Went to the CCT open house yesterday. I believe that I may have found my future home.

MOVED BACK

Big changes in my life right now. I have moved back to my parents house for a year before graduate school. However, I do not have a room until my brother goes back to school in August. So I am sharing a room with my sister. All of my stuff is still packed up and I feel like my life is a mess... 

Hopefully I will be getting another job soon and money will be ah-flowin’.

PIT STOP

Being the completely normal and responsible adults we are, we decided that on our way back to DC we should have dinner at Busch Gardens (Panera was our second choice) 

We got soaked on Apollo’s Chariot and ended up staying until 10pm.

It was worth it.

Yesterday was the Smithsonian Staff picnic. It was a blast!

Each staff member gets $11 (in fake picnic money) to spend on food and drinks at the Folklife Festival (Peru was the country chosen for this year).

The other intern and I actually ended up with $99, since the people that decided not to go to the picnic gave us their money.

We were grubbin’ all day.

G E O R G E T O W N 

I had a meeting at Georgetown University on Monday about pursuing my master’s degree. I think I fell in love. The area is wonderful and the program almost seems like it was created just for me. 

Now it’s time to take my GRE... (uhhh shit)

Honestly, I have not taken a math class in four years...

So today was amazing. Today was one of those days that boosts your self confidence. I am gonna be honest, I was pretty bummed out about some recent events before today... but I am doing good now! 

Met with some advisors at Georgetown University about graduate school and went to a National’s game.

Busy Bitch

For some reason I T H R I V E off of stress. Give me one project and I will do good job. Give me five projects to do and I will go above and beyond on each and every project.

This Monday and Tuesday were C R A Z Y!

I LOVED IT

Monday: 9 AM Getting everything ready for a progress meeting on Tuesday about one of my current projects. 11 AM Go to lunch with an old professor/friend 1 PM Go to another meeting and begin a new project 5 PM EMERGENCY CHANGE IN TRAVEL PLAN 6 PM Pack accordingly for new travel plan

Tuesday: 9:30 AM Staff meeting 11 AM Progress meeting 12:15 PM Lunch meeting at NMNH 3 PM Leave for Airport

The best part about this is that I will be on vacation the rest of the week

Happy breakfast/Garbage Lunch I'm really kicking butt at this internship. I am really proud of the work I'm doing and I know these are all important things I will need to know how to do in the future.
