Wanna know something random, both Singapore and Maui (where Kiawe would be from irl) have a red hill

Wait on Haleakalā is where in Hawaiian legend Maui pulled on the sun with ropes to slow it so there'd by more daylight... Alola version could be Solgaleo and Maui alongside Zeraora pulling on it.. Lowkey idk Zeraora lore but it being a mythical just made me imagine this version in Alola, and it has plasma fists to help pull on and subdue Solgaleo...

Some weeks ago I started thinking about Solgaleo showing up in Singaporean folktales right, idk for what original reason it would but apart from the founding of the Lion City story, it could also have tried to save the folk figures that bled on Redhill. I've heard of 3 so far:

The popularised one is that of the boy who stopped swordfish attacks at a beach with banana tree trunks and subsequently the king wanted to kill him for being too smart so he ran up the hill and bled there, the second one is from an indigenous Orang Laut descendant who said the boy from that swordfish story was chained and drowned off Kusu Island (and you may still hear the sound of chains there), and it was his sister that died and bled on Redhill. The third story is about this lady named Lin Gu Niang that lived there. Her husband was a sailor and was frequently away, and another dude wanted her to marry him, but she committed suicide to prove her chastity (her spirit kept returning to help her neighbours and shes a local Taoist goddess now)

Yeah i was just thinking if Solgaleo happened to be there and tried to save them idk just my imagination

Prev tags yeah that makes me think that my other selfships is for fun escapism but Kiawe is special becuz he's molded into my real life and rather than just being escapism into a fictional world it also helps by bringing him into my world and making things fun to learn about... Like Idk if I would have gone for this gamelan sharing and mak yong mini performance if I didn't think he'd do it... He makes me want to learn more things (ignoring my poor retention) and I feel like I said this before but, then I start to wonder whether that is my own interest that would've formed outside of selfshipping, it's hard to tell becuz Kiawe is just so deep on my personhood now. And yeah Kiawe to me is also unremovable from irl topics of neocolonialism and indigenous rights and arts.... Oh but at the same time when I need a break from it all I can still always just go to Alola
