it really is just sad isn’t it … it’s so obvious through eastermans grief over divorcing irene that he really truly did love her… it only feels fair to imagine irene loved him just as deeply. can you imagine sending your husband letter after letter for YEEEEARS and never getting a response ????!!! oh my poor irene … i’d be terrified. the divorce was hard on the both of them i think, but even harder for irene to finally initiate it. but they were so happy on their wedding day and that’s gotta count for something right?
