’ my class to learn how to tell time starts at one thousand and thirty. ‘ //kimmyhasablog
One-thousand and thirty? The Doctor knew in his hearts that humans in this day and age hadn’t yet started referring to time that way. It wouldn’t happen for another 29,746 years, in fact. Obviously this woman was from the future, but had forgotten the ways of people from the past.
But how did she get here? He was beginning to get paranoid Missy was involved with this somehow.
He leaned in closer to the girl, looking from side to side before he spoke.
“Listen. I’m not going to tell anyone your secrets. I don’t even want to know how you got here, but in order for you to blend in, you have to use the people of the pasts words for time.”
Placing a hand on her shoulder, he caught an intense gaze with the stranger.
“And you really can’t be doing things as obvious as taking ‘how to tell time’ classes. It’s too obvious. Don’t you remember what they taught you about time keeping in history class?”
A yelp let out as the woman twisted his arm and he straightened himself up when she let go, taking a few steps away from the lady to avoid further altercations. Where were his manners anyway? It’s not exactly polite to lay your hands on strangers even if they came from the future to ruin things. Certainly he wouldn’t be placing a hand near her again. Besides, his arm was currently in no state to do anything but dangle at his side like a bruised noodle.
“I’m sorry,” he stated, referring to the touching thing, “it won’t happen again.”
Adjusting his arm and taking a second to breathe, he answered her question. “Well, if I’m correct, they teach time-telling in history class where you’re from, so yes, you probably should have.”
pelle”Okimmyhasablog:
“They teach time-telling in Indiana now?” She asked, a tiny bit confused by this strange man. Alright, Kimmy, what would Titus do in this situation? “Uh, Je ne parle pas Anglaise…” The one sentence she remembered and managed to get her out of so many awkward situations…
Secondly, which way was the best way to run? It would probably be better if she didn’t lead him to her home, so head to Broadway, there you can lose him and meet up with Mickey.
It was becoming more and more apparent that this was just a normal woman from the 21st century. In fact, the Doctor was almost embarrassed by his own misjudgment about this whole thing. “Right, well-” he was about to speak more when she started speaking French. “Oh-… Er… Je parle Francais aussi!… J’mappelle the Doctor. Et vous?”
The only sentences he remembered from French class were ‘I speak french too!’ and ‘My name is the Doctor. And you?’ He also remembered ‘Mon chat est de trente livres de surpoids’ which means ‘my cat is thirty pounds overweight’ but thankfully he managed to gather two other sentences from his brain that were of a lot more use in this situation.
“Eh Voulez-vous dancer! Beyonce, je m’appelle Kimmy, Paris, Eiffel Tower, Lafayette!” Kimmy said in a mock French accent, trying to come over as someone who could actually speak French as well... though she was failing miserably! What were the chances of meeting someone who can speak French in America? Americans already hate speaking English let alone another language.
It became more and more clear to her that this man was... strange to say the least. Though she adored his bow-tie and his super cool tweed trousers! It made him look like a professor in those college movies Titus is always on about.

Surprised by the sudden touch of the very strange man, she grabbed his arm and twisted it onto his back. “I do not like being touched!” She shouted, a few women cheering her on.
“Yes gurl! Get that creep!”
“Don’t let a man push you around baby girl!”
“Prostitutes have rights too, you weirdo!”
Kimmy, eventually let go of the man, taking a step back. “What are you talking about? I have to take a time telling class to get my GED, we haven’t learned about time keeping in history… was I supposed to study that subject?”

"I'M NOT A CHILD I AM 18 I AM AN ADULT." (Oraculumin)
@oraculumin
“Alice… middle name, last name! I know you are an adult but I’m more adult than you are! So, by the power vested in me as a grown up who is an adult, you will do as I say!”
She gave the woman a rather amused look; if only she knew the truth, after all Alice was over a hundred years old, she was far more of an adult that Kimmy would probably ever be; a fact she couldn’t use without revealing some terrible secrets. ❛ Cullen. Alice Cullen. ❜ She pursed her lips, fighting the urge to laugh, ❛ What happens if I don’t ?? ❜
❛ I really wish you’d stop thinking of me as a child. I might be short, but I’m still 18. I can make my own decisions. ❜ And better ones too, with the little trick up her sleeve.
“Well, if you don’t listen to me, then I’ll be forced to tell your father about what you do.” In Kimmy’s plan there were several flaws. 1. This wasn’t the child she babysat. 2. Alice Cullen was actually eighteen years old, unlike Xan. 3. She didn’t know where Alice lived or who her father was.
“But I’m the one who lives in New York and knows the area, yeah, I know all the does and don’ts, I’m hella street smart!”
“They’re terribly comfortable. I think everyone will be wearing them in the future.” //kimmyhasablog
“What were we talkin’ about again?” Olive asked, sliding into a nearby seat, pie in hand.
“New York, well… technically in China but I got them in New York. I also have some normal shoes…” That she had to steal from drug-users when they fell of the telephone wire. She kept wondering why they even needed those shoes… they didn’t even fit any of them! “But these are my favourites!”
“I see why,” she commented.·“Those aren’t like anything I’ve seen before.”
“Yeah, It’s strange, I didn’t even see children wearing these while they’re like, really big with kids apparently.” She replied.

“What were we talkin’ about again?” Olive asked, sliding into a nearby seat, pie in hand.
“I’m wearing them right now, and the best part… these are heelies! They have wheels in the heel! I look fly as a Kimmy when I roll down the streets on these babies.” She said, trying to sound as cool as she possibly could. She raised her leg up in the air to show Olive her glittery, shiny sneakers.
Everything Kimmy said was entirely news to Olive. She stared at the shoe which was brightly colored, lit up, and seemed to almost sparkle. “Where do they make those?” she asked, unable to tear her eyes away from the unusual shoes.

“What were we talkin’ about again?” Olive asked, sliding into a nearby seat, pie in hand.
“Shoulder shirts, you know, those shirts that fall off one shoulder. They’re so comfortable! It’s a shame that no one wears them these days.” Kimmy replied cheerfully. “And light-up sneakers. People say they’re for children but they’re so cool! Just look at them, they have little lights!”
“Shoulder shirts?” Olive furrowed her eyebrows. Shoulder shirts hadn’t hit her town yet. People were still dressing in what normal people would probably call 60’s clothing. “I haven’t seen people wearin’ those. I haven’t seen light up sneakers either.” She was beginning to wonder if there was something she needed to know.

“You must have fainted… I’ll get you some water.”

Astrid stopped for a moment and stared. “Why… Would anything be upside down?” She murmured. “How the hell did you get from New York to here?” She shook her head. “I’m more than a little confused. You can probably tell.”
“I don’t know, I went to bed in New York and I woke up here… I’m going to call Titus.” She took out her cellphone and looked at the texts she’s been sent. “Ms Jacqueline needs me now… That was sent yesterday! Oh! Great! I now owe Lillian and Titus 900 dollars for plane ticket to Australia…”
Astrid folded her arms over her chest and looked at Kimmy. “I don’t know what drugs you used, but no one just falls asleep in New York and wakes up in Australia like that.” She snapped her fingers. “But it’s a few hours to the nearest international airport, so you’d better start walking.” She frowned, still unsure what to make of this strange woman.
“I’m not a drug user! Can you get a second hand high from smelling a meth-head’s breath? Because then I might’ve used meth...” She said, putting her phone back in her pocket. “So... which way to the airport?”
