In absence of a fairytale ending

ramble in the readmore ^_^

I like looking at godonaru from the angle of like. How they've both been obsessed with being heroes, saving people - especially the ones they love - and failing.

How they both had 'fairytale' ideal love stories that didn't end how they wanted, and they've had to grow past it.

For Diego, obviously he lost his happy future with Mia; but for Phoenix I think about how in aa2 he spent a year grieving Miles, after pining for this man so much he spent years building a career to save him and be his hero, thinking he finally did it and he might get his chance - only to lose him. And he ends up resenting him for it; thinking Miles really did end up heartless and only able to live with 'success'. Even when Miles came back, he was still so angry and hurt - and I think the fantasized idea of love he had for Miles very possibly could've been lost there.

And they still mean a lot to each other in the end, they rebuild their trust and realize the way in which they can rely on each other - but the love Phoenix had might not be in the same way afterwards. Miles ends up leaving a lot still - and I think he still has his own personal work to do before he might be properly romantically available.

Maybe someday he could find another way to love Miles when they're both ready... But maybe instead Phoenix finds himself with Diego, commiserating on how to love when the dream falls through, when neither of them got the fairytale ending they hoped for - and maybe teaching eachother how to under less illusive expectations :)

I have a flambert wip actually so the desire is definitely there!! I do very much love him i'm a sucker for a scruffy wet animal of a man... but also my art drive has unfortunately been fickle for the last year and a half so. I can't promise when or if it'll be finished orz

thank you!!! Diego was a man built for my tastes i had no choice but to render him as he deserves... and i've felt very flattered for the marginal extra appreciation i've managed to garner for the wrightdot agenda that's been seemingly unpopular for a very long time!! it does my ego very good whenever i get a tag along the lines of "wait... i'm seeing the vision..." lol

i've been in a bit of a mix of burnout city and juggling too many WIPS that i haven't been balancing well with work - it's been a bit sucky not being able to finish anything in months and i still don't really know when i will - but i'm otherwise alright!

so, my recent artwork isn't showing in tag searches even after 4 hours, fun, sure hope this isn't an omen that i've been shadowbanned or something...

apparently this can happen as a spam countermeasure and i'm wondering if the way i've been sharing fundraisers in relatively quick succession batches has been the source of it... i'll likely have to be more cautious about how i share them in the future which is. worrying. i also have to wonder if i can even request for the shadowban to be removed without calling attention to what i've been reblogging... (knowing this site does not care about World Events)

i see the anon ask i just got in my notifs but it will not actually let me open or answer it and it doesn't show in the askbox. which could also be tumblr eating up asks because that especially happens w/ sideblogs (and this is a sideblog) but i also tested trying to reply to a comment under this blog and that also didn't work so. hoping the site doesn't blow me up ^_^
