thing was built by a robot reducing the hand to brick contact hours to zero. Oowww dirty.
BATTERSEA POWER STATION
Giles Gilbert Scott / Halliday
Long loved landmark brick behemoth Battersea station let us in for a look around at open house. Brick love went mainstream, excellent queueing skills were being displayed outside for over 5 hours. Sublime scale and detailing. Awe inspiring brick effort.
Brick love envies all those who end up living in this cathedral of power. Those brick walls best be left bare.
SUPREME HOUSE
by Hansjorggoritz Architecktur Studio
This parliament building in Liechtenstein (as well as being able to fit the entire population inside) is a masterclass in monotone brick use. Pure and simple geometry and detailing to drool over, this building is getting some well deserved bricklove
BEAR LANE
by Panter Hudsplith Architects
Great imagination and a bevy of influences, from Irelands Giant's Causeway to the San Gimignano in Italy, gives a great modern example of how inner city flats can actually look nice.
And of course...some sweet ass bricklove
GRUNDTVIG CHURCH
by Peder Vilhelm Jensen-Klint
An absolute bloody Goliath in the brick world and housing sweet early 19th century brick detailing. (others agree) Although this looks like its fallen straight out of metropolis onto the earthy brick surface it actually sits at the end of a otherwise unassuming street in Copenhagen.
CLOUDSCAPES - VENICE BIENNALE 2010
by Tetsuo Kondo Architects
If theres one thing better then a an old Venetian Naval building made of brick its an old Venetian Naval building made of bricks and then filled with a suspended cloud.
BRENTWOOD SCHOOL SIXTH FORM COLLEGE
by Cottrell & Vermeulen
A real labour of brick love makes the newest addition to a 450 year old school building.
Outstanding brick course flair and filigree, multiple pitches and a plinth to boot. Whats not to (brick) love.
KANTANA FILM INSTITUTE
by Boonserm Premthada
Built in thailand this project was highly commended in the ar's emerging architecture award in 2011. The uncompromising brick love here is plain to see and the thickening of the walls with a concrete frame gives it depth and allows for that sculptural quality.
EXETER LIBRARY
by Louis Kahn
Arguably one of the masters of brick sculpted buildings, this is fitting example of Kahn's rigorous plan organisation to build up mass and dense shadows while exploiting the haptic qualities of a brick, concrete and timber combination
TIMBERYARD HOUSING
by Odonnell-Tuomey
Great use of brick as contextual empathy in a unique housing scheme for Dublin
