She grinned because they both knew she would. Her grin only became bigger as he pressed a kiss to her cheek and she bumped shoulders with him playfully. In they went, sweeping the room and when nothing but jets came up, she turned to him and grinned. āClear-ā and her mouth opened and closed and her expression became very mischievous. āSo, which one of us gets called sir around here?ā she teased as she shut and barred the door, looking the planes over. They were marvels of modern engineering and technology that couldnāt save a single soul at the end of days. āWho can pass up the Blue Angel?ā she asked, walking over to it and running her hand over the cool, metal nose.
Kieran secured his gun around his shoulder again, refusing to put it down because he was paranoid like that. But it was that paranoia that kept him alive this long. He moved slowly as he came up behind Marley and wrapped his arms around the woman's middle. "I'm sir... or for you, chocolate drop, you can always call me daddy." Kieran grinned and pressed a kiss to her throat. "Up you go." He helped her into the cockpit of the jet and sat in the pilot's seat. "You belong here, baby," he said, sitting her down on his lap. It was snug and cramped, but it didn't matter. She belonged there. "How's that feel?"Ā
