Q, xe/xem, currently reading Advanced Magick for Beginners by Alan Chapman

My friend is having lots of issues with an ex that they still live with, and I want to do a spell to keep them safe. I'm considering using either the 6th pentacle of Mars or maaaybe the 4th pentacle of the Moon. I'm pretty confident in this choice but I wanted to put the idea out here for someone it object to before I did it and fucked something up

I’m trying to learn to scry cause it seems to be important to the Seven Spheres stuff but I just tried and ended up crying on the bathroom floor (the only room in the house that can be made completely dark) cause I feel like a goddamn idiot

did the Jupiter ritual. I feel like I had some clarity through some tarot cards, but I didn't see anything scrying in the water. I got a pretty strong impression that I need to meditate longer beforehand next week, and that I need to make a talisman that will help me keep a job next time (do I trust an angel to fix my genetically sleep? strong possibly. I'm desperate). I also plan to focus on scrying this week, and try to switch from expecting clarity to impressions. the cards are calling me out

got all the bits drawn for the Jupiter initiation ritual tomorrow. excited! I triple checked that I spelled everything right this time, and the glass pen was 1000% more cooperative! also discovered during a test burn that the dollar store candles I got (instead of incense cause Damn I don’t trust dollar store incense and I can’t afford anything better) smell super strongly (I got an apple cinnamon candle and a vanilla one, since that seemed to be the sweetest scents they had) but mostly don’t burn the wax at all, which means I’ll have a good amount of wax to maybe use in a talisman? I’m also considering just saving it all and using it on a candle warmer as “incense” until I have the money to buy actual incense, but I think that would take the spirit of fire out of the ritual too much. I’ll probably end up just putting it in a candle warmer and using it whenever I need nice Jupiter smells. and I’m planning on doing 4 weeks of Jupiter rituals before I move on to Mars, just so I can get more used to it, and give the Jupiter magic enough time to work so I can get better supplies for the Mars stuff

I’m planning to do the Jupiter Conjuration rite from Seven Spheres on Thursday. I decided to draw out the Lamen of Sachiel just now during the hour of Jupiter. I did most of it with blue ink and my glass dip pen, but one of the names of God? around the edge just COULD NOT be written. This pen has always been finicky, but never this badly. I’d scribble perfectly on another piece of paper, and then go to write it, and it wouldn’t work, and I’d go back to scribbling and it would work. I finally gave up and wrote it and the inner circle part of the Lamen with a felt tip pen, but I’m anxious that the name being impossible to write Means Something

The Veritable Key of Solomon by Stephen Skinner and David Rankine

Three Books of Occult Philosophy by Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa

The Lesser Key of Solomon Ed. By Joseph H. Peterson

They’ll be my desert island books or perhaps favourite three to read and apply.

It’s kinda cheating as it does technically count as 3 books on its own, however you can but it as one complete volume. Oh absolutely, I’d say anyone who has the slightest inclination towards magic and occult Philosophy and practise must look into Agrippa. Essential occult reading in my view

Think of something you want to occur. Mentally state it.

Now randomly create, using your imagination, an abstract glyph.

Decide that the glyph represents that statement. You have a sigil.

Go and ‘charge’ it, and wait for the result.

Record the outcome.

MY VERSION

Desire:  My dishwasher reliably gets the dishes clean

Sigil: me making one (1) chicken squack

Result: Soon?

(I forgot to add this to the original post) I think I need the clean tones I did last time, it was much more difficult to concentrate on a noise than the pure tones. We'll see in a bit if it worked I guess. I may try this same exercise with a quick series of notes instead of the chicken squawk if it doesn't work.
