hi so for those of you who don’t watch riverdale, archie found out that he wouldn’t be able to graduate (he missed a lot of his junior year because he was hiding in the canadian wilderness getting attacked by bears and left the sats to go try and kill his girlfriend’s dad) but they were like “yeah you can still walk with your friends across the stage. btw can you perform a song for everyone” and so archie sings good riddance (time of your life) by green day while all of his friends graduate for real. and then they give him an folder with no certificate in it and they make sure to zoom in and see that it’s empty and it’s at this moment that archie hallucinates seeing dead world war two veterans in the crowd and this prompts him to join the military. this is the best show ever made.

the reason people are so resistant to like.... actually once and for all throwing away the "male traits, female traits, womanhood is [something random/ poetic/whatever], etc etc" gender essentialist shit is because that would involve some form of acceptance that there is no way to exist as a person without being capable of harm + no identity on earth you can claim that protects you from causing harm to others, & there are so many younger people on here who, on some serious level beyond just in-community joking, believe that they can trust you & you're inherently a kinder person just based on your sexuality or mental illnesses or whatever. on here fighting and calculating how much damage they "actually" did based on who can "really" hurt who literally like its the pokemon type effectiveness chart
