tumblr has this weird glitch where sometimes when you scroll past an ad (? its the most noticable times where this happens) it will start playing any video you on in the background on stuff like youtube (and this includes videos you had like just watched on discord.) i dont know why this happens but i dont really appreciate it cuz i dont exactly like having a reefback leviathan groaning in my ear while im trying to scroll through furry art

are you sensitive to the heat? heatwave tips ahead from your resident bedbound blogger. obviously drink water and get fresh air yadda yadda we already know that. but ALSO:

wear light colours, they basically bounce light n heat away whereas dark clothes absorb heat. also wear looser clothes

apply cold packs on the back of the neck, wrists, and ur stomach which is where your biggest artery is. if you cool the blood you cool the body

try positions where each limb is in minimal contact with other limbs if that makes sense. think starfish, open palms, spacious. you want to minmise the amount of skin touching other skin. ur own body tends to warm itself up whether you want it to or not

check more frequently for pressure sores if youre a wheelchair user, couchbound, or bedbound. sweat is a risk factor for pressure injuries

eat foods with high water content

splash water on the back of the neck and wrists

if the air temperature is above 35c /95f then a fan will NOT help you. try other cooling measures

if it’s humid like if you’re in the uk like me then try a dehumidifier. the humidity is part of what makes uk heat dangerous even when the temperature isn’t that high

omg these are finally done. su headcanons + mini redesigns because why not.

general info: i literally have no actual issues with these characters designs this is mostly just me attempting to improve on perfection, mostly with things that appeal to me specifically LOL. also in general i like to think that gems have a unique view on human gender/race/age labels and tried to reflect that in my hcs

steven: i gave him hair that resembles his mom a bit more, plus modified his coat a bit (the yellow sleeves and the flap thingies made to resemble rose petals.) i dont know if others are gonna like the demigirl hc as much as i do cuz canon steven is massive feminine boy rep (which i respect) but i mostly hc him that way cuz i like the idea of what happened to him in su future having permanent effects on his identity (which is also what's up with his hair)

pearl: gave her hair more similar to the ones she had in concept art cuz i like the swoopy swoop. i also gave her elf ears and a more extravagant outfit cuz i like the idea of pearl looking slightly more magical. she's like a magical girl but instead of a highschooler she's a high-strung mother, to me. i hc her as transslave in a sort of "ex-cisharmed transharmed" way, and honestly after rewatching the show she is NOT beating those allegations

garnet: changed her star visor to mimic the duel color thing she had in her early designs, otherwise just changed her outfit a bit and gave her star earrings cuz those go hard on her. also wanted to incorporate rubys headband into her design somehow so i gave her the choker

amethyst: i took alot of inspo from her concept art designs for this. i find the cougar vibe she gave in some of that art to be pretty neat, also i gave her some heavy eyeshadow cuz her hair reminded me of peg from lady and the tramp. i think shes transsex cuz it would explain why sometimes her chest looks larger, personally i like the idea that she once snuck an anatomy book rose read (in order to develop a womb), flipped through it and went "sick, i want that!"
