“I’d be a miserable, that’s for sure. [..] I get that. It happens, baby. I’m sure they were understanding. Nothing else you could’ve done in such a situation. They’ll love the idea. I’m at least counting on Aly. I promised we’d watch a movie she told me about the other day. And if not, well. We’ll have the evening for ourselves. Which I wouldn’t be sad about either. Ah. That so? For some reason I was able to bag this beautiful woman right here, so possibly there’s got to be some kind of truth to it.”

“ Yeah, I know that. And they were, mostly very understanding. What can you do, right? I’m more annoyed about it in general. I know how important the weekly session are for some. They’ll love the idea? We been raising the same kids? Mhm. Yeah, you might get her convinced with that. What movie? Do you know if she ate lunch yet? Mhm. There’s more than just some kind of truth to it and I’m afraid my not so humble husband is still very aware of that. ”

“That… Yeah, those are my vitamins. Busted. Thank you. What would I only do without you? [..] So and so doesn’t sound so great. How many patients do you still have scheduled for today? Maybe we should have a nice evening later. Order some food and ask the kids if they want to watch something. A little massage a little later on, if you’re feeling that. Ah, well. Yeah, the usual business. It’s a little hard for some to understand I’m still no God in charge of the weather. I’m working on it, don’t get me wrong but not quite there yet.”

“ You’d have someone annoying you about your Vitamin C a lot less, that’s for sure. [..] I’ve moved most of my appointments to when I can go back, but I said I’d be available all day. Also still need to work on some other things. So it’s so and so, but pretty okay all in all. Just wish I didn’t have to reschedule on so many people. Well. Mhm. That sounds lovely. Let’s see how excited your kids will be about that idea, but you have me on board. Ah. Maybe not quite, but you’re well on the way. You’ve got the looks down at least. ”

“Hey. They’re working on it. Toni’s in touch with the snow shovelling company. She’s sending me updates every two hours on the phone. Since they haven’t forecasted any new snow tonight, it’s looking good for tomorrow. I have not, but I was planning on doing that now. Thanks, baby. Feel like joining me? Have a seat. Tell me about your day so far.”

“ Well, that’s good news. Mhm. Yeah, okay, I can do that. I don’t have a lot of time, but.. a short break might be good. I’ll just warm some food up for us. Is that.. your vitamins? From this morning? Again? You gotta take those, baby, I don’t put them out for you every morning for nothing. Here you go. Ugh, honestly. It’s been okay. So and so, but getting there. Just work. And you? Been getting any angry e-mails complaining about the weather yet? ”

“ God, I sure hope the roads into Chicago will be back open by tomorrow. I’ve just got off a one and a half hour call with one of my patients and.. Anyway. How’s things here? Have you eaten lunch? There’s some leftovers in the fridge, I don’t know if you saw. ”

–– if there’s dark secrets that you’re hiding you probably don’t want to get too close to khloe lawson. she’s an analyst and applies everything she learns during her studies on everyone immediately; a lot of the time she does this subconsciously. it is simply her hunger for the knowledge and understanding of the human psyche, even though she sees many issues with psychology as it’s being taught today. it’s often classist, racist, sexist, etc. in its core and because of this belief she has rubbed her lecturer’s the wrong way many times before. she’s unafraid to question the doctrine. she recently scored a work placement in a county jail that she’s due to begin later in the summer. she lives off campus, at home with her parents, as it was what made the most sense at the time and also their home is relatively close in suburban chicago. she’s popular with her group of friends from home and they don’t branch out much, preferring to stay to themselves. the other day, one of khloe’s friends set her up on a blind date – something that khloe first took offence to. she didn’t have any issues finding boys to go on dates with or to have fun with, thank you very much. but her friend eloquently reminded her that ‘the boys in their vicinity ain’t shit’, so khloe decided to give it a go. as she waited patiently for her blind date, some greasy-hair looking boy sat across from her at the diner and she tried to politely tell him to fuck off, she was waiting for a date. her face when he assured her he was said date must’ve spoken volumes, but he was a good sport and didn’t take offence. and by some miracle khloe didn’t end up hating eric hale’s company as much as she thought she would. ––
