I no longer desire a friend other than Allah

I have become a stranger among my own family

Don’t say anything to anyone that you wouldn’t like to hear for yourself and in a manner that you wouldn’t like for yourself to be spoken in and that if you were in other person’s place you would do the same as he did.

So before saying anything, first measure your words upon the scales of the Quran and sunnah, then put yourself in the show of the one you are addressing and accordingly say it in a manner that you’d love for yourself to be spoken to.

Don’t justify a sin because you’re indulging in it, face the shame. And if there isn’t any, may Allah grant you some.

Nobody speaks about how debilitating it is getting out of depression. How anxious and empty you feel after having a nervous system solely focused on surviving for so long.

How in some twisted way, you feel like a part of you is missing?

Anas (رضي الله عنه) narrated that when the prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) was faced with a serious difficulty he would always supplicate:

“Ya hayyu, ya qayyumu, bi-rahmatika astaghithu"

(O the Living, O the eternal, I seek help in your grace)
