{Can we just stop for a minute to talk about Kikyo’s expression here? It’s awfully pained as she is feels a guilt about using the beads of subjugation to keep Inu-Yasha in check. Earlier when she is first enchanting the beads, she tells Kaede that it is an ‘under-handed’ method. She doesn’t want to force Inu-Yasha’s actions and thus stops from presenting him with the necklace in this scene.}

You may think I’m a little obsessed with Kikyo from Inuyasha, because this is not the first post I write about her. But, as I said before she’s a complex character. She just fascinates me. I mean her mental evolution it’s pretty interesting.

I love questioning the nature/nurture aspect of Kikyo and Kagome
Cuz I think Rumiko is bringing a lot of things to bear upon Mikos during the feudal era. These were women who were not allowed to marry and who lived very regulated lives. Many japanese amidists even said miko were inherently evil,...

Yo if you’re older than 15 and you’re still calling Kikyo a bitch or a slut then you need to reevaluate your life choices.
I am also a huge fan of Kikyo. I understand why some people may dislike her at first but if you’ve really read the manga idk how you can hate her. She’s compassionate and kind and then she got screwed over. The whole “betrayal” was just a complete and unfortunate misunderstanding. Inu and Kikyo...
