Driving on the wrong side of the road, on the wrong side of the car, shifting with the wrong hand was a challenge in itself.... Now, add 23 hours of travel time, less than 5 hours of sleep, and a 3.5 hour road trip, but WE MADE IT!!! After sleeping a total of 14 hours, we were ready to take on Killarney! Our first stop was Killarney National Park. We visited Ross Castle and Muckross House and Garden before hiking (21,600 steps 😉) around the park. Pictures will never do the sites justice... or maybe I just need to step up my photography skills. The lake, the vegetation, Torc Waterfall. Also, I had no idea there were so many shades of green!! Lastly, it wouldn't be a proper post if I didn't talk about food. 🤓 Our dinner tonight was the bomb.com! We went to Cronin's Restaurant and put our name on the waiting list. 1.5 hours, 2 pubs, 3 beers, and 1 cider later, we were seated in a cozy booth upstairs. Ryan ordered Sheppard's Pie, which was good, but I don't know how amazing ground beef and mashed potatoes can get. The Grilled Pork Steak though.... WOOW. A grilled pork steak topped with sautéed onions and cherry tomatoes, chorizo, and melted goat cheese. Whaaa?! Man, I could eat that for days! We also had Sticky Toffee Pudding and ice cream for dessert (Yup, fatties. Totally worth it!). Off to Galway tomorrow, but not without stopping at the Cliffs of Moher first! ♡kp
