Being a veteran I see this picture as a representation of life. You think life it such a straight road but when you look you see that there is a road ahead and a corner of unseen blessings. Into unknown land of not knowing what is ahead of us. God will always have us and knows what is ahead. I love this picture

The scars that made me (poem)

As a child, I was taught that emotions were weapons, not something to be shared. When I showed anger, it became a fight. When I showed sadness, it was dismissed. So, I learned to bury my feelings, to keep them hidden where no one could use them against me. Now, I don't know how to let them out. I don't know how to cry without feeling like I've failed, or how to speak my truth without fearing it will be turned into a fight. The silence feels safer, but it's also the loneliest place to be.

Psalms 23

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters, he restores my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for thou are with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies. He anoints my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and mercy shall follow me all of the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

I will have to say that this verse was a comfort to me while I was growing up. While seeing this kind of scenery at the same time. Just being in the nature for sure makes me feel some sort of calmness and closeness to the Lord.

God has comforted me so much through Psalm 23 too, through some of my hardest times. <3 Praise Jesus 🙏

Hi my name is Kim. I am a nature photographer. I love to travel and I love to be show the work of God's creation. This most recent trip that I took was to Montana. I am originally from Oregon so I have missed these kinds of views. I am a 4-year army Veteran and a 10-year Correctional Officer Lieutenant Veteran. I never thought that I would ever start my journey as a photographer.

This is what brings me the most happiness and joy. Along with my fiancé I want to share our story and photography with the world. I hope that you all will enjoy and show your support for us and our lives together. I never thought that I would ever get to this point in my life but starting over and starting a new family without the toxic one that I grew up with is the first and best step that I have made in my life.
