Something New
"I know you drive a motorcycle, Legolas," he teased. "I was asking if you’d mind if I hopped on and spooned up behind you for the ride. It’d be quicker than waiting for Happy to come back around." And maybe, just a tiny bit, he was inviting the chance to be that close to him for some contrived reason, just to test the slowly-budding hypothesis that perhaps Clint did actually have an interest in him as something more than just a friend.
"I know you probably don’t have a helmet for me," he continued with a grin. "But hey, I trust you."
"If you have to ask," I wasn’t being clear enough. “But do you really want to spend the night with me? I might pull out my arrows and start sharpening them.” He was bluffing, of course. He didn’t sharpen his arrows. Most of them were trick arrows anyway. He had a few that were plain, sharp arrows, but the majority of them were designed for other things.
Tony laughed and gave Clint’s shoulder a light push. “Come on, you think that’s gonna scare me off? Let’s go, I’ve got an apartment to crash.” More than likely, a couch in the apartment to crash on, more specifically. But there was no sense in arguing about him with it now. He was sure the other would try to insist on taking it for himself. Which meant he’d just have to launch himself onto it as soon as they got inside and refuse to be moved.
"If that's what you want," he said, leading the way to where his bike was parked. When they got there, he straddled the seat and waited for Tony. "Wonder what all your fans will think, seeing you riding on the back of some random guy's bike," he said, amusement in his tone.
