Trying to get this one right
The original sketch was fun to do and I liked it at the time, but when I finally got around to rendering it I started to lose interest. I think I went wrong with the type of brush I used to line it, but I also just wasn’t vining with the look. Chance looked to stiff and his arm/body was awkward; And Lee didn’t look as panicked as I’d imagined.
After a few days of leaving the canvas alone so I could look at it clearly I concluded that it just wasn’t working and I’d have to start CLEAN over
The re-draw sketch went over much better, the poses better/more dynamic (at least for my art) and the intensity of the situation more realized. Also the hands look SO much better. I’m hoping the line-art/coloring process goes well but we’ll see 😭
