Natalia looks away from the empty bin, looking back to the street to pick up more of the trash laying around. “I’m guessing someone had something to do with it — someone with great power to do that. What do you think?”

“Yeah that’s a pretty safe bet,” He tossed some trash into the bin carelessly “But the real question is who? And also why,” Quentin pondered it, there were plenty of people out there who’d make trouble for a school full of superheroes so the problem in figuring it out wasn’t a lack of suspects, there were just way too many.

“Yeah — sounds like a good plan. It’s too bad we can’t just make it disappear with the push of a button. I wish I could use magic. I’ll go find someone and let them know though. You want to come?” Nat offers as she waits, hovering in the air.

He looks up at her “Yeah sure,” he followed her away from the street they were cleaning.

“Okay, i guess let’s get back to work now that we’ve got more space to put this junk,” He kicked a empty bottle across the street then just fling it into the dumpster with his powers. “So nobody has any idea what caused that storm, but i’m sure everyone has their theories, what’s yours?”

“Let me handle this,” Quentin lifted his hand and a blue aura went around the shards (as well as his hand) and they all moved into a messy pile away from either he or Winnie would step in it, “You do have a point about the name but i think it might be better to figure that out away from the scene of the crime, somebody had to heard all this noise, right?” He turned to Winnie pondering whether or not people are stupid enough to have not heard everything

Nat looks at the dumpster, and then looks back at Quentin. Her thoughts suddenly trying to figure out how to get rid of this full one. “You wouldn’t know a trick to easily getting an empty one would you?” She asks softy, as she knows lifting it wouldn’t be something she can do. “Or I could try and find someone who can?”

“Other than trying to fling the stuff in it into the sun?” He gave a half smile and Natalia could hear him snicker under his breath “Just kidding, i honestly have no idea. I think they may have under estimated how much garbage there was here, so i think we’ll need to let them know we need a new one,”

“ i mean , i know why my body’s breaking down , ” and i wish it would hurry up and get it over with , she thought. “ i give no shits about what happens to this … corpse-in-waiting , but if your back hurts when you’re just there like , existing , you should probably get that checked , ” she said , keeping their jokey tone going. “ i guess it works , but , at what cost ? ”

“Oh, uh,” Quentin didn’t know that beatrice was having some sort of health problems, but it seemed like she didn’t want to linger on that so he thought to just go along with it. “I mean people in general, i, myself am not having back problems. But you how both people with desk jobs and people who stand up all day complain about their back? Yeah that’s what i’m talking about.”

“You were honestly pretty ‘scary’ during that mist,” Quentin admitted, he had been one of the many people who ran into Logan during that ‘fun’ time. “Like, you of all people were smiling, like a dolt on a bag of sugar five minutes before the crash, that stuff had you messed up.” Quentin laughed quietly to himself, that part of everything that happened was honestly pretty funny even if everything else wasn’t so much

“You know that’s what I heard, but he sleeps a lot.” Nat admits as she hovers back in the air to look around their area of the street that was starting to look a lot better actually. She swoops down to grab papers, and other miscellaneous items.  “This is starting to look good, I’m proud of us!”

“Well good for you,” He grabbed a few news papers off the ground, they were about the set up for the spring fling, crumpling them up into a ball he tossed them into the dumpster then took a look at the street “Huh yeah it is,” He put his hands on his hips “I think we’ll need to get a more empty dumpster if we want to finish though, this one’s next to full.”

“Hey is this water always so cold?” Quentin had done a running jump into the pool before freezing up for a moment in the water and then using his powers to get himself to the side of the pool. He was clearly not great at swimming and seemed to be more clinging to the side of the pool than just holding on, though he didn’t let that show on his face

Quentin found that sometimes the area around his place could be a bit loud at night, tonight was especially bad as his neighbor decided to binge watch the die hard movies, all of them, not even in order. He had went to the drive in cinema, it was far later than any of their shows went on so the parking lot should have been empty, but it wasn’t. Quentin approached the other person hands in his pockets trying to carry himself casually “Awfully late to be trying to catch a movie.”

“I have, like, no idea what you are talking about.” Dinah said with a shrug. Her afternoon had been spent drinking too much coffee at a cafe and not working up the nerve to talk a cute girl. “Why would I even, uh, tell anyone?”

“Oh, uh......” Quentin could tell she was probably telling the truth about this, her frustration was pretty clear. He rubbed the nape of his neck and said “I saw somebody that i guess looked like you...” He trailed off feeling kinda silly about what he just said, trying to change the topic into something, anything else “So what have you been up to?”

“ i’ve always thought of mine as a sort of waste basket , ” she muses , half - joking , half - serious. “ i mean it does sorta function as one , i don’t know if it’s supposed to have a different purpose. bodies are so weird anyway. ”

“They really are, they’re a nightmare of poor construction where things can just break for no clean reason and if you do anything at all, sit, stand, your back will hurt!” Quentin said somewhat in jest “But at least they can get the important stuff around,”

“He’s only a few months old — still quite young. His name is James after my dad. The father isn’t in the picture though.” Natalia smiles a little, and it has been an amazing experience. “Hey you never know I bet you’d have been excited if you got bars down there.” She talks as she lands down on the ground to pick up some stuff lingering in the street.

“I guess i would have,” Quentin steps over some bricks as he said that, with a flick of his hand they go into the air and towards the dumpster that is starting to get full. “So what’s he like? I hear newborns can be a nightmare with all the crying and stuff.”
