With all the new episodes coming out it’s been made abundantly clear Liv is a very VERY twisted person. Does what she wants because she can and is a master manipulator. Knows the right buttons to push and just… yeah.
So, got the head canon brain a ticking… and I have to wonder if maybe Obake was something Liv might’ve had a hand in.
What if she possibly exasperated the symptoms with his tumor? What if she was the one to tell him about Miyamoto’s secrets? His fake name? What if she was the one planting ideas in his head about destroying the city?
Think about it. If Obake succeeded, there could’ve been a possible nuclear fall out with the star since stars do produce radiation. The city then could’ve been at her mercy for help since she has the tools to cure any potential radiation problems. And the reason her company probably would’ve been safe during the catastrophe she may have had it ready for it. Built to withstand the flooding, the earthquake and the blast.
She would basically have San Fransokyo in the palm of her hand and no one could question her because she is the source of treatments and comfort.
As for Obake, she would still use him even if he had succeeded. And as for his failure, I think she just shrugged it off and viewed him as fun little experiment.
I say this because of her attitude to the mutated villains so far. Notice how as each of them turned, their sense of right and wrong went right out the window? Quite similar to a certain villain? What if Obake was the testing ground for figuring out how to dull the senses? To shut off that cognitive function?
It would certainly explain a few things about him.
This may be thinking to deeply but oh man it is interesting if this were the case. Can’t say for sure but if it turned out it was…
… All I could say is bravo Liv. Bravo.
Anyways, that’s just something I was musing about. Hope ya like the picture and maybe even dig the theory that goes with it. I think I might expand on it in story format but we shall see.
(Yeesh I never thought Obake would become one of my favorites. It’s Maxwell all over again.)
