✰How dreadfully dull. [ OPEN ;

✰Wow, things were really starting to slow down here. Lady Palutena said there was a lot of activity around the school, but so far there was nothing. Nada, zip. It's like whatever was going on died a slow and boring death.

✰Sadly, Her Grace would have none of that. No, he was to stay here until the end of the school year... Whenever that was. Considering he was a senior, he only had to be here for a full year, but there was one problem.

✰Pit didn't even go to class. So, he was more than likely going to fail whatever final exams would be coming up.

✰He wasn't worried about school right now. Right now, he wanted to cure his boredom! There was no one around (probably because, y'know, they actually attend class you dumb chicken) and it was really annoying him.

"UGH, I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BORED!!!"

[ Risking her health out of spite towards the angel- just at the slight, slight chance to maybe ( ha ha ) take him out- was, admittedly, a terrible idea. He grinded every nerve she had down to the core, so much like the cackling of the half-dead kaibutsu she came across more often than not in her .flow state. 

Immediately, she tenses up upon realizing she has been scooped into the angel’s arms. Heart hammering in her chest, Rust screeching to get away get away kill him— instead, she inhales sharply and does her best not to flinch or aggravate the wounds, and to lean as far away from the boy as possible to lessen their contact as a whole, without managing to spill out of his arms. It’s not exactly struggling, per se…]

-“Why not just let me bleed? You have no ties to me, and seemed happy enough to butcher me up like this. Stupid angel.”

"I didn't seem happy. And I wasn't happy. I don't like hurting innocent people and unfortunately I had no choice but to fight back. Really, did you expect me to sit there and let you slam my face into the ground well my brains spilled out of my ears? No, Lady Palutena said when I had to fight back, I had to fight back - even if it meant hurting someone in the process.

Which, by the way, is why I'm carrying you to the nurse. Like I said, we need to get you patched up!"

✰He gave her a dorky smile, despite the fact that she probably wanted to kill him. Even so, he was silent until they reached the nurse's office and the angel peeked his head in. No one was in, so it seemed safe to get in without being questioned. He walked in with her and placed her down on one of the cots before searching around.

✰Pit found a cloth, quickly soaking it so he could clean the wound. "Careful, it might sting a bit." ✰Being a light arrow, it had disappeared when his bow disappeared, so it was out of the way. It made him feel better about injuring her, since pulling the arrow out wasn't exactly a fun thing to do. He began to clean her wound gently, glancing up to make sure she wasn't in too much pain.

"Once it's cleaned up, we'll bandage it up. You can still walk but you'll just have to be a bit careful. You know, so you don't reopen it."

[ It is the first time she has ever heard someone own up to mercy, to not wanting to hurt her. That it was within their power to stop any time they wanted and that they weren’t doing it just to torment her. And if it isn’t the biggest distraction she’s ever known. ]

-“I…”

[ With her like this, so vulnerable, it leaves him with the perfect opportunity to let that blue beam of energy to connect just above her knee, breath hitching in her throat as the pipe slips from her hands and she staggers to the left, another arrow grazing her shoulder.

With no time to react to the blows, her body crumples in on itself as she swears she can hear Rust hiss in the back of her mind about how they’ll be taking her back to the hospital and don’t you want to fight back? Don’t you want to live?

It’s all she can do to prop herself up slightly off the ground with her trembling hands, the pipe fizzling out in a buzz of static and a slight orange glow. Not wanting to look at him, she fixates her eyes on the string between the both of them and tries to laugh, but it comes out more of a ragged cough as her wounds continue to bleed. ]

✰When he sees her crumble to the ground, the weapon disappears in a thin of light and he stares at her. So vulnerable. So fragile, like glass. He can't help but feel so sorry for her. A sickly girl like herself fighting against an immortal being. Did she really think she had a chance against him.

✰Pit stares at the string, the distance shortening once again and he walks over to her, picking her up bridal style. The walk to the nurse's office isn't too far from here, and there's a good chance a nurse won't be in the room. Less explaining he would have to do.

"Looks like we're going to have to patch you up there, I'm sorry for hurting you, but I had no choice. All I ask is for your cooperation for now. If you struggle, the wound will only open up more."

✰He's silent as he continues walking, picking up the pace a up. He didn't want her to bleed to death after all.

[ At this, she almost laughs. Almost.

Knows people like her? Trashy to be fighting in the school zone? He hasn’t the slightest clue how familiar it all is, to have to resolve her problems with such similar ‘solutions’, even when it’s all in her head. Isn’t it?

Sabitsuki feels the pipe connect with, unfortunately, his arm- but the mere sight of a bruise so quickly blossoming across the limb like a twisted flower was satisfying enough for a first hit.

Until she feels the lacerations begin to scatter across her body like wicked needlework. ]

[ Instinctively, she gives a hiss of pain and reels back, her grip on the pipe weakening as her wounded flesh oozes the ugly, tainted blood. No, no, no- she hates how frail she can be, how easy it is to stop her- ]

“I.. am not ready to lose to you just yet.”

[ With this, she gives a ragged breath and swings the pipe across, horizontally this time, in a haphazard manner, no aim or precision to season the blow. ]

".... I don't want to hurt you."

✰And it was true, he didn't want to hurt the girl. However, he had no choice. He had to fight back. He couldn't keep dodging like this. If he can at least injure her to where she can easily surrender, he could take her to the nurse and patch here up. That was his plan a, after all.

✰Pit was quick enough to dodge that one. If he could at least his her leg, he could slow her down. He could also aim for one of her hands, the strongest one that had a better grip on the pipe.

"You leave me no choice, though!"

✰He attaches the Sacred Bow together and begins to aim at her leg and fires one of his arrows. the blue light dashing quickly to the limb. After that fire was shot, he begins to fire a few more to distract her.

[ For the slightest moment, she is none the wiser that he is pulling off the trick that’s up his sleeve- her sole focus only on the target below her, ready to place a crack or two between the brunette’s golden laurels- but her eyes focus on the smirk instead.

It’s almost like he’s encouraging it, wholeheartedly welcoming the fact her plan includes beating him to a bloody, feathery mess. In fact, she’s never even studied what would happen if one were to attack wings. Do they break like bones? Are they sturdy? She’d soon find out, now wouldn’t she? ]

“I do not think you know me well enough to make that call.”

[ She has seen her own guts, and could easily assure him they are there ( despite the fact the viscera was so painful and she hated, hated, hated it ). But now- she offers him only the down-bringing of a steel pipe and a smirk that she already knows is not really her own. ]

✰He hums to himself. "Maybe I don't know you very well. Maybe I know people like you. Either way, fighting in the school zone seems to be a bit trashy for a young girl like you, don't you think?"

✰He stopped once he saw Sabitsuki make the first move.

✰That's when he makes his move. The angel was fast enough to whip out and separate the Sacred Bow, but sadly he was only quick enough to move his head out of the way, for the pipe slammed against his arm. He yelped and took a moment to feel the pain before gritting his teeth and moving in the attack her.

✰Pit slashes out at her, hopping to at least cut her up a bit, badly cut her up even. She may have a steel pipe that could smash his brains out, but Pit had a sword/bow combination and he could easily stab her and carve her like a Halloween pumpkin. Or shoot her in the face. Whatever he feels like doing at the time. His arm was throbbing from her attack, but he's been through worse.

"And while I don't normally fight in this type of setting, I'm not going to let you smash my head in the floor without giving you a proper fight.

[ He keeps bickering about it and she’s already seeing red just from the fact she’s attached to this scrappy excuse of an angel via the seemingly unbreakable thread tied to both their fingers. ]

“You are the one who will be sorry once someone tears that obnoxious mouth from your face.” [ She seethes, not wanting to put up with his chattery nuisance of a self. It’s only when the string shortens- due to his stupidity- does she let herself draw the pieces together. ]

“I have your solution, yappy angel.”

[ She yanks the string to shorten the distance again, closing them in a step more, before hoisting the pipe up over both the thread and the boy. ]

“You want to be freed? Then I will show you just how useless I am.”

✰He's not stupid.

✰He knows she's not aiming for the string. She's aiming at his skull. The angel simply smirks, a hand behind his back. Pit needed to summon Palutena's Sacred Bow in order to start the fight, and it would take some time. He knows she'll do it, but she may not know that he will fight back. He could back his bark up with his bite. He wasn't a captain for no good reason.

✰The Sacred Bow was summoned secretly and pointed straight up so she wouldn't see it. Now that his weapon was in place, his yappy mouth would soon make his nickname for Sabitsuki 100% true.

"You wouldn't dare. You don't have the guts."

✰He knows she will but what's the point of a fight if your partner is all rattled up for it.

[ Of course she’s cranky. Waking up to find you’re attached to a seemingly unbreakable thread to the one person you want nothing to do with at this school? It was driving her up a wall. She wanted out. Now. ]

“Do you think I am so ready to believe whatever comes out of your mouth?”

[ Hissing in pain when the thread is yanked, her angered expression doesn’t lessen. In fact, it grows tenfold once the distance between them closes in slightly. Her eyes widen at the spectacle of the string shortening itself, before narrowing again once she looks up at the winged boy with disdain and annoyance. ]

“Whatever sort of joke this is, I am not laughing. Magic or not, you are proving to be just as worthless as I thought to solving any sort of problem.”

"Feel free to not believe me, but when I'm right in the end you'll be the sorry one."

✰What a pain in the ass. Pit tolerated all humans but this one was just a... Well, the angel didn't want to think such bad thoughts since he has no idea if Palutena could actually read his mind and he didn't want her all up in his grill.

✰He glared at the girl and yanked the string again, just to piss her off. The distance shortened again. "Oi, I'm not useless. If you think I'm useless, why don't you get the string off yourself or I'll keep yanking it."

"So unless you have a better solution, I suggest keeping your trap shut while we try to solve whoever did this, because this is not my work."

[ As soon as she feels the string tighten around her pinkie in a harsh, blood-stopping way, she grits her teeth and immediately looks up with a scowl.

There he was again- the damn fallen angel who was always in her way. Sabitsuki clutches her threaded hand warily, eyeing the one he was displaying. A red string dangles from it, preserved in a tight bow to mimic the one on her own hand.  ]

“Do not be so stupid. I want nothing to do with someone as pesky as you- though I would not put it beyond you to be the one behind this. Remove it at once, idiot angel.” [ She gives a good yank to the thread, just to get her point across. Hopefully his pinkie would snap right off and solve the problem! ]

✰Of course.

✰The damn albino that hated him was the one at the end of his string. He gave a slight scowl at her before crossing his arms. Man, someone was really cranky, crankier than Pittoo and Pit had no idea anyone could surpass his dark side's crankiness. Apparently, he had some competition with this girl.

"Hey, I'm not the one tying strings on people's fingers. If I wanted to pull a prank on you, it would have been better than this. But OK, Ms. Crankipants, hold your horses." ✰He than proceeded to try and yank the string off...

✰... only to have the length shorten drastically. Well, at least to the point where the distance between them was a bit shorter.

[ In the darkness of her dorm, Sabitsuki wakes with a slow start- crimson eyes bleary with sleep scan across the bare room, only to settle on a seemingly misplaced thread.

It is bright red, and very bizarre. Running a length of it through her fingers, the snowy-headed girl feels a tug on her pinkie. There is one end of it- connected in a neatly tied bow, secured to the digit. Her brows furrow in confusion. ]

“Eh….?”

[ Giving the thread a harsh tug, she finds it remaining slack. With a huff, the albino pushes herself from her cocoon of blankets, and follows the red string to the doorway, finding it to have been trailed beneath the bottom of the entry.

Her mind boggles at this, and, in her muddled sleepy-state, she manages only to toggle into her Uniform before making way into the hall and bee-lining to wherever the thread’s other end was.]

✰As for the angel, he had been sleeping. Really, he barely goes to class since he really doesn't need to. As long as he can observe the humans for a few hours, classes were the least of his worries. So, Pit slept the entire day away. Everyone was freaking out about this whole body switching thing anyway. Been there, done that.

✰The tug at his finger was the thing that woke him up. The male sat up and stared at his pinkie and blinked curiously. Was this some kind of trick or something? The humans needed to get better ideas or something.

✰He managed to slip into his uniform (to make the teachers and such believe he was attending class) and followed the string, tugging his forward as well, probably a bit too hard.

✰Looking forward, he saw a certain albino heading his way, with a string tied on her pinkie as well. Pit wasn't dumb, so he put two and two together and...

"Did you do this?" ✰Cue waving pinkie in the air, an unamused expression upon his face. "This joke is kind of lame."

“So did, like, everyone wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something? Or are the rumors about people switching bodies true?”

“Ah. Small child from the so called pool party. I’m afraid it’s more than just a mere waking up on the wrong side of the bed, as I’ve been cursed with the body of an old friend of mine.” Yeah, the proper way of speaking coming out of that gruff manly body was not right in the slightest.

"It's Pit. You're Lady Rachel, right?"

"Anyway, this kind of thing happened to me. Well, not really. My soul was sealed in a ring for three years and the Chaos Kin kind of made my soulless body wreck the entire place..."

✰Wow Pit, you really suck at cheering people up. He scratches his head in thought.

"Now that I think about it, that's not really the same thing at all. I'm sure it'll wear off. So if you're in his body, it's safe to assume that he's in your body?"

“well that’s goddamn obvious. you’re acting more hyper than a little girl who got her first kiss.” shakes his head and chuckles. “and like i said, that ain’t a kiss. for something to be called a ‘kiss’ has to be when two people kiss each other. the action of kissing elsewhere, well, isn’t all that significant.”

maybe explaining it would calm the angel boy down a bit. 

“and relax, i’m not going to kiss you.”

"That's true, I guess." ✰He uncovers his mouth and blinks, listening to the male and nodding his head, confirming that he understood what he said. So if it wasn't a kiss then what could Pit call it? A peck? Bleeeeh. Humans were weird, but at least he can record what he learned from this Holiday.
