A mobile kicker table

In the series “foosball and design”, we present you today a table than we can bring anywhere with us: on the beach, in a picnic party or public park. A table called “Pappkicker”

This table is a (of course) German creation and it logically called “Pappkicker” by its creator. The idea is to have a light table that people can bring with them as simple case. And, by the way, to bring some fun and conviviality anywhere. The other thing is also the possibility to have his own personal figurine. Actually, different characters are proposed and they are easily interchangeable. But better that long sentences and few words, you could find below a video presentation of the table. And get idea of the object.

World Cup 2014

The official website for the next World Cup is now available on-line. This is a new site 100% dedicated to the up-coming ITSF World Cup and world Championship in Nantes.

Not only it presents the competitions and players for all countries which participated to this International event such as the schedule, some videos or others goodies, the website proposes also some tourism informations about the city to help every one to organize theirs journey there. After some searches on the WWW, we saw that it is not so much wallpaper for computer desktop available with foosball as theme. So, for this reason, we decide to start to create some for you. World Cup, December 2013

As every year in Nantes (France), the next World Cup will take place during the month of December 2013. From the 19 to the 22.12.2013.

Apple VS Samsung Eternal battle

22 November, 2013 – Four professional table soccer players from Team Foosin will meet for a match at the eSports lounge bar (Lithuania) to find out, which tablet, Apple iPad3 or Samsung Galaxy Tab2, cracks first.

The Apple tablet will be placed in front of the white team’s gates, Samsung – in front of the blue team’s gates. The tablet that cracks first will be a loser, the team that breaks the competing team’s tablet first – a winner. The match will consist of three stages, each played with three different balls: Bonzini ball (cork), Roberto Sport ITSF ball (plastic) and Garlando High Control Kicker ball (hard, rough-surface). It does not matter, which match will be fatal, both couples from Team Foosin will play until the end of the third match to see how many kicks each tablet can handle. Let’s see which ball breaks through!

Sign up, guess which tablet cracks first and which ball breaks it, and win the winner tablet, Samsung or Apple!

A new videos website

Today, Kickerz Warriorz presents you a new website with lot of foosball videos. It is a French website who proposes all kind of media such as photos and videos about this sport and called judiciously "Baby-foot sport". "Baby-foot" means table-football in French language. So, the videos published on this website are mainly be taken on different tournaments of the France league. For this reason, the majority of the matches are on Bonzini tables.

The website is fully in French, if you don't know this language, we propose you the direct link to access on the page "videos" here. You need just to click on the tournament name to access on its own page. All the videos proposed are in HD for a better watching.

Two Eleven tables

We continue on the design with the tables presented by the German firm 2Eleven. A company which proposes some rather beautiful models with a great cleanness design. For pieces composed of leather, wood, aluminium and/or carbon.

Because, some time, pictures explain much more that few words, you could find above a first photo of the model "Stadion 1" from the collection called "2eleven natural".

This collection is one the series proposed by the firm. This one presents two models, stadion 1 (photo) and 2. The difference between this two tables are the LCD screen include on the second.

Also, 2eleven proposes the model "original". Mainly composed of carbon, this model is a bit more colourful but can suite with all kind of modern interior.

So, to be honest: the tables realised by this company are made for up-market and are more in destination of luxury lofts or hotels or VIP lounges.

Mother Soccer

By this post, we will start a new column: "Foosball and design". The first one is in a Rock'n'Roll style and it's called by its authors "Mother Soccer". Mother Soccer is a home made conception realized on a Stella table for a concerts venue (l'Aéronef) based at Lille, in North of France.

The result is rather amazing. On the table, we can find  working Marshall speakers on each corners, the three ZZ-Top members in attack confronted with Elvis Presley as goal keeper, spot lights such as chrome and feet like guitar neck.

Kozoom broadcasting, June 2012

During this month of June 2012, 2 big competitions about foosball will take place: the Bonzini WCS in France and the European Champions Cup in Germany. Each of this tournament will be broadcast in direct live on the Kozoom website.

Actually, like is announced on the table-soccer mag published on Kozoom.com, the production team will be there with Jim Stevens and Ben Mason as hosts for this 2 major events presented by the ITSF.

The Bonzini WCS will take place in Pontoise (near Paris) the from the 15th of 17th of June and the European Champion Cup in Hannover the week after (23th and 24th of June).

So, forgot the EURO 2012 of football the time of this two week-end to watch some real sport.

Basic Defending - Pin Shot

The pin shot defence bears some similarity to that for snake shots (see here). The pin shot generally involves a smaller sideways movement of the ball.

Most players seem to find fast pull pin’s easier than fast push pin’s, so set the players up to cover the pull more. If the attacker prefers to push, adapt your defence accordingly. The keeper typically has more time to move to block the shot, and so will usually be used to cover the side you believe the attacker is most likely to shoot.

If the attacker is consistently scoring round the outside of the defence, stagger the players more and increase the width of the player movement. Although this increases the gap between the players, it can be hard for pin shooters to shoot straight down the middle.

European Champions Cup

The German Table Soccer Federation (DTFB) and the ITSF will propose the 23th and 24th of June 2012 the first European Champions Cup. This event will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, in Hannover, Germany. 8 teams are qualified for this competition.
