"I certainly wouldn’t stop you." Derrick smiled down to her, "But don’t get me too riled up or we’ll have another incident we went through only minutes ago. Derrick glanced to the door, judging the speed of the elevator and the floor Kimberly’s apartment on, Derrick made the call that there could be enough time for a little bit of fun.

"We don't wanna scare more elderly citizens now do we?" Kimberly chuckled and tilted her head lightly. "I don't think we'll be able to explain why there are a bunch of terrified elder people." She chuckled and played a little with his hair.

"Man if only I did as well as that in school!" Derrick chuckled. Derrick was coming down off his meds, but he could blame speaking his next thought on his drugged up state. "I don’t suppose I could convince you to put the rest of my clothes by our shoes?" And he giggled a little, so maybe the meds weren’t rubbing off completely.

"I'm sure you did just great in school." Kimberly grinned before blinking surprised. "Boy what did they drug you up with?" She chuckled faintly. "I'm sorry honey but no getting naked until the third date."

Maya shrugged. “He yelled,” she said tentatively. Maya continued to look at her father. Then she remembered something. “When he was asleep,” Maya was thinking aloud, “He said something about… aliens? I think. He was babbling, before they hit him with more tranquilizer.”

"Aliens?" Kimberly rose a brow and once more glanced at the sleeping form of the Wolverine. "So possibly the people who took our parents are from another planet? That or your dad was just really high on tranquilizer." She shrugged faintly.

"Well, that’s one to tell the grand kids." Charlie chuckled a little to himself, folding his arms behind his back as they walked. "Well, I wouldn’t go as far to say as friends but we speak civilly which I really don’t seem tot do with anyone else in this god forsaken place." He rolled his eyes. "But get in there… I hope to hear all the stories." He laughed again, before refusing to crouch for her. "Aw, well. I’d love to see you fall flat on that pretty face."

"Not that bad, remember… I’ve got long hair too. So…" Charlie held open the door. "Get your arse out there."

"That's gonna be an interesting one." Kimberly laughed. "That'll certainly go into the history books as the weirdest way to begin an relationship." She winked. "Don't you dare stealing my best friend away from me. Who else am I going to torture into watching chickflicks with? Maybe that's something you secretly enjoy?" She chuckled and finally let go of Charlie, not wanting to end up flat on her face. "You're so mean." She poked her tongue out.

"...If you make photo's I will dropkick you." She warned before stepping outside with a groan, that groan only becoming louder as she felt the rain fall down on her. "Why are we doing this again?"

May blinked a few times, shaking herself from her dark thoughts as Kim clicked in front of her.  “I’m being melodramatic I know, but at least I’m honest” she shrugged; it was no big deal after all. “I know exactly what I just said. And I mean it too.” She stated, determined. “Dumb or not, sitting around here and getting drunk or lazing around until something interesting happens is not my style. But it is theirs, I need to find him Kim. I have to.” She shook her head.  “Evan can have as much feelings for Charlie or as little as he pleases, like I said it’s none of my business, but no that’s not what I’m worried about at all.” She sighed, looking around the room. “That’s not what I meant. But it’s not exactly easy to deal with the fact that you’re boyfriends best buddy wants you dead. Not that I give a shit what Charlie thinks but it’s the principals of the whole thing that matter” she groaned. “In hindsight I think you’re wrong, I think he would be fine. He’s a strong man he could go on without me just as easy as the next” she shrugged. “No I wouldn’t want to leave Keat here. Hell I’d take him with me if I could, but one I know he wouldn’t t leave Astrid and two I know they can protect each other so he would be okay” she smiled. “But unfortunately you’re right. Leaving would do nothing but create an even bigger mess and I don’t want that, at least not right now. And to be quite honest I’m not sure I would be strong enough to leave Evan in the first place. Well not unless his life depended on it anyway. Because I need him more than he knows..” she trailed off, chuckling at her remark. “And I’m pretty sure you would hunt me down if that ever was the case so we can’t have that now can we” she smiled.

"Being honest does not always mean that you're making the right decisions honey." Kim said and moved her own hair out of her face, it bugged the hell out of her. "Don't leave alright? Far too many people need you around her. If you go, shit will go down. I know that for sure." She said with a faint sigh and a tilt of her head. "What trail do you plan on following? They leave no traces behind. They're gone before you know it. Not a single one of the parents left a trail behind. They left their children for dead and didn't show their faces again." She lifted an eyebrow. "I don't think he wants you dead. That's a little radical, even for Charlie." She sighed softly and held her hands up in the air. "It's your decision but just to quote my dad for a second: it's a stupid ass decision." She chuckled faintly. "Hell yeah I would chase your ass and drag your lycra covered ass back with me."

“Hard? The fucking asshole would prefer me dead and out of their way..” May growled, before calming herself. “I know. And that only makes me despise Charlie more.. He was there for him when I wasn’t. “She shrugged. “Either way there’s nothing I can do about it. They can be friends or whatever if they want. But I will not be a part of it” she shook her head at the thought. “No we’re not. But..” She sighed, running a hand through her hair, “Sometimes I think maybe it would be best if I did pull out of this whole life with SHIELD in general. Leave the two of them to it, Evan seems to be happy enough with him. He doesn’t need me anymore. And Keaton has Astrid. I could disappear in the night, disguise my tracks and no one would ever know where I went. I could go after dad…” She muttered staring blankly in thought at the wall behind Kim. “Everyone would be more than happy”. She nodded, smiling a little “Thanks Kim, I didn’t think you would.” Only on second thought May knew Kim was Evan’s best friend, she probably shouldn’t have blurted out her inner most thoughts to her of all people, because if it involved Evan being hurt it she would more than likely tell him. But she knew Kim was only trying to help, and that’s all that really mattered.

"Whoa, back the fuck up now Parker." Kimberly said before snapping her fingers a few times to get herself but mainly to get May to focus. "Do you realize what you just said? You're actually planning to disappear in the middle of the night and leave your little brother and Evan behind. I'm sorry sweetheart, but that is the dumbest idea ever." She shook her head. "Evan has zero feelings for Charlie if that is what you are worrying about. They're just friends like you and me or like you and Astrid. Yes they went through shit together but that doesn't mean he has deleted you from his hard drive and replaced you with Charlie. Also, Charlie is pretty head over heels for Anna. Evan loves you to death, I'm pretty sure that he will slip right back into his first state when you leave like that. He'll just block out the world and stop speaking again." She sighed for a second and tried to figure out her words. "You brought Keaton in here not too long ago, you don't actually plan on leaving him here alone right? He's still recovering, what do you think will the first thing he'll do when he find out you've left?" She crossed her arms and rose a brow at May. She could honestly not believe her ears. "Evan loves you more than anyone in the world and you're pretty much Keaton's life. Plus, think of poor me. When you leave, who will I have to hang out with and talk about girl stuff with?" She added with a faint smile. "No worries, keeping secrets is pretty much my job."

"Ooohhhh! Look at you!" Charlie continued to laugh, "Look at that smile, jesus shit! When did this happen?!" He asked, nudging her side again. "Cheeky bastard never told me he had any interest in you, he kept that one quiet." Charlie said as he tuck his hair behind one of his ears. "Nah I can’t2 He shook his head with a grin at her. "And good."

"Just because you don’t want me to see that hair of yours. Come on, what’s the worst that could happen?" Charlie grinned, looking down at Kim.

"A bit after our mission together. He got injured and when I dragged him to the hospital he got these heavy meds and just kept on going about how much he wanted to kiss me. So in the end we sort of did... I'm not so good at telling stories don't you judge me." Kimberly pinched his cheek quickly before he could speak up again. "I didn't know you guys were friends in the first place." She smiled softly. "You bend your knees right now or I'm gonna end up tripping over my own feet." She shook her head with a faint grin.

"The worst that could happen that I'm gonna be seen by people I know with terrible hair. That's not my thing honey." She huffed softly.

"Maybe you should give me more tests to pass?" Derrick raised his brow with a wolfish smirk. The shoes fell off the bed, and Derrick looked over. "No fair! I can't do that!" He said, referencing his ankle injury.

"I doubt there are anymore tests, you've passed them all in one go." Kim winked before chuckling. "I'll help you." She smiled softly before quickly undoing his shoes, letting them join hers on the floor. "Tadaa~"

"That doesn't mean it wasn't awkward as fuck!" Derrick laughed, leaning against the wall, his head against it and looking up. "I say we just sprint to your apartment." Derrick shrugged, "It'll prevent us from being walked in on by your neighbors."

"Well of course it was." Kimberly laughed as they stood together, looking up at him when he finally looked back. "I say that's a good idea because standing here like this just makes me wanna kiss you more." She winked playfully.

"Ohh…" Charlie smiled down at her, letting Kim wrap her arm around his shoulders. "I’ve heard a few things, not much but there two of you are together, correct?" A smirk appeared on his lips again. "And I can’t help that you’re small." He laughed and poked his side again. "Good, send him a lovely message about it."

"I am!" He grinned, lightly picking up a few strands of her hair. "Umm… No, I would like coffee now if you don’t mind. and A deal we have." He smirked, shaking her hand.

Kimberly smiled sweetly. "He may be staying at my apartment at the moment and we may be together yes." She couldn't stop herself from smiling widely and looked away for a second before chuckling. "You can totally bend your knees to make this easier for me." She laughed playfully, returning the poke. "I will make sure that the message is clear and lovely."

"But... It's pouring outside. There is no way in hell that you are willing to go outside right now just to get coffee. You'll be soaked before you reach the end of the street." Kimberly said in a little whine.

Derrick bowed his head a little, “I am at your command, m’lady.” He said like a chivalrous English knight, and brought his head up with a laugh, “Although I was never good at tests..”

Kimberly couldn't help herself but to smile widely. "Aren't you a romantic one." She smiled softly before quickly kicking her shoes off as she was still wearing them. "Well you damn well passed this test." She winked.

Derrick quickly let go of Kimberly, putting her back on her feet. He kept his head down and looked away. "I-I'll just take the next elevator..." The woman said in a shaky voice.

With a quick step forward, Derrick tapped the door close button, maybe he was a little too eager to get out of such an awkward situation. The paint all over his shirtless chest didn't provoke any questions, so Derrick was thankful. He didn't say a word though, still feeling a little awkward.

Kimberly glanced over his shoulder at her neighbor until the doors closed and she quickly hit her face on his shoulder. "That was not how I thought you'd one day meet my neighbor." She mumbled before slowly looking up at him again, noticing the look on his face. "Relax Derrick... I'm sure she did the same thing when she was younger..."

"You definitely do. So, now… I want to know what all of these iddy bitty rumors going around about you and Derrick? Want to confirm them for me?" Charlie grinned brightly down at her, waiting for an answer. "I fucked up their relationship… Great one Charlie." He muttered to himself mostly. "Who knows, but I did screw up a bit. But Evan mostly. That’s all I’m saying."

"Someone’s gotta do it." Charlie chuckled back, shaking his head at her. "I’m not going to stop you. I’m just going to wait outside your office until you turn up with your god awful hair." He continued to tease her. "Friday night, and I’ll pay half."

Kimberly looked up at Charlie with a smug smirk on her lips. "Oh you've been hearing rumors about me and Derrick huh?" She said in a sing-song tone of voice. "Well... It depends on what you have heard about me and a certain mister Woodrow." She smiled playfully but her face pretty much showed that what Charlie had heard about them was true. She quickly stood on her toes to reach his height and wrapped her arm around his shoulders. "Dude you're too tall..." She muttered. "Anyway, stop guilt tripping yourself. That won't help anyone. It wasn't your fault and I'll make sure to hang Evan upside down from the ceiling and make him make up with May." She said with a grin.

"You're not seeing me with my terrible hair!" Kimberly poked his side and looked outside as they neared the doors. "..." Of course it was pouring outside. "Let's get coffee another time huh...?" She quickly turned back and hoped Charlie wouldn't see the rain outside. "Half? Deal!"

“Wow..” May smiled, her heart clenching at the thought. She missed him already and she’d only seen him a few hours ago. “Paradise.. Ha.” She snorted, shaking her head. “We were.. I just. I need some time to sort my own life out, and then the fact Evan asked Charlie to move in with him drove me over the edge so I left..” She sighed, smiling at Kimberly faintly. “Usually I go to my brother when I need someone to talk too, but he’s off with As. As per usual.” She shrugged. “Okay, well to start things off I screwed up for the first time the other night during patrol.. I wasn’t sleeping very well with Evan away and I’ve been a bit slow lately because of that. I got into a usual fight with the same old crims, only this time I wasn’t concentrating enough to pick up on the gun the guy had hidden and barely missed the shot.” Lifting her shirt slightly she showed her the large red gash that was healing on her hip. “And I haven’t told anyone but you, so I trust you’ll keep that between us. Anyway, with that and dealing with Keaton’s withdrawals, the whole Charlie thing was the icing on the cake I suppose you could say. Considering he’s been threatening my brother and treating him like dirt. Next thing he’s back from his mission with Evan and their best fucking friends. I mean what the hell does Ev expect me to do just accept that his best mates a fucking asshole?” May groaned, her hand resting on the bridge of her nose as she calmed herself. “I’m so sorry Kim. I shouldn’t be burdening you with this..” she muttered apologetically.

Kimberly listened to May explain what was going on, a little frown resting in between her eyebrows. Well of course this was a situation who had gotten worse and worse within seconds as neither of them had clearly been thinking straight. “Well…” She said. “It’s hard to accept their sudden chance in behavior. I’m more than aware how it used to be because he ranted about it for hours and now since their missions they seem to have become friends. I know this is not what you want to hear but if you go through what they went through, you start bonding because the other is the only one who saw the same thing.” She pinched the bridge of her nose for a second before looking at May again. “Do you think you guys are over for good…?” She asked with a pulled up eyebrow. She was rather surprised to see the wound. “I won’t tell anyone… I promise…” She said with a nod. It was not her place to tell others. “I don’t think he expects you to accept it out of no where, he probably just wanted to help.” She shook her head lightly. “Don’t worry about it. That’s what friends are for.”

Derrick grinned, and put his hands on the back of her thighs. He lifted her up, as he leaned in and kissed her, wrapping her legs around him. With Kimberly propped up between the wall and him, he took one hand up from holding her thigh, and placed it on the side of her neck gingerly.

Kimberly let out a little laugh and quickly wrapped her legs around his waist to keep herself up. "Hmm a strong man." She whispered against his lips before returning the kiss. She opened one eye when the elevator doors opened and she was met with the shocked look on her 75-year old neighbor. She slowly pulled back. "...Uhm... Hello there Miss Mary..."

"As if you didn’t know!" Derrick laughed, then biting his lip. "Well I’m willing to prove myself." He leaned in slowly, kissing Kimberly softly. A straight face that he promised was not achieved, and he couldn’t help but smile.

Kimberly chuckled when he laughed, he just seemed so much different than the boy she had met not that long ago. "Oh really now?" She said with a little purr and slowly closed her eyes, returning the kiss they shared. She couldn't stop herself from running her fingers through his hair.
