I headcanon that Ticket Taker would be the “tech savy” member of the troupe if it becomes necessary. He might use social media as a form of advertisement and maybe even make a webpage (or blog! Hehe). His attention to detail and ambition would motivate him to hone these technical skills and make content that is visually appealing. He seems to have experience with the latter anyways since he formats the tickets! (And probably the flyers also). I also think that he would look at trends, understand what different age groups are interested in and adapt that into the troupe’s “modernization.”
If a fandom were to arise, he would utilize this and engage with the audience (since he’d use it to their advantage). Considering how he’s able to recreate the members in his mirrors (and their personalities), I’d like to think that he might even larp and pretend to be the other members to attract attention. Lol
I’m unsure if he makes his spreadsheets using actual software (like Excel, etc.) of if we’re talking about physical accounting ledgers. But regardless, I feel like he’d still be motivated to learn. The flyers and tickets could have been printed, so that’s something else to consider.
LOL so this is based off of an ask that @nekoboydreams answered regarding how Pierrot would react if the MC just straight-up kissed him as he's asking about their boss. I love the idea behind this XD and had to drawwww. Felt he would probably lose it a bit sooner if this actually happened :P
who takes in an abandoned baby one day and then discovers the struggles of human parenting;
byr: this was put in the translator after writing it in my first language, so I’m sorry if some pronouns and grammar are all over the place:(
So… I've been toying with this idea for a one-shot that focuses mostly on Jester, based on a comic that popped up on my timeline a few days ago (I'll add the link at the end dw).
In short, a baby is abandoned outside one of the tents (for story purposes, it would be Jester's tent or maybe near the circus warehouse). In the comic, Jester comes up with the idea of feeding the little creature and making it gain weight so they can eat it later, but if you ask me, I seriously doubt they (J and TT) would be willing to spend resources on just one food source. In my eyes, it's an investment with very little return, and what are these guys if not efficient? (I just think is a lot cheaper to eat adults).
So, how could Jester be willing to take in and feed one of the animals he despises so much? Simple, an experiment!
Let's put it this way: he's 100% certain that all humans are cruel by nature, that they're terrified of everything they don't understand, and that their response to everything will always be violence or flight. So, what would happen to a human if they weren't raised by their own kind? Could the unlearned violence then be avoided? At first, it was just curiosity; in any case, they could always devour the little monster. Eight, sixteen, twenty years pass in the blink of an eye for them. It would be fun, at the very least, to be the one playing with the fate of one of those humans for a change.
But something went wrong. The experiment became a pet, and the pet soon became another person sitting at the table with them (metaphorically speaking, though I'm still not sure if they'd let that little human see them without their masks or if it would become something mundane among them).
And so it begins: a person who was never told they were human in the first place, always lies to, always deceived. They too were monsters, only… of a different kind, that is. Small, not very strong, without fangs, without claws; after all, it wouldn't be the first time a member of their family had been so weak.
But we all know what happens when someone is denied their true nature (playing a bit with a possible body dysmorphia and identity crisis) (my biggest reference is Ichirohiko from The Boy and the Beast iykyk). Illness, questions, self-destruction, self-loathing. If they were a monster, where were their horns? Why couldn't they eat the flesh of those foolish humans like everyone else? Why were them the only one who couldn't leave the confines of the circus?
Until one day it happened. While Jester, the little monster's main guardian (now in their late teens), was calmly sipping his morning coffee before the others awoke, the figure of the youngest member of his family cautiously approached. It was the same way they hunched over when they were about to confess a mischief, but this time there was something else in their big eyes that had eaten away all the sparkle in them.
The lies had finally caught up with our Jester.
But how dare the little beast even hint that they were something as vile and inferior as a human? So what if they didn't have horns, claws, or fangs? So what if their whole world was the fence surrounding the circus? They had their family, they had a purpose, something to hate, something to love.
So what if Jester never told them something as insignificant as their true race? Hadn't humans abandoned them in the first place? Hadn't they, the monsters, been the ones who had given them a home? Where had this need to wear a label like some kind of trinket for sale come from? Who had poisoned the mind of such a poor, pitiful creature?
(We’re reaching Mother Gothel’s gaslighting levels here, but he means no evil) (I think so) (I hope so)
Something, something, conflict—I don't know how to end thiss—but as a big fan of adoption stories / found family and drama, of course I loved daydreaming about this idea.
Idea I sincerely hope to write someday, all because Jester is my least favorite character and I wanted to give him a different perspective so I'm not so harsh on him.
Anywayyy, thank you for reading my rambling~
If you have any idea you would like to share please do !! I’d love to read it <3
My little (crack) theory is that the MC is being continuously drugged by Pierrot with small doses of the Doctor's serum outside of the circus as well, to make them more accepting of the whole situation, his behaviour and to keep them from waking up when he's visiting at night.
We know he's all but harmless and even willing to knock them out if they try to get away from him (he prepared to do so in advance just in case of a rejection). It would also explain the MC oversleeping at the start of day 2 and the strange taste. If he drugs them in those situations, why wouldn't he do so in general?
It's the only way I can explain the MC's strange reaction to him breaking in and literally holding them down while saying some unhinged stalker shit. It reminded me of the way they acted after eating the cake on day 1— where they misinterpreted their fear as attraction to Pierrot due to the drug.
And we know the drug serum causes people to be calm and much more accepting of what's going on in the circus.
@freakcircusofhorrors @nekoboydreams I don't use Tumblr, but I still wanted to show appreciation towards the author. Thank you for making such an amazing game!! Hope you like the little fanart I made :)
they are very dear to me even tho one of them is also a menace that needs a punch to the gut yesterday, not naming names but it starts with harlequin :)
THE FREAK CIRCUS OC: Nurse
I haven't seen anybody do this yet as an OC and all my friends have TFC oc's, but I decided to create this sort of nurse character to go alongside doctor. I imagine she's rather sweet and playful, almost persistent towards doctor as they have a business kind of relationship, but I'd like it if Nurse Lady was rather clingy on the idea of taking care of Y/N after Y/N may have been shaken up because of Pierrot or Harlequin.
I imagine she could get a bit into your personal space though, almost like how doctor was obsessed with blood, nurse is strange in her need to be a nurse to the MC.
I'd like it if her relationship with the other characters is fairly the same in terms of friendliness or teasing, but in addition to wondering about Y/N's whereabouts or if they are hurt or not (almost hoping they ARE hurt so Nurse can treat them.) But ultimately, she's friendly. I could even think she'd get a bit pouty when doctor starts to scare the player, and in turn Nurse may be just as creepy. ps- her hands are as sharp as scissors to represent bird claws
COMMISSIONS LINK IN BIO
A bit of context: this comic takes place quite a long time ago. They were younger and still figuring out how to make things work in the circus. The first version of their outfits wasn’t comfortable, since their bodies are different, which led to the redesign and custom-made clothes for all of them after this incident.
Besides the outfit changes, you’ll also get a small spoiler about Pierrot’s rule!
Also! Thank you @destinysquared for helping me correct some poses and adjust a few things in the comic!
